Falling for his roommate was never part of the plan… but neither was opening the door to his skater-boy crush.

Max Thompson is desperate. Not only does he need a roommate, but he’s crushing hard on a bad-boy skateboarder. When nerdy Max opens his door expecting another weirdo looking to rent his room, the sexy-as-sin skater is staring back at him.

Tanner Donahue is escaping a broken heart. After a disastrous hookup with his current roommate, he’s searching for a new home. When Max’s door opens, the stunning man before him takes Tanner’s breath away.

Max stumbles all over himself enticing Tanner to move in. Wary of falling for a roommate again, Tanner battles his overwhelming desire for Max. But when Tanner’s life implodes and Max stands firmly by him, will Tanner finally offer Max his heart?

Christie Gordon is the author of steamy, heartfelt gay romance novels that explore the emotional journey of men discovering themselves and finding love. It all started when she stumbled upon MM fanfiction by accident—and let's just say, it was love at first read. Inspired by the genre's mix of passion and complexity, Christie transitioned from reading about men in love to writing her own stories. After taking fiction writing classes at a local community college, she published her first MM romance novel in 2009 with a small press, and she’s never looked back.

When she’s not writing, Christie watches boys-love dramas, creates digital art, or is serenaded by her snoring one-eyed rescue pug. A graduate of both Electrical Engineering (BS) and Business Administration (MBA), she spends her "day job" navigating the high-tech world, but her heart belongs to the characters who live in her books. Christie currently resides in the Phoenix metro area, though she’s also lived in California’s Bay Area and Minnesota (which probably explains her deep love of pumpkin spiced latte coffees and hockey).

She’s also the proud mother of two young-adult sons who provide plenty of material for stories—usually in the form of chaotic shenanigans. But no matter what, Christie’s always up for a new adventure, whether it's on the page or in the real world.

I've read the 2nd and 3rd Arizon series already and went back to Mesa Boys just now. Of course this book was just as good as the band and hockey books! Can't wait to binge the rest of the series!

Leaving one relationship to another doesn't seem to work to well.... But in the space of three dates they know its for the rest of there life

Cute, sweet story...at times maybe a little too sweet. And there’s the instalove aspect; a longer developing relationship is more appealing and realistic to me. Also, the author completely overused the words “snickered” and “sniggered”...wish I had a dollar for every time either was used.

    Roommates to Lovers
    – Close Proximity
    – Opposites Attract
    – Coming Out
    – Love Triangle

I enjoyed this sweet & low angst story of Max & Tanner! Max eats his lunch daily at a skatepark while watching a long-haired mystery boy. He's too scared to approach him. Tanner likes to spend his time at the skate park. He's noticed a mystery guy watching him & his friends skate. Tanner needs a start over after falling for his coworker/roommate. Fate happens when Max puts out an ad for a roommate, and Tanner shows up. They can't deny or hide the chemistry between them!

“I’m falling for you, Tanner. You should know that. I’m falling hard.” Tanner nodded, barely able to think. “I-I am, too. For you.”

Enjoyed this whole series. Finding each other and yourself and falling in love. Max has been eyeing Tanner for a while in secret and he's too shy to do anything about it. Life unraveling for both Tanner and Max leads them together in an encounter possibly brought about by fate. As they navigate the perils of their own lives it brings them closer and closer together.

One thing I loved about both series (and its spin off RockU and most of this author's books) is if they have an issue they ask for help from friends and/or family and then talk about it. They work together, talk with each other, and work it out. One or both don't just go all unhinged for the book and not talk to the other one to see what's going on or seek the truth, which I suppose is a trope that annoys me. They do what they should and love each other through it all working through everything. Lots of love, deep friendships, great

I'm all for an opposites attract situation and a forced proximity trope that's got a good amount of spice to it and this book delivered on that. The characters were engaging, the steam was adequate, the drama was reasonable, and the ending was sweet so overall this was a good book and worth the time. What held me back from a higher rating was the stilted writing at times. I couldn't get into the pacing or the level of detail that was often far too present and sometimes not enough. The flow felt off, just off enough to take me out of the storytelling a few too many times. This was my first from this author and because the outcome of the story and men were good I'd give them another read at some point in the future.

MM, Roommates to Lovers, Opposites Attract, Contemporary, Romance. An easy to read page-turner with great characters, a fast paced story with lots of heat, emotion, angst and drama but best of all a guaranteed HEA. Thoroughly enjoyed reading their story and watching their relationship evolve.

Ok first off, Stan the guinea pig is the best! This is a really sweet romance that is also steamy and has very real characters. A drop of angst and some side characters that really grow make this a very enjoyable read.

I liked the storyline and the characters although some of them behaved younger than expected for their age. I am not a fan of instalove but the romantic side of the story helped to counteract this a bit. Max was my favourite character - so patient, sweet and caring. I would have liked the relationship between Max and Tanner to develop more slowly and fully as it felt a bit shallow. A little less sex and more story would have been great.
