Chase Lovett Wants Me Kindle Edition

4.2 out of 5 stars 4,505 ratings

A fluffy, insta-love, laugh out loud, college hockey romance.

Chase Lovett.
Star of my (unrequited) fantasies.
Hottest guy on campus.
Hockey god.

Too bad he has no idea who I am. Literally, I’m so invisible to him that he once sat on me in class.

No thanks to a fire in the dorms, he just became my accidental roommate.
Did I mention the hotel room our university moved us to has only one bed?
Not ideal.

Worse, I accidentally left “My Precious” fantasy fandomunderwear hanging to dry in our shower.
My actual nightmare.

My name is Cammie Lovelock and this might just be the worst, best thing that’s ever happened to me.

Helena Hunting does it again! Absolutely loved this college hockey romance.
Helena Hunting did it again & I am now obsessed with this college hockey series that overlaps her Toronto Terrors universe. This is the perfect balance of spice, heart & banter. The MCs are written as freshmen in college - there's this innocence to them but also a level of growth for both our MCs that made this story much more than all the delicious spice we get. This is a classic popular boy falls for the nerdy girl. Cami is an introvert who has never really fit in - she beats to her own drum in the best ways (hello secret Lord of the Ring spicy fanfic author). She feels invisible, especially in the eyes of her crush, Chase Lovett. Chase is the popular hockey star who everyone wants to be friends with. But when his eyes land on Cami & then they are forced together for a night, he finally gets to know the mystery girl who's been on his mind. Cami is unapologetically herself. She owns her insecurities & faces them - she is a total bad@ss. I wish I was more like Cami at that age. Chase is attracted to everything about Cami - he loves her personality & what everyone else considers "weird", he embraces & adores. He shows her that she's perfect as she is & their relationship gives her the courage to step out of her comfort zone. Chase is such an wonderful MMC. He is such a good guy at heart and tries to be that for Cami - even if he fumbles a bit. I love how he leans on his BFF Brody to know how to be a good boyfriend. Their friendship is one of the highlights for me. Chase & Cami face some classic 18-year-old hurdles (hello mean girls) which gives way to some great character growth moments. But the spice & romance here is a 10 out of 10. These two could not get enough of each other. 🏒 College Hockey Romance 💖 Popular Boy x Nerdy Girl ⚡️ Opposites Attract 🛏️ One Bed Moment 💋 Secret Crush ❣️ Accidental Roommates 🏡 Forced Proximity 🫶 Found Family ✌🏻 Dual POV

This was my first Helena Hunting book, and boy, did I have fun! Including laughing out loud in bed at three in the morning. I needed this book!

Cammie and Chase live in the same dorm in college. She’s definitely noticed him; he’s oblivious to her. She’s a major LOTR fan (a girl after my own heart!); he’s a hockey player. She’s a homebody; he’s the life of the party.

Opposites? Yes, I think we might call them that.
However, Chase is about to be very aware of Cammie. When there’s a fire in their dorm and they’re relocated to a hotel for the night, an administrative error places them in the same room. And, all of a sudden, all the differences between them don’t really matter anymore. I. Loved. It.

After their one night, they were probably supposed to go back to their normal lives. But that’s not possible, and Chase is the one who can’t let go. He introduces her to his friends. He shows her that they’re more than that one night they spent together.
And while Cammie is wary of all of it, he’s about to prove to her that opposites do attract and that he really does want her.

I loved the way he fell for her. I don’t think he realized he was all in until he was.
It was funny and sweet and swoony and heartwarming and I want to live inside its pages whenever I’m having a bad day.

If that’s the case for you, pick up this book. Let Cammie and Chase help you through it. Hopefully, you’ll feel the way I did when I was done—like something was right with the world.

ARC Review: I want Chase Lovett! This is the feel-good book to start 2025 with! Remembering back to your university days, living in the co-ed dormitories, dealing with the all the different groups and trying to find out where you fit in. And on top of that, having a huge crush on the popular jock! But what happens when that popular jock starts to notice you because you ARE different from all the other girls that hang around the hockey players.
First year in university, being an introvert, and getting out from the shadow of a popular older sister (Essie Lovelock, best friend of Rix Madden in the Toronto Terror series). Then, thanks to your parents for giving you an androgenous name, Cameron aka Cammie, you are paired up with your crush when the fire alarm is set off and the dorms are water-logged for the night. Cammie is an English major that writes LOTR fanfic (seriously need to look into this IRL!).
What do you do? You take your chance, find your voice, and talk to your crush! Chase then realizes that he is rooming with his mystery girl that has been eluding him every time he sees her! The attraction is immediate for both and reading their relationship unfold in a backward way is the best! I love how Chase is "old fashioned" and gentlemanly with Cammie. Not wanting to rush her and also get to know her at the same time. He wants her to know his friends, she already knows Brody Stiles (youngest brother of Tristan Stiles in "If You Hate Me") that is Chase's dorm roommate. But being an introvert and meeting the popular university hockey team is very intimidating! It takes a few tries for Cammie to feel comfortable around them and also to ignore the "puck bunnies" that try and hang around them as well. With the help of her friends, Tally Vander Zee, also included in the "badass babe brigade" from the Toronto Terror series, Cammie is in good hands. Not knowing that Tally know Essie, comes as a big help when all is connected with siblings and friends of friends! Yes, it's a small world! It brings all full circle when it comes together at the end of their first year and see their relationship flourish! I can't wait to read the next installation in this series!

Cameron Lovelock is a girl and goes by the name of Cammie and has a crush on hockey God Chase Lovett. She doesn't think she'd ever have a chance with him but when they are accidentally made roommates that all changes. Chase has spotted Cammie a few times on campus and has liked what he's seen. Becoming roommates for the night gives them both the opportunity to learn more about the other. Their chemistry is sizzling and the more time they spend together, the deeper they fall for each other.
Will their relationship become deeper or will the outside world intrude and strengthen apart?
I love Helena's work. Her characters are fun, strong and made for each other! The humour makes you giggle and the sexy scenes are on fire!! Can't wait for the next book!

I loved this book and I can only recommend it!!
I’m a huge fan of Helena hunting, I love her writing and her stories (+ I love hockey which is pretty important haha).
This book is a standalone that takes place in the same universe as the Toronto terror. And it’s the story between Cammie (Essie’s little sister) and Chase.

    Tropes:
    💗 only one bed
    💗opposites attract
    💗accidental roommates
    💗virgin heroine
    💗 secret crush
    💗he’s OBSESSED WITH HER
    💗LOTR fanfic queen

I love seeing the relationship between Cammie and chase grow and I loved that we get to see new mmc outside of the Toronto terror’s members.
I hope the next book in this series will be about Brody !

(++ I loves the scenes with the LOTR fanfic, it was kinda unexpected and really funny 😄 )

Anyway read this book, you’ll love it !!

I’m a bit obsessed with this book! I’m pretty obsessed with all of Helena Hunting’s books but this one heals a part of me. I’m a nerdy girl and it reminds me of my own time of finding my place and my people in university. This story is a beautiful example of first loves and the awkwardness of finding who you are as a young adult.

I love how everyone is interconnected and we are getting to see more stories. I really hope this is the start of a new series where we get to see Tally’s story because I’ve been dying for that and all the siblings stories.

Chase is only a freshman but already Mr. Popular and a hockey god. It’s not just everyone in residence who knows who he is, he’s recognized everywhere he goes. None of this goes to who head though and he is a genuinely nice guy even though he is a bit clueless about things outside of his own personal experience. Thankfully he has some great friends to help guide him and educate him.

Cammie is a nerdy, introverted but badass babe. She writes awesome LOTR fanfic, has a black belt, and is unapologetically herself. She has always felt stuck in her older sister’s shadow but is trying to find her place as someone other than just “Essie’s sister” now that she is on her own in university. She has a huge crush on chase but he doesn’t know she exists even though he lives only 3 doors down from her.

Chase sees her one day in class and finds her beautiful but he can’t seem to find her anywhere. Cue a fire in the dorm causing them all to be put up in a hotel and an error placing Chase and Cammie as roommates and he’s finally found his mystery girl. Sparks fly and the rest is history.

    Tropes:

    College hockey
    Forced proximity
