Chase Our Forever: A Small Town Single Dad Romance (Sutten Mountain) Kindle Edition

4.4 out of 5 stars 3,770 ratings

Dean Livingston needs a new live-in nanny, and I need a safe place to stay.

I’d been running from my past when I stumbled into the small town of Sutten Mountain, tired and alone.

That’s where I met a broken single dad and his adorable daughter.

Dean has more money than he could ever spend but couldn’t keep a nanny. After firing every eligible candidate in town, he was desperate for help.

So when his daughter fell in love with me after one brief meeting, I instantly became perfect for the job.

The arrangement was always meant to be temporary, but seeing Dean start to heal and open up makes me want to stay. Seeing how happy his daughter is makes me feel like I belong here.

Now, I’m slowly falling for the town of Sutten—and my boss.

I know better than to open myself back up and to give my heart to a man who swore he’d never love again.

But maybe with enough time, we can stop fighting our feelings long enough to fight for the family we’ve created. Maybe we can run toward each other for once and chase our forever.

Chase Our Forever is a small town, single dad, billionaire, age gap romance releasing on October 10th. This will be the third book set in the fictional town of Sutten Mountain. It is a complete standalone.

The perfect ending to a beautiful series

The perfect ending to a beautiful series
“I can love you enough for the both of us until you’re ready to love again.” WOW😭😭 First and first most I absolutely adore this series, like truly Sutten Mountain holds a little piece of my heart and I am soo thankful that this is how the series wrapped up (even though I wish it never had to end). This book follows single dad, Dean who is a local in Sutten Mountain and Liv, who’s just trying to figure her next steps in life out. Kat Singleton has a way of writing that just sucks me in life no other, truly is able to paint a picture of the town so perfectly and makes the characters seem soo real!! I lived Liv from the very beginning, she was so sweet and open about not knowing what direction she wanted her life to go but was brave enough to take the leap to start over anywhere. If you’ve read this series at all you would know Dean Livingston is Sutten Mountains hot single dad, who’s also a bittt grump- to be fair though Deans story is heartbreaking and had me crying at the prologue. He had his reasons to be closed off and in my opinion they were justifiable. I honestly loved watching Dean open up and slowly start to accept love and happiness into his life, it was truly beautiful. I loved how many people in the town were genuinely in his corner supporting him, I also just loved Sutten Mountains other couples so I always love a good on page appearance from them. The book starts with Dean in search for a nanny when he runs into Liv, who’s just blowing through town on her roadtrip with no destination and just so happens to hit it right off with Clara, Dean’s daughter. Eager to escape her past and quickly finding herself enjoying Sutten Mountain and the people, Liv decides to accept the job of Clara’s nanny. This is definitely the most tender and heartfelt single dad x nanny book I’ve ever read. Watching both Liv and Dean learn how to love again, and properly, learning how to feel stable and able to rely of others- trusting that they care, it was truly beautiful. It is rareeee that any book as me teary up but this one got me. Also absolutely have to mention the addition of Clara and her personality throughout the book- so good. Her spunky and sass shined through and I love when children characters are able to actually have a role in the story and Clara definitely felt like she did in this book. Overall, I truly don’t think any romance book will ever top Rewrite Our Story for me so I can’t say this is a top Kat Singleton book but I don’t think I could have wished for a better ending to a series that I love so much. I will also recommend Sutten Mountain and this book just seals the deal for me!

The story was good, I wish it had a little more depth to it. My favorite in the series is still the first book. I really liked Dean’s character and I’m surprised he was less grumpy than I thought he was going to be. Overall this series is good and definitely worth the read! 💖

This book was everything I could have asked for and more. I have loved the entire Sutton Mountain universe and as much as it pains me to say goodbye, I can say it ends on such a high note with Dean and Liv’s story. This was a gorgeous small town, single dad romance that will give you all the feels and end with a perfect HEA.

Dean is a single dad going through the motions of life as he raises his daughter. He is grumpy, a bit closed off and definitely not looking to open his heart up to anything that could hurt him or his daughter. What he really needs is a reliable live in Nanny. Liv is a young woman who left her painful past to find somewhere she can start a new life and beginning. Her decision to stop off in Sutten changes everything. Before she knows it, she has a new job, a tiny new bestie and a place to call home.

This story gutted me in so many good ways. The way my heart ached for Dean and his journey to rediscovering happiness tore me up. I cried multiple times throughout this book. As a mom, a wife and someone who has experienced loss this story really spoke to my soul. It was great watching how Liv crept into his heart and how he also healed parts of hers that was missing. Liv didn’t have an easy life growing up and she had to learn that good people are out there and it’s ok to trust someone. Their love starts gradually, but steadily builds off of trust, friendship and respect. Once it gets going though, boy does it get hot and passionate. I completely fell in love with Dean and Liv and couldn’t be happier with the HEA these two rightly deserve. My heart is so happy and I want to thank Kat for writing such a beautiful story.

    - small town
    - single dad
    - nanny
    - rich MMC
    - autumn/winter vibes
    - “Grumpy”/sunshine

Spice: low but present. There are like 2-3 intimate scenes that are written in detail but they’re not really THAT graphic and are more uh… intimate than spicy. I’m not sure how else to phrase it haha

Overall I did enjoy this book, it was a cute read. The MMC is “grumpy” but that grumpiness doesn’t really last because it’s more so just not feeling like he deserves happiness and he isn’t really grumpy with those he is close with. The 3 year old sometimes seemed to act/talk closer to a 5/6 year old and there were a few super cheesy moments, but it’s a good book to just melt into and not think too hard.

This was a nice love after loss story! I've read a lot of books with the same kind of story line so am kind of an expert: if there are experts in the field of escapist romance single rich dad meets down on their luck wanderer book reading lol. The book is well written without a bunch of distracting grammar errors or missing words. The MC doesn't take a crazy long time to come around and his hold up is more about not wanting to open himself up to the hurt of loss instead of the premis of some stories where they think it'll be a betrayal of their first love, which I'm never crazy about in a story as it makes the new love start off with a "less than" feel. The daughter is cute with just the right amount of sass! Definitely lovable, believable, and well written for her age (unlike some I've read where the author tries to make the child too precocious and knowing which comes off as fake and forced). The FC is sweet but real, loving but not a pushover. She doesn't come from money and is willing to provide for herself, but doesn't get so caught up in her pride over money that she can't accept gifts, and his financial status vs hers isn't brought up as a big deal or barrier for either of them. Their dialog flows really well and isn't forced or cringe. The love scenes are spicy but not crude, and their physical attractions don't dominate the story and are a byproduct of their feelings and relationship, not the reason for it like some insta-lust-all-they-think-about stories (not hating on those stories, I like them fine on occasion, just saying this isn't that and is more of a romance than lust-mance). This was the first book by this author that I've read, i skipped to this one as i liked the excerpt from a FB add, but I'll definitely be reading more of her work and going back to read the other books in the series. It genuinely earned the 5 stars I give out sparingly!

I just want to start this review by saying I love Sutton Mountain. This series will always hold a special place in my heart.
Overall, this book was a nice easy simple read that I thoroughly enjoyed. This book was a little bit different format than the other books in the series and the Sister series. And I’ll say I really enjoyed this light changes.
I think my favorite thing about this book is seeing all the characters that we knew in love from the first two books, especially book 2 make consistent reappearance’s.
My my favorite couple in the series will always be Pippa and Camden, but this couple Liv and dean come in a close second. I really enjoyed watching their working relationship than friendship and relationship. Grow organically. You absolutely were rooting for them the whole time.
I absolutely appreciated how the author approached some hard topics that were addressed in these books.
Overall, I adored this book. I am super sad to see the series end. But I am very hopeful that we’ll get some re-appearances in the next upcoming series this year.

I was really excited to read this book, first because the previous one is on my favorites list, and second, because I love Kat Singleton's writing. But I have to admit, I had mixed feelings about this one.

In this book, we finally get to understand everything Dean feels and how the events of the past affected him. I loved seeing him open up to Liv. Watching him find comfort in her was so heartwarming, and Liv is such a likable character. I loved every scene with her and Clara.

Even though I really liked Liv and Dean together, I felt the beginning of the book was a bit rushed, which made it take me a little longer to really get into the story. But once I did, I fell in love with the characters. It’s not my favorite, but it’s still a good book, and as for me thinking it was rushed, that’s just my opinion—other readers might not feel the same.

    Loved Dean and Liv's story.

Deans back story was so sad and I choked up alot through it. Beautifully written, the emotions that came through from the characters felt so real at times.

Although parts of it were predictable especially closer to the end I still thoroughly enjoyed reading their journey and I'm so glad they got their perfect HEA.

🤍 Chase Our Forever by Kat Singleton 🤎
Book 3 in the Sutton Mountain series

    - Small town
    - Single dad
    - Nanny
    - Grumpy x Sunshine

✨ She’s my sunshine on a cloudy day, and I hadn’t realized how much I missed the sunshine. How much I really needed it... until her.

    Review 📖:
Liv is escaping from her bad past when she ends up in the small town of Sutton Mountain, then one thing leads to another and she ends up being a nanny for Dean’s three-year-old daughter. Dean lost his wife unexpectedly when his daughter was a newborn so over the past few years he’s been overcome with grief and raising his child. I was completely consumed by this book it’s such a beautiful journey of opening up, healing and letting love back into your life. One of the things I loved most about it was there was no miscommunication at all between Liv and Dean they are both very open and honest about their feelings and thoughts, it was so refreshing and made me adore them even more. You could cut the tension between them with a knife! It was so angsty, the steamy scenes were steaming hot. Dean’s daughter, Clara is so adorable, the dynamic between all three of them was so perfect! Chase our forever is definitely my favourite in the series (so far 😉) I adore this series so much.

    Kat does it again!

Chase Our Forever rounded out the Sutten Mountain series perfectly.

Like most of Kat's books, we had emotion, laughter, hot spice and so much more. This story was truly sweet and I loved seeing these two characters find each other in the most unlikely of circumstances.

Dean is trying to navigate loss and being a single father, while Liv is trying to navigate and plan a new life far away from her past. By chance they meet and by an even bigger chance Liv starts being Dean's daughters Nanny. Liv isn't planning on staying forever but as we know, life likes to throw curve balls our way.

I enjoyed this story and found it easy to read. It never felt like a slow burn because it was like their feelings for each other were instant and I enjoyed that it didn't beat around the bush for too long.

I can't wait to see what Kat has planned next!
