Bonded Confessions: A MMF Ménage à Trois (Stellar Bonds: A Sci-Fi Reverse Harem Romance Series) Kindle Edition

4.3 out of 5 stars 18 ratings

Jace Jäger thrives on chaos, bad decisions, and zero regrets. He’s just along for the ride—wherever the night (and his next drink) takes him. So when a gorgeous blonde at the bar propositions him for a threesome—with one catch—he’s all in. The only problem? He needs to convince one of his crew mates to join in on the fun. Shouldn’t be too hard, right? But what starts as a wild night quickly turns into something far messier—because once the line between friendship and desire blurs, there’s no going back. And Jace, for once, isn’t sure he wants to.

Bonded Confessions is a short novella set in the world of the Stellar Bonds series, offering a deeper dive into the personal lives of the Sol System Security Force crew. This story follows Jace, a seasoned officer with a penchant for bad decisions, as he struggles to stay off the sauce while docked at Harmony Station. Despite his best efforts, he finds himself back in a bar, facing temptation—not just from the drink in front of him, but from an alluring stranger who proposes a no-strings-attached threesome.

Never one to turn down a good time, Jace agrees—on the condition that he can convince one of his crewmates to join in. What starts as a night of indulgence quickly takes a turn when Jace stumbles upon a side of his crew member he never expected to see. Beneath the physical connection, hidden wounds and long-buried secrets begin to surface, forging a deeper, unexpected bond between them. Bonded Confessions explores the messy, complicated ties of camaraderie, desire, and the unspoken traumas that shape the people we trust with our lives.

Hi, I’m Harper Crane! By day, I’m a project manager, keeping things organized and running smoothly. But my real passion? Writing smut—steamy, pulse-pounding, leave-you-breathless erotica.

As a longtime reader of the genre, I finally took the leap into writing my own stories, blending my love of space, science fiction, and all things spicy. Born and raised in Chicago, I’m also a foodie who loves to cook, a wife to a wonderfully supportive husband, and a devoted dog mom to one mischievous little beast.

If you’re into sizzling scenes with a sci-fi twist, check out my work! And don’t forget to join my email list for exclusive freebies and updates.

This is the second thing I have read by Crane and really enjoyed it. I appreciate how quickly Crane dives into the most important parts of a complex relationship without the “fluff” language. Also really appreciate that every sexual encounter in Cranes writing explores healthy boundary setting and communication with sexual partners. I read Easy Math first, so I was familiar with the characters and the world, however I believe this story can stand alone if you don’t read it first. Crane’s writing is succinct, and enjoyable to read- can’t wait for the next story to drop!!

This is the first book I have read by this author and I really did not know what to expect. It is a steamy spicy read and the connections and communication between the characters was exceptional. Each chapter was intriguing and some made me think about events long after I was done reading. Very different and enjoyable.

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

I picked up Bounded Confessions on a whim after spotting it in a used bookstore, drawn in by the title and the worn cover that promised something real. And real it was—almost too much at times. This book feels like someone’s late-night journal entries, the kind you write when you’re wrestling with your past and trying to figure out where you fit in the world. It’s not polished or fancy, but that’s what makes it hit hard. The author lays out their life—mistakes, regrets, and all—like they’re daring you to look away, but I couldn’t.

The stories bounce around a bit, from childhood memories that made me wince (that bit about the broken swing set stuck with me) to some heavy adult choices I’m still not sure how to feel about. There’s a thread about feeling trapped—by family, by expectations, by your own head—that I related to more than I expected. It’s not all gloom, though; there’s this quiet hope that creeps in, like the author’s figuring it out as they go. I loved the little sketches scattered through the pages—rough, but they added something personal.

It’s not perfect. Some parts drag, and I got lost in a few tangents that didn’t quite connect for me. The ending left me hanging a bit too—like, okay, now what? But maybe that’s the point. If you’re into books that feel like a heart-to-heart with a stranger, this one’s worth a read. It’s messy and human, and I’m still thinking about it a week later. Might even flip back through it tonight.

I wasn’t sure what to expect when I started this short story, but it turned out to be a steamy read, much like the BL manhwa I used to enjoy. The writing is well done, and each chapter draws you in even more. The story focuses on uncovering the pasts of other characters while showing how much the crew treasures Izzy, especially Jager and Soren. Their bond feels authentic, and the emotions are conveyed naturally without overly pushing boundaries. I also appreciate how the characters show respect and care for Alexa and Izzy. This might be a great book to read before bedtime—I really liked it!

I didn’t know what I was getting into with this one but damn, it pulled me in fast. Jace is messy, reckless, and kinda hot in that disaster way, and the story had that same BL vibe I used to love reading. It’s steamy, yeah, but there’s real heart too. You see how close the crew is, and how deep stuff runs between Jace, Soren, and Izzy. I def felt things reading it.

Bonded Confessions is a balance between intense romance and spicy scene. WHile the plot is not as developed as I would have liked, this book is still a page turner. Jaeger and Alexa's fiery encounter at Club Half Moon offers a fast paced escape from reality, if even for a short while. If the stunning cover drew you in like it did me, you will enjoy the narrative as it does not disappoint. Ideal for readers in search of a quick, spicy read with less emphasis on story complexity.

I wasn’t sure what to expect when I started this, but it turned out to be a solid, steamy read. The story focuses on three people figuring out their connection in a world that feels different but not confusing. Their chemistry is believable, and the emotions feel real without being over the top. It’s more about their relationship than the sci-fi setting, which I liked. If you’re into something intimate with a bit of a twist, this works.

OMG, HOT! First read from this author, and yeah, it was erotica, but really, the story was poignant and well developed character wise just in this small engagement. Very curious to know more about the crew from this small sampling, although I feel like I've spoiled it for Mac. Will still read more :)

I really enjoyed Bonded Confessions! Jace is such a fun, chaotic character, and I loved how this story wasn’t just about wild nights and bad decisions—it had real depth, too. The chemistry was intense, and the emotional layers caught me off guard in the best way. The writing pulls you in, and the relationships feel authentic, messy, and raw. My only complaint is that I wanted more—some parts felt a little rushed, and I wished there was more time to sit with certain moments. But overall, it’s a steamy, emotional read that I’d definitely recommend!
