Verona (V. L.) Jones is a paranormal enthusiast and a horror writer. She grew up in a haunted house in Washington state, which fueled her passion for the supernatural and monsters. Verona now lives in Tucson, Arizona, using it as her home base to explore haunted sites with a rich history.

Her explorations fuel her imagination, and she writes horror stories that blend elements of urban legends, cryptids, and folklore. Verona is particularly drawn to cryptids, such as Bigfoot, the Ozark Howler, the black dog, and the Mothman, to name a few. Verona also loves the paranormal and the supernatural worlds. As her schedule permits, she plots the next trip to a paranormal hotspot.

Verona is the author of Spirit Within and Monsters Are Real. She also has seven short stories published; Devil’s Highway, published in Elements of Horror: Fire by Red Cape Publishing; Evil Rides Storms, published in Twisted Nightmares; the Package, published in 'V is for Voodoo' by Red Cape Publishing, Devil's Highway, published in The Haunted Zone by Tundra Swan Publishing, Nature's Revenge in Years of the Tarot: Wands, by Eerie River Publishing, Karma is a Bitch, published in 'T is for Tarot' by Red Cape Publishing, and Lady of Gold published in Dragon Legends by Dragon Soul Publishing.

Verona has another short story, "Lady of Gold," which will be published in "Dragon Legends," a book published by Dragon Soul Publishing and scheduled for release in January 2025.

Verona is a proud member of the Horror Writers Association (HWA) and the Arizona Chapter of the Horror Writers Association.
