About the author

Writer of Horror, Science Fiction and Fantasy.
Caroline lives alone on a small farm in rural Victoria, Australia, with her beloved Arabian horses, her dogs and cats. She has always been passionate about writing, having written many short stories as a child and teenager, but found life got in the way and put her dreams of being an author aside for many decades. In her fifties, she finally found the courage to start putting her stories online, from fanfiction and flash fiction, she moved into her favorite genre and wrote horror. After winning several awards and competitions, and achieving the 'most read' on fiction websites she finally started her first novel and has not stopped writing since. Gaining her BA in Creative Writing, she constantly expands her writing horizons by delving into different genres and platforms.

- Reviewed in the United States on September 17, 2020Format: KindleVerified PurchaseCaroline Angel created a second thrilling horror book full of mystery and drama. I really liked it! You keep connecting with all the characters which is not easy. It is very hard for an author to create empathy between the reader and the characters, but you can expect it in Madman Across The Water: The Curse Awakens. Also, have you seen this awesome cover? It screams creepy book ahead.
I recommend Madman Across The Water: The Curse Awakens as it is a great scary book mixed with political issues and mystery for you to think about psychological issues, exploitation and how sometimes we are pawns and we don’t even know it. Caroline made a wonderful job describing the many characters personalities and expressions.
The Wallis family thought that everything was alright because they have destroyed the dangerous creature that was ruining their lives. It was all great until someone decided to use the land and awoken something bigger and darker. I had my fair amount of jump scares and I was kind of afraid of the dark.
To me this book is a must for this fall. You can expect a roller coaster of emotions. Believe me when I tell you that it is addictive and TERRYFING! It is the best book for horror lovers.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 12, 2020Format: KindleVerified PurchaseIf you are here, you need to consider Madman Across The Water (the first book). I really enjoyed that book but I loved this one more. Caroline Angel's writing is exceptional and original. I have read my fair share of horror books and her books are very cinematic!
This book creeps you out with its vivid description. For a hot second you get lost in its world and if you listen keenly, you will hear your heart beat faster and harder.
I highly recommend this book. It is thrilling, well written, characters are well developed, it is captivating, interesting and believe it or not thought provoking.
PS: Read it deep into the night, near the woods for a good scare.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 17, 2020Format: KindleThis book was just as chilling as the first. The brothers have to fight back the curse once more when someone decides it's a good idea to cut down the forest. I could not put it down.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 4, 2021Format: KindlePoorly written once again. Is free in kindle with membership but not even worth the free.
