    I really loved this book. It's my first time reading anything in the omega else. The characters were sweet and I liked their relationship. I felt they had depth and that the author spent time fleshing out their previous trauma and finding some resolution with therapy. I will read more.

    I’ve totally just procrastinated away an hour on a very busy day because I couldn’t put this piece of Vinni George brain-candy down. Amazing! I think Matteo & Charlie may be my favorite pairing in this universe yet (though you could probably argue me into every other option). I love the world building in this universe & the intense kindness. I want more of that in my world. Part of me is a little sad that there was no confrontation with Matteo’s father, but hey, maybe that drama would just come out as contrived. As it was this book was spectacular & I could not recommend it enough!

    I LOVED THIS ONE! I don't know, this might be my favorite of the series now.

    I adored sweet Charlie and grumpy Matteo - and how each of them had so much more in their pasts than we knew about going into this story, Matteo especially. My heart broke for Matteo with everything he endured growing up. I especially loved how patient and caring Charlie was with him, letting him set the pace with what he was comfortable with.

    I also loved that we got to see every couple from the previous stories in this. I love how they're all connected through knowing people or family. I also love that this story, as with previous books, tends to buck the stereotypical norms of alpha and omega actions and attitudes.

    I highly recommend this series if you like fated mates, high heat, mpreg, found family, different animal shifters (this one is a manatee and panther!), and I'm SO SO GLAD that Vinni announced there will be a spin-off series! Her mpreg shifter world is so much fun and I'm so glad we're going to get more.

    Charlie and the Panther by Vinni George is the 4th book in her Land and Sea series. You might want to read the others first as there are reoccurring characters and to understand the paranormal would she has created. Charlie Marsh currently lives in Key West where he owns a tour boat business. He was previously in the Navy but had an accident that caused him to be discharged. He is an alpha manatee shifter and has a very sunny disposition and always wants to help people out. Matteo Garras is an omega panther shifter and former Army Ranger who has returned to his claw at Key West. He has a huge chip on his shoulder from always having to prove that he can be strong and do anything and to try to get his father’s approval after what he did to him when he found out he was an omega. Charlie has noticed him at the Ice House bar and is intrigued by the surly man hiding in the corner. He approaches him and even though Matteo does his best to get him to leave him alone they strike up a conversation. This leads to meeting again and they start getting to know each other. Both men feel a spark of attraction that only grows, but Matteo keeps Charlie at arm’s length and does his best to not let him close. However, Charlie feels something for him and doesn’t give up, finally asking him to watch a move at his house. When he doesn’t show up Charlie decides to look for him and is very glad he did because Matteo has gone into heat and is really suffering and Charlie does what he always does for others who are hurting, he helps them out, taking care of him until it passes. By this time the attraction has become so great that it leads to some very hot love scenes and then Charlie is hopeful that they can continue their relationship. But Matteo pushes him away again and this leads to some dire consequences for him. When Charlie finds out he rushes back and that is when Matteo realizes he can no longer fight their attraction as they both realize they are mates and have bonded. Matteo finally knows Charlie is the only one for him and leaves the claw to be with him as they forge ahead and find love together as well as have a wonderful surprise that enriches their lives. I really enjoyed this story, as I have the others in the series. Charlie and Matteo are complete opposites in their temperaments yet Charlie is able to win Matteo over, even though he fights him every step of the way. Charlie is caring and wants only the best for Matteo and Matteo slowly comes around and realizes he can’t live without him. Both men also have scars they have to overcome in order to be together. Charlie’s friends become the found family Matteo has always wanted and it is fun to see them and their families return and to see what they have been up to. Ms. George creates an interesting paranormal world with a land shifter and a sea shifter coming together to form a family. I also like how the babies they create have characteristics of both parents. I highly recommend this story, especially if you like opposites attract, Alpha/Omega shifter stories with men who go through a lot to discover they are fated mates and find the love they deserve.

    Charlie and the Panther is the fourth book in the Land and Sea series by Vinni George. Charlie Marsh has set his sights on a surly panther he’s been seeing at his local bar. Matteo Garras has reluctantly returned to Key West and is just trying to keep his head down. As Charlie gets a glimpse behind the wall that Matteo hides behind he knows there is something very special about him, he just needs to convince Matteo he’s worth the risk. But Matteo’s past casts a very large shadow and proves difficult for Charlie to overcome. But fate has something in mind for these two if they’re willing to take the chance.

    Talk about opposites attract with this pairing. Charlie is bright and warm while Matteo is all snark and struggles. I appreciated that Charlie didn’t give up on Matteo when the going got tough. Matteo had so much baggage that anyone would have been hesitant to jump into a relationship. The two are so well suited and I loved seeing them get to know each other outside of the draw of their physical attraction.

    The Land and Sea series has been so much fun from the start that to see its end is bittersweet. This book was a great way to end with an opposite attracts couple who you want to see happy from their first interaction. With so many great cameos and connections to the other couples both Matteo and Charlie find support among friends who are really more like family.

    4 stars for Charlie and Matteo allowing fate to guide them towards forever.

    4.25/5 Charlie and Matteo both have plenty of scars, physical and otherwise, and have responded to it in opposite ways, with Charlie being the epitome of sunshine, and Matteo as grumpy as can be. I liked how Charlie was stubborn about getting to know Matteo without it feeling overbearing or creepy; he was really good about checking in with Matteo and paying attention to his behaviour and his body language, not just what he was saying.

    Matteo’s father made me incredibly angry, and I can’t quite decide if it was a little unrealistic or just depressing that Matteo was letting him rule so much of his life even at 43 (and when they’ve been nowhere near one another for what I think is decades—but he definitely went through a serious trauma at a young and impressionable age). I was definitely relieved that Charlie found him and set about to show him that he was a worthwhile person who had the right to be happy.

    I liked how genuinely kind Charlie was, how he was determined but also respectful of Matteo’s wishes. I loved Matteo gaining confident in his true calling. I liked the way this pregnancy differed from the previous books and how we still got to spend a bit of time with all our favourite couples. This is definitely the best found family!

    Looking forward to the spin-off series as well as ORCA!
