Love in Surrender (De La Fuente Book 8) Kindle Edition

4.5 out of 5 stars 81 ratings

Blake Kelly had a promising career in the NHL, but that came to a screeching halt the day he walked out in front of a car. Months later he’s living in Great Falls, Montana with his physical therapist. She’s teased his senses from the moment he laid eyes on her, and she’s given him something to look forward to every morning—a reason to get out of bed.

His heart aches with longing for the beautiful woman, but as long as he’s stuck in the wheelchair then he has nothing to offer her, or so he thinks.

***

Violet Flowers has fallen hard for her patient and her heart hurts with the longing for something that she knows Blake will never allow—for them to build a life together. She’s only ever seen the positive in Blake were he only sees his disability. But then the final blow comes when Blake tells her that he thinks she should start dating—someone else.

This is the final book in the De La Fuente Family Series.

De La Fuente Series

The De La Fuente home is outside of Great Falls, Montana, and the six book series features each of the De La Fuente siblings: Dante, Eric, Aiden, Mateo, Kasey, and fraternal twins, Diego and Emelia.

Another great love story from Lexi Buchanan. Each member of the De La Fuente family are characters to fall in love with each and every time. I really enjoy catching up with all the characters. Lexi Buchanan does it once again.

Blake and Violet are wonderful together. It was interesting to have the wheelchair aspect and having to overcome that obstacle, you don't see that much. Great story.

Love in Surrender was an engaging, quick, fast paced story. That had likeable characters, lots of sex and a happy ending. Yet, it also had a couple of minor story lines that didn't really go anywhere not to mention a few loose endings. But nevertheless it didn't stop me enjoying it and it was nice to catch up with a few members of the De La Fuente family. So I would happily recommend it to others, particularly if you're a fan of the series or enjoyed Love in Game. Which is the first story to feature Blake, Violet and Blake's sister Felicity.

    Would recommend.

It was okay....but have to say I was a bit disappointed. I'm a massive Lexi fan & have loved all her books....but this one just felt lacking & if I'm honest rushed...with no specific story line. As the book progressed i found myself flicking through the love scenes as they got a tad predictable & repetitive. Violet & Deacons story line was so rushed it was pointless & the ending with the ice bunny seem to come out of no where again with no loose endings tied up. Gutted as I've loved all then other books in this series.
