    The very first kindle book I purchased was written by Sandi Lynn, needless to say I was hooked. I have NEVER read a book from this author I didn't like. Zoey and Carter's story is no exception, it's heartbreaking, inspirational, and spiritual. Carter has everything a man could want he is handsome, healthy and rich. But because of a tragic accident 5 years ago , he is still sad dark sole. Money can't save his sister (Nora)for terminal brain cancer he hires a live in hospice nurse (Zoey) for his sister. Zoey has a gift as hospice nurse and oves her job, she loves taking care of Nora but dealing with Carter is emotional hell for her . The problem is both Carter and Zoey are attracted to each other but are fighting it. After Nora dies (as her last request) she sends her brother and Zoey on a road trip to spread her ashes in 4 different states . They fight through out the trip and Zoey leaves Carter to spread his sister's ashes by himself . The time without Zoey opens his heart, mind and sole. He returns to New York and apologizes and opens his heart to Zoey. They become a couple as they grow closer they heal each other and create a family of their own. A must read book, Sandi Lynn has another best seller.

    The cover caught my eye right off! The story was by far more interesting than what I was expecting. The spiritual side was so touching, that I even teared up a few times. The intimate parts , although well done, came across as too soon or too fast for my taste. I would have preferred to see a longer version of the storyline that brought these 2 closer not quite as quickly. Highly Recommended.

    Carter Grayson is a billionaire and runs his own company. He has a younger sister Nora who is terminally ill with cancer of the brain. One day while in Starbucks Carter is distributed by two girls laughing and tells them to be quiet and have respect for other people but they just laughed.

    Zoey Benson is a care nurse and has a gift towards people who are dying. Zoey is holding a secret that only a few people know. When Zoey was five years old she lost her parents but her path crossed with a firefighter called Scott and he brought her to the hospital the doctor on shift that night was John and they both knew her story.

    Twenty years later Zoey was adopted by a gay couple witch was John an Scott. As Zoey was out of work Carter's business partner gave him a number for a carer for his sister.

    Little did he know that it was the same person he told off in Starbucks. Carter was very abrupt when he first met Zoey. He was a cold hearted,always in a bad mood, always drank to kill the pain he was suffering.

    Zoey took no crap from Carter. In a few short weeks Nora's health went downhill very quick. Nora made her will with some instructions after she was gone.
    Carter and Zoey went on a road trip as per Nora's wishes as she was cremated she got them to spread her ashes in certain places. Carter felt a connection between him and Zoey but couldn't think where. No matter what they said to each other it involved breaking of hearts with harsh words.

    I would love to tell more of the book but I don't want to ruin for anyone wanting to read it. Sandi h as outdone herself again with her magnificent stories.

    Zoey is an amazing young woman with an incredible past. She is 25 years old and works as a hospice nurse. She meets Carter after a difficult run in with him at Starbucks. Now he needs her skills for his sister Nora who is dying from brain cancer. Nora sees something special in Zoey and will not let her Grump of a brother fire her.

    Zoey is comfortable enough to let Nora know her truth, and they work together during this difficult time with hopes of removing the darkness from within Carter's heart.

    Carter lost both parents, as well as his wife Angelique who was pregnant when she passed, and now his sister. He is so angry. He believes there cannot be a God who would do all of this to him. So all he has now is anger and hurt. But there is something light around Zoey and he hates it.

    This book is a little different to the chick lit books I usually read. Zoey can talk to the ghosts of dead people. It reminded me a little of "Ghost Whisperer". If that is not a problem for you, you will love this book. Carter is in such a dark place that you will be frustrated with him but in the end the frustration will be worth it. It is a beautiful story.
    It was my first Sandi Lynn book and I already ordered more of her books.

Zoey a hospice nurse who has a speciality is hired to look after Carter’s terminally ill sister Nora. On her death events occur and the story unfolds. Carter is a brute, bully and arrogant, but he has a past. One that has resulted in is personality. If your looking for an easy non challenging read then this is for you. Enjoyable, without to many characters or need for concentration. Hence 4 stars. I have read all of this author’s novels, and although good I feel it is not one of her shining ones, but it may be a total winner for others.
