Taggart King is a Reiki Master Teacher from England who has taught Reiki since 1997, in the UK and Europe, and has pioneered teaching Reiki through home study courses (he has taught 700+ people in 28 countries this way).

He teaches 'Original Japanese Reiki' - not the Western-style Hayashi/Takata Reiki that is passed on in most Reiki courses.

Taggart has written extensively about Reiki and on the "Reiki Evolution" web site www.reiki-evolution.co.uk you can read 100+ articles about all aspects of learning, teaching and practising Reiki, the best of which Taggart has compiled in his book, "Liberate Your Reiki!"

Reiki Evolution provide resources for all Reiki teachers and practitioners to use, and make available Reiki manuals, audio CDs and downloads. In 2017 Taggart published "Teaching Reiki: A comprehensive guide to running great courses", which is probably the first book aimed at helping Reiki Masters to set up and run good-quality Reiki courses.

Taggart's book holds so much wisdom, reassurance and support and he fully explains the answers to many of the questions I have been wondering about.     If you are looking for a book to help with your reiki practice, look no further. This as the title suggest is a great way to liberate your reiki practice from all of the dogma that has appeared over the years in many of the reiki styles. In these 86 articles you will find a trove of information about the original reiki taught by Mikao Usui, the differences between attunements and empowerments, up to distant healing and much, much more. This book is designed to allow you to jump right in anywhere in the book. You can pick the articles you want to read first and then go back to the others at your leisure. It is for the novice practitioner as well as the seasoned master/teacher. It is indeed a reiki eye opener. It is not a reiki manual but it is loaded with much information.

    I love all Taggart's writings and this book is no exception. It cuts through the confusion that has surrounded Reiki for the last 50 years in the West and presents Reiki in its original beautifully simple, yet highly sophisticated, form. Beginners to Master Teachers will all find something in this gem. My only regret is that the Kindle version is not compatible with the Paperwhite Kindle 10th Generation and I sadly had to return it for a refund. I would love to carry this book around me on my Kindle so could we please have a Kindle version that is compatible with the 10th generation Paperwhite?
