    I've read a lot of books written by Lena Bourne; she has done a great job at writing another good book; she is one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to read more of books her books.

    The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.

    I enjoyed this book and thought it was a great introduction to this series. I really liked the characters, Cross, his daughter Lily and Roxie were were interesting and I found the connections between them intriguing. Cross was easy to fall for. He was hot, tough but caring, and filled with emotional turmoil over doing what was right for those he loved and what was right for his MC. My heart ached for Lily. This young girl's world had been totally shaken up and I could completely understand her anxiety and fears. As for Roxie my feeling were more complicated. While I could sympathize with her and like her, I can't say I had a lot of respect for her. I can forgive her for getting swept up in her emotions but I won't forgive her for dropping the ball as far as Lily was concerned. Love and desire are wonderful but you have an important job; so do it! Even with that pet peeve, I liked this book and look forward to reading more books from this series.

Great characters, but they also had their flaws. 2 people from the same liger style coming together, yet throw in a ten with issues and you got yourself sons good jabs here and there.     I can't believe it took me 2yrs to get around to reading this book. Cross is the cold hearted Prez of the Devils Nightmare MC, who has recently found out he's the father of a rebellious young girl. Lily has been thrust into her father's world, which is a lot different to the reservation she grew up on with her grandparents. Roxie hasn't stopped running and looking over her shoulder for six years. Is she really trying to help Lily or is she trying to find a way back to her old life through Cross? But becoming a part of Cross and Lily's life also brings the memories and a danger she had been trying to avoid for six years right to her doorstep. What was she thinking? I really enjoyed this story and am looking forward to reading more of this series.

    No one would ever cause Cross of being a wuss. The man is demanding, bossy, and downright driven. He is not the best communicator when it comes to feelings or thoughts. Enter Lily, his 12 year old daughter who was dropped on his door step. He had no idea at the time he had a child. Now her mother has run off, Lily's getting trouble in school, and hates the fact her dad could get hurt. The one good thing they have going on for each other is they are a lot Alike. Lily gets called into the new guidance counselor office. Roxie, a no non-sense women, who develops a soft spot for not only Lily, but her dad as well, defends Lily when the other teachers and principal want to kick her out. This is the start for Roxie trying to find her place. She is scared, scarred, and hoping that Lily and Cross are her saving grace. O'Neill stick this book in my top 15, of MC books.

She managed to escape and through hard work and determination was now a Guidance Officer in a Junior High. It was on her first day that she met a young girl who had been abandoned by her mother, and was having problems at school. Her father was Cross, President of the"Devil's Nightmare MC Club," and a difficult parent to deal with. Despite this, Roxie was determined to help the young girl continue her education, and arranged to meet with the girl's father. The chemistry between them was explosive and intense and before long they were also lovers. I found this book addictive and as the romance between Cross and Roxie developed, so did my fascination with the story. Roxie missed hearing the sounds of the club bikes and the friendships of her former club members. She could understand the difficult time Cross experience as both a new father and club President. I admired his determination to protect his daughter and provide for her future. This book was not only a romance, but also a story of revenge and retribution, combined with the mystery of Roxie's past.

    Excellent start too the series, really good book, loved the storyline, characters were ones to care about, all in all a real good book. Do have a but though. I'm coming up on 28%, the story is finishing ????? Check it out. First couple of chapters from book 2 + half the books from another series. I really don't want see this. Make book smaller, don't fill it with crap xx

    My first book by this author and I'm looking forward to reading more.

    I listened to CROSS in audible, the narration was good and I got a good feel for the characters and the action.

    As MC romance goes, this fulfilled everything I love about them.

    Action, drama, hotness, danger.

    When Roxie's father and her family are killed along with the rest of the MC by another MC, she runs and is determined to start again and leave that life behind her.

    6 years later Roxie starts a new job working at a School as a guidance Councillor, she works with problematic pupils, this is when she comes across her new case, a young girl all the teachers have given up on, the daughter of an MC President.

    Cross and Roxie are drawn to each other like magnets, they argue, she doesn't back down, Roxie has been used to men like Cross most of her life and she isn't intimidated by him, they have chemistry, she fascinates him they are both drawn to each other, its hot and they begin seeing each other.

    After vowing to stay away from the MC life Roxie needs to decide if she wants to go with her heart or head and if she tells Cross who she really is and all about her past life.

    I enjoyed it, I felt there was some info missing re Cross's daughter, why she acted up, why she had dreams, maybe it was in a previous book? I don't know but it all needed tying together, the puzzle pieces didn't make a bigger picture in the end with some things but I would read more in this series. ​

    Six years ago, club president's daughter, Roxie escaped after an attack by Hell's Spawn which killed her father and brother.
