Butterfly Kisses (The Colwich Lake Series Book 3) Kindle Edition

4.9 out of 5 stars 25 ratings

At eighteen years old, Beatrix Oliver has had to learn many painful truths.

Happiness can be ripped away in a single heartbeat, leaving cold, lonely emptiness behind.

Even the fiercest, most agonising love can’t keep people with you if they decide not to stay.

And not even the butterfly kisses she was always told could heal anything can take away the pain of being left behind.

Starting at university is the chance she’s craved to break away from the town where she’s been an object of pity for so long. Moving to Manchester is about fun, friendship and learning. She has no intention of falling in love. In fact, nothing could be further from her mind. Love has only ever meant loss before, so why should now be any different?

And then an unexpected face from the past turns up, blurring the black and white lines she’s always drawn for herself into confusing shades of grey, and she’s forced to face up to the fact that you don’t always get a choice when it comes to giving your heart away.

H. A. Robinson is a jet-setting billionaire with a home on each continent, who spends her free time saving kittens from trees and babies from burning buildings. A graduate of Hogwarts and a frequent visitor to Narnia, she drinks coffee in Central Perk and tames dragons on Westeros.

In her dreams…

In reality, she’s a teaching assistant living in a small town in Cheshire, who would almost always choose fantasy over reality. She’s been an obsessive reader from the moment she picked up her first Enid Blyton book, more years ago than she cares to admit, and enjoys nothing more than getting lost in new worlds and adventures from the minds of all the amazing authors out there.

She’s had the voices of characters in her head for as long as she can remember, and puts them down on paper in order to convince herself and the men in white coats that she isn’t crazy.

So much Love for Butterfly Kisses! Trix’s story!
I Loved How this Talented Author not only brought a sensitive subject into the story but made the Villain the Hero with such ease.
All my Favorite characters are present and I am completely happy how things worked out in the end!
    Well done! H.A.Robinson❤️

    Beautifully written. Heartfelt. Healing.
A “villain” (of sorts) from a previous book is featured as a main character in this one. Robinson effortlessly made me—and Trix—fall for him despite ourselves. If that doesn’t say it all, I don’t know what does.
Loved it to the point where I’m nearly speechless, which never happens. Bravo.

This book was amazing!!! I loved Trix and .... (you‘ll have to read it to find out who she ends up with 😉)
HA Robinson wrote such a beautiful story that will break your heart (be prepared for lots of tears) and heal it trough out their journey! It’s a rough ride but with the help of their friends and each other they can get trough everything!
The side characters, as always, are great, and we get to see some familiar faces too <3
I just LOVED IT and can’t recommend this series and this amazing author enough!!

I couldn't wait to read Trix's book. She was a huge fave of mine in the previous book and it delivered. Loved every word.

I've really come to enjoy this series and we finally get Beatrix' story. It was a rollercoaster ride and had emotional elements in it that definitely will pull on all your heartstrings. Although in the beginning I was a bit lost and it took me a few chapters to get into the story, it picked up and you couldn't just help but feel for the two main characters. You can read this as a standalone but would suggest to read the other two first so you can have more of a fuller experience. Definitely worth the read!
Beatrix "Trix" has moved to Manchester hoping to have a fresh start and in amidst of her college classes, she gets a job that hopefully will also keep her busy. Everything seems to happen in a blur and days go by faster than she can blink. When she and Luke meet again there's so much history between them but time has changed a lot and throughout it all their newfounded friendship turns into something they didn't really saw coming. Two lost souls that seem to gravitate to each other may lead to hopefully a happy ending... or will the past be too much to overcome?...

5.0 out of 5 stars Had high hopes and it delivered!

I had such high hopes for this book, and god did it deliver. Trix’s story follows her new life in Manchester, you learn about her past as well as falling in love with new characters and familiar ones all over again.

There were times I couldn’t put the book down, eager to find out what twists lay on the following pages or just to read about the growing love between two people that both don’t think they necessarily deserve it.

A gorgeous summary to Trix’s story as well as the other books in the series and I’m so sad there isn’t another. Thank you for a gorgeous read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Third base hit a home tun

As a third book in a series most people would see it as a book to tie up loose ends, but this series is so very different. Each book has a different set of main characters taking the lead with the next rather than telling the same story from a new perspective actually carries the lives on, but from a different view point.

Butterfly kisses is beautifully written, hits the soul in countless different ways and gives your inner child a huge helping of hope.

My only sadness is leaving these characters for good because their journey finnaly has them mended and whole

5.0 out of 5 stars I Highly Recommend This Book. It's Beautiful!
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on July 31, 2020
Let me just say I'm not always the biggest fan of YA, I find the teen angst too draining but this series isn't like that. I love how Ms Robinson creates such loveable characters that are both entertaining and relatable. If I had a tribe I would want Trix in it, so funny with her inability to contain her thoughts and a healthy dose of sarcastic wit. I love her.

There are some heavy issues dealt with sensitively and realistically. Even when I knew things were coming it left me winded, with those kick in the guts moments. I spent far to much time holding my breath or sobbing, another beautiful emotional story. I can't recommend it enough!

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant! It's got it all.

I chose five stats because I could not put my phone down until I had finished this book. This series is one of the few young adult series I would recommend as it is so beautifully written, and Heather has that knack of taking me right back to my own teenage/early adult years, remembering that uncertainty, and the questioning or everything, the raw emotion that drives us forward in our youth. In turns tearjerkingly sad, happy, and funny. I'd loved the character of Trix,
and all the other characters she meets on her big adventure in Manchester, and I won't say anymore as don't want to spoil it. But read it! You won't regret it.

Loved it! I love Luke so much and Trix! This a new author to me and it definitely won't be last book of hers that I read. It was emotional, heartbreaking and beautiful. I love this story so much.
