Curses and Convicts: MM paranormal shifter romance (Hitmen and Hexes Book 2) Kindle Edition
The Russian Doll is reluctantly drawn back into the world of mystery and danger for one final, heart-pounding case.
Voodoo, Hunter and Doll must go undercover in prison and convince a man known only as Glass Eye to give up his informant.
Three men go in, and three men will come out—a fact that pulls at a good man’s heartstrings when Voodoo finds the man he lost waiting for him inside: Teddy Lane is hex-free and away from nightmare B&B.
The biggest question is which three will leave and who will be left behind. It’s beginning to look like the whole thing was a set-up.

About the author

Charlotte Brice started writing at the age of thirteen, when her handwriting looked like a drunken spider tried to navigate its way across the page. Practicing her handwriting got a lot more interesting when her gran gave her two Rawhide books, and her imagination took over.
Charlotte is left-handed and can lick her own nose. She lives in England with her husband, and many animals, four of them human. Attack chickens, confused dragons, and moving rocks make up the majority of the menagerie. We can't expect much better from someone who studied fruit flies during her animal science degree and then qualified as a vet.
She remembers those days fondly, when putting her arm up a cow's bottom and socks on emus' heads was her kind of normality. Now her head is filled with tentacles and schizophrenic phoenixes.
Keep up with Charlotte’s slightly psychotic menagerie of men and magnificent worlds on her website.

- Reviewed in the United States on October 25, 2022I'm absolutely in love with this series! Daddy Voodoo, Master Hunter and Doll are all back in this second installment, and this time their going undercover in prison to get information from a major criminal kingpin - a man that Doll is responsible for being incarcerated and blind in one eye!
I am a total sucker for a good prison story and this one totally delivers! There's the usual host of seedy prisoners and ruthless guards, but then there's the additional drama of Hunter trying to hide his shifter side when he is separated from Doll! Doll finds himself sharing a cell with a sweet young man, Teddy, who was falsely convicted, and for whom, Voodoo is immediately smitten with. Of course, there's some double dealing and betrayal from the government agency that recruited the trio, and Doll has to push his unique skillset to the limit in order to get all of them - including Teddy - out in one piece! I loved these characters in the first book, and I found myself just falling a little more in love with them here. There's magic and shifters and Doll's unique style, and I really recommend starting with the first book and then hitting this one! I'm eagerly looking forward to more books in this series and can't wait to see what mayhem these four - cause now we have Teddy - get themselves into next!
- Reviewed in the United States on October 27, 2022This book features another adventure for Doll, Voodoo and Hunter. They are facing an old foe of Dolls....but they might bite off more than they can chew. This book is full of backstabbing, possessiveness, love and fun.
I really enjoyed the story I must say Doll and Teddy together made the book all the better. You could feel their friendship develop throughout the book and I feel like they really get each other.
Voodoo has always been kinda hit or miss for me, still not sure why though. Hunter's possessiveness leaves him blind to alot around his but I like that he gets all possessive over doll.
Interested in seeing what happens next now that it's a full house
- Reviewed in the United States on October 12, 2022Another round of the madcap adventures of Hunter, Voodoo and now Doll. The dynamic trio is back again on another mission where they must head into a prison undercover. Some new side characters are introduced with new bad guys like Glass Eye and the recurring character of Jackal (Jekyll). However, the most important addition who gets his own POV chapters is Teddy. He is the sweet to Doll's smart and slightly twisted ways. He’s in prison for being falsely accused and sees ghosts.
If you read the first book, you know that Voodoo has had some bad luck in relationships and is looking for his own partner in this pack/coven arrangement. Along comes Teddy who is quirky and sweet. Doll immediately knows that he will be perfect for Voodoo. Although there are a fair amount of chapters from Hunter and Voodoo’s perspective, I felt that this book was really Teddy and Doll’s compared to the first book which is totally driven by Hunter/Voodoo POV with some Doll
perspective. I think Doll might very well be my favorite character out of all of them!
The twists and turns in this book are great. Some surprises at the end that you don’t see coming. Some hilarious lines from Doll - "As the song say, shower the horses I'm done" (which may be my new exit line at all functions). Looking forward to whatever these four get up to next cause it’s bound to be full of quirky surprises! I received an early copy of this book and this is my honest and fair review.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 28, 2022In the second book of the series Voodoo, Hunter and Doll go undercover in a prison. There they meet Teddy who sees ghosts and is perfect for Voodoo. I enjoy this series as they try to maintain their pack and their needs for each other. This is an enjoyable lighthearted series with little angst and just a touch of gruesomeness mixed with magic. Doll is the most interesting with his Russian heritage, language gaffes and assassin training but Voodoo and Hunter have their highlights and Teddy seems very sweet to lighten their intensity. I look forward to further developments in these books. I received a copy of this book and this is my honest opinion.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 30, 2022Such an amazing read that will grab you once you start reading and you wont be able to put it down until the last page is read. It moves along at a pace which is perfect for the flow of the story. The characters are amazing and you feel as though you have known them forever and you cant help but love them. This is a must read that needs to be on your TBR list, no doubt about it.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 18, 2022Curses and Convicts is the second book in the Hitmen and Hexes series. Voodoo, Hunter and Doll are back with another adventure. They must go into a prison undercover. Three go in and three must come out. Teddy sees ghosts and is sweet and slightly nutty, quirky and perfect for Voodoo! I loved the twists and turns in this story! Overall, a fantastic addition to the series. I cannot wait for more. Well written with pacing that flows and hooked me.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 10, 2022This is book #2 in The Hitmen & Hexes series and it did not disappoint. This time our guys are undercover in a prison and what a ride they take you on. I absolutely adored Teddy and I loved him for Voodoo. I really enjoyed this one, there’s mystery, twists and turns, and surprises throughout that will keep you intrigued and turning the pages. I loved this and highly recommend.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 12, 2022“Curses and Convicts” is the second book in the series and I was not disappointed. I love the twist on bad guys going to jail but not in the way you would think. We meet a new character in this book and he sees ghosts which is a cool new added tool for the magical mayhem we already have. This is such a fun series and I can’t wait for more!

5.0 out of 5 stars More magic and mayhem
Charlotte Brice gives us more magic and mayhem with this second book in the series. Even better than the first book.

4.0 out of 5 stars An interesting mix of paranormal and mystery.
This is a MM book with a mystery for the guys to solve and is the second book in the series and follows on from the first.
We met Hunter, Voodoo and Doll in book 1, but now we get to meet Teddy.
My favourite character has to be Doll, everyone seems to underestimate him either due to his accent or age, but he is definitely the star of the story, possibly even the series. Hunter is totally driven by his wolf instincts and that does put the guys into some rather sticky situations. Voodoo is my second favourite and I love how he uses his magic for everyday tasks.
I found the first half of the book a little tough going, but the second half was a page turner as all the pieces started slotting into place as the mystery is unravelled.
I'm not a fan of the relationship dynamics, but they do really suit the characters.
An interesting mix of paranormal and mystery.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic read
This is a superb continuation from book one. In order to keep their Doll the gang need to spend a week in prison performing the task asked of them. But things are not as they seem, with twist and turns, return of familiar faces and some new faces this was an excellent read, great storyline which is easy to read and lose yourself in the story. Great characters some humour and interesting plot, I loved it and cannot wait for book three
