About the Author

TJ Clark is a New York-based actor and writer with a BFA in theater from Syracuse University. He has starred in a number of incredible stage productions, working with The Araca Group, Nose Dive, The Vampire Cowboys, The Electric Pear, and many other wonderful creators. He is the writer/creator of the award-winning web series So SOHA and the award-winning short film We Remember. This book was really hot. Why didn’t we have guys like this when I was in high school? I truly enjoyed this book. I love the “girl gang” relationship between Sloane, Serafina, and Aurora. They are young but strong and independent. These girls are a true definition of what women empowerment should be. They accept and support each other for who they are while encouraging one another to take chances. Sloane was different. She was a vigilante disguised in innocence and sweetness, but she was a master with her talents. I loved her. Lennox was an angry prince with an agenda for vengeance. The two of them were connected way before they actually met as Sloane’s father was responsible for exposing Lennox’s father’s secrets and corruption. I loved these two together. They had amazing chemistry. This is one of those books that shows the effects of the choices of those who are supposed to be protecting you. The entire Midnight Dynasty World is based on family, choices and consequences. As I read more books in this world, I have realized that regardless of what family they come from; regardless of age, sex, and social class, the main characters in each all share a major commonality- LOYALTY, but what is loyalty when it is based on manipulation, corruption and lies?

    I am all over these Hell Fire boys! I can not get enough of them! As soon as I finish with one.... I need to move on to the next! Now this story got to me quite a bit because Sloane is a daddy's girl, with her mom dying when she was fairly young, her dad has been the only family she has. And Lennox is always so worried about people thinking he is just like his father, whom he does not want to be anything like! Sloane's 2 worlds collide when she finally admits to herself that she was falling for Lennox. And that where the angst comes to a head! I was having to take some super deep breaths and some of the things that happened totally made my eyes get that stinging feeling! These books have totally captivated my attention and I am ready to move on to the next one! I need more Hell Fire and I need more Pembrooke Prep! Loves this girl gang! They are so freaking fiercely protective of each other and I am here for it! Absolutely recommend this book to all who love these types of books! It is everything you look for in a YA/NA Bully Romance!

    I loved Lennox Lincoln-Ward and his filthy ways. There was something so ungodly hot 🥵 about his and Sloane’s relationship. There is the enemies to lovers theme I can’t get enough of but Sloane is a baddass and knew how to put the Prince in his place. I mean these two have a tryst on the lawn while she’s choking him with her forearm FFS and it only gets hotter from there. For a high school romance, it was obscenely filthy and I couldn’t get enough.

    I liked how we got more info about the Hellfire Club in this book compared to Wicked Idol and because of that, we get more insight into the other men and what their backstories are. The only thing keeping me from giving this the 5 stars it deserves is we are told all the callous things Lennox has done to Sloane over the years but we are not shown it. I would have liked to experience parts of it because Sloane didn’t sit back and let Lennox bully her, she got revenge and I would have really enjoyed reading the tit for tat. However, that’s not enough of a reason for me to rate this 4 stars so I rounded up. I really, really enjoyed this book and all Lennox’s pet names for “his vicious sweetheart”. There’s also a bonus epilogue from this author’s website that made me swoon. 💗

    What a complete badass Sloan is! I adore her!
    I wasn’t at all a fan of Lennox at first, and had very mixed feelings about him for much of the book, but he definitely grew on me. Especially when he started to change & then started to demonstrate some restraint in an effort to show that he cared about her.
    There were definitely a few loose ties. Especially with the assailant. Hopefully that’ll be important in a future book? Otherwise it seems completely pointless.

    I LOVE Sloane so much - this young woman is a kick-butt spy in the making. She can defend herself, she’s smart, she helps others, yet she is so innocent.
    Lennox about killed me - this young man started out so cruel and turned into such a love-struck fool. He and his family was out thru Hell thanks to his dad, but this young man still stood up against the waves to take care of his own.
    When these two collide, it’s like watching two lions fight for dominance. I really enjoyed the push and pull between these two, it built the story even more. My heart strings were pulled tight and I found myself hoping for the happiest outcome for these two.
    The build up, the secrets, the truths - EVERYTHING was plotted out perfectly by this ultra talented duo of authors, I loved it all and I am getting ready to dive into Owen’s story.

    Lennox and his twin sister Aurora both attend Pembroke Prep. They are Royalty and have known the good life, but also have their own family struggles. The struggles have been kept close so that others wouldn’t be aware of them, except Sloane has made it her mission to find them out. She may be close friends with Aurora but this is personal and she needs answers. What Sloane doesn’t know is that Lennox hates her because he believes her dad is the reason for the fall of his family.

    Sloane never understood why when she started at Pembroke Prep 4 years ago and was introduced to Lennox, he would make it his mission to make things difficult for her. He would bully her, follow her and just be outright rude. As these two spend more time together, they find that things are not like either had assumed. There is a mystery to be solved and as the pieces fall into place, the desire these two have for each other finally comes through. But is that enough to get through what they find out?

    Seriously, I thought the first book would be hard to top off, but this one was even better. I loved the different unique names given to the characters. Not the usual "Cole, Hunter or Blaze etc"

    I also love how descriptive it is. The love scenes are so 🔥 and the story seems to be plausible. Not so far-fetched that you can imagine happening in real life. Can't wait to read the others!
