    For such a quick read, Aaliyah Rose does an amazing job of neatly packing in everything you'd want to find within a romance novel. There's chemistry, action, backstory and even an epilogue -- and I was able to read it all within a few hours during some rare free time.

    Melanie's past catching up to her and Joseph, the lovable Goliath, wanting to fix it all for her is a trope I'll never tire of. My only complaint was that although her passport bore her new alias, Bianca, she still introduced herself as Melanie...even though she was on the run. If it were me, the name Bianca and a new appearance would've been my go-to in trying to disappear and blend in with the locals.

    But, Rose ultimately wins in gaining the reader's attention with both her character development, as well as the will-they-won't-they tug of war between Melanie and Joseph (and their hormones....) Even better, this author nails her descriptions of both characters and scene setting. I could definitely picture what these two main characters looked like, as well as where we were on Magnetic Island.
    Other than a few kinks in Melanie's terrible, awful plan of running from her past, this book deserves 4/5 stars. You won't be let down by "My Commando Angel" -- so make sure to give it a try today!

    Melanie barely survives when the boat she is in with her family has engine and radio issues. They are rescues by the Coast Guard. Joe is part of the Coast Guard that rescues Melanie and her family. Melanie meets Joe again at a bar. They don't recognize each other as she was burnt like a lobster and unconscious. Great story with a strong male who cares about the environment and strong female who is in hiding.

    Drama, mystery and suspense throughout this book! A page-turner for sure. We get to know the characters well right from the start.
    The scenes are well developed and easy to picture. I would recommend this book to all.

    Beautiful story about 2 beautiful souls. You can feel the love coming off the pages. She has a problem that she's doesn't think he can help with and wants to run to save him. He gains her trust and proves that he has the answer to her problems.

    There was nothing that I disliked in the book. I liked how they didn't know each other but did in a way though out the book. She had no idea what his real job was she just knew about his volunteer works.

    I really liked the combination of military action and romance. And, I was introduced to the Australian Coast Guard Service by the setting. I really like military stories, but I had never thought about Australia's set up (except from WWII), and it was really enjoyable to learn a little about that country's fantastic Coast Guard and it's service people. I should have realized much earlier in life that since Australia is basically a huge island, of course it has miles and miles and miles of coastal waters and needs men and women to protect and tend them! This is a really good story, with humor, danger, romance, tension, bad guys and heroes to win the day. I strongly recommend that you give yourself the pleasure of reading Aaliyah's Commando Angel (there's an epilog available, as well), and enjoy Down Under action and romance. Thank you, Aaliyah!

    This was a nice story. Melanie is trying to stay under the radar when she meets Joseph when they are both volunteers for The Nature Care work on the island. Joe and Melanie aren't interested in a relationship even thought they are attracted to each other. Melanie will make the first move but her past will put her in the defence mod. Joseph will have to convince her that he isn't who she thinks he is and that he can help her. This was an entertaining story with a happy ending.
