Elle is a perfect rich girl “a one” who has everything going for her. But even though her life seems perfect it also feels so empty. Ryder is from the trailer park “a two” and has a harder time at life with his home life. They fell in love their freshman year of high school in secret until Ryder got shipped off to live with his dad Florida and never came back breaking Elle’s heart that he didn’t even say goodbye. Now two years later he’s back for their senior year and they quickly realize they are inevitable and never stopped loving each other. During their senior year Ryder gets arrested for selling drugs and breaks Elle heart once again when he won’t let her see him like that for the 7 years he’s in prison. Now that he’s out and their best friends are getting married to each other, being around each other is inevitable. This book time jumps back and forth between the now after Ryder gets out of prison and then when he came back for senior year. I loved this book so much!! It was a true meant to be together love story! Their banter and spice and chemistry was just off the charts the whole book and the good girl/ bad boy from the trailer park trope is so romantic. Even though Ryder is so far from being a bad boy, he was so sweet and just a great book boyfriend from the beginning. This book made me feel all the feels that I’ve been missing from books for a while.

Shouting from the rooftops how much I loved this book. If you've been around for awhile you know I'm a fan of Charlotte' writing. But this is one of my favorites I've read so far. This is a story about a boy with little to nothing to offer a girl who quite literally has everything she could ever want.. but all she really wants is him... even after he breaks her heart. Their story essentially spans over 10 years and while they endured so much hurt, it also made so much sense. The pacing of the dual timeline was perfect and had me turning the pages, unable to stop. The writing is so seamless and effortless and is just so enjoyable. The second (+ third) chance romance was angsty without being over the top, it wasn't full of unnecessary drama, everything felt plausible and real and I loved that.. their connection was so strong, and I could feel their tension through my Kindle. I could feel them looking at each other from across the room, felt giddy over their smiles and banter, and I fell in love with them in their little moments, their familiar touches, and comfortable silence.. through paper flowers and tic-tac-toe.. which let me just tell you, I already loved the cover.. but appreciate it even more now. What I wasn't expecting, but definitely experienced, was the tears. I cried multiple times in this book. Happy tears and sad ones too. But everything was handled in such a beautiful way. I truly loved every word of this book. And boy, do I love Ryder James. I need everyone to go read Come Break My Heart Again now 🩷

Their story essentially spans over 10 years and while they endured so much hurt, it also made so much sense.
