Tracy Lorraine’s Dark Knight has returned, and Knights Ridge Empire has never been hotter! “I want to paint you in my blood. Make you mine.” Batman was quick to take Calli and pick up right where they left off during that memorable Halloween night. No matter if she has acquired love interests, including the enemy and brother of her lover since that fateful night, Calli is unable to deny the one Devil who owns her. Immediately my kindle was set on fire, and after that cliffhanger, all I can think of is I am burning for what happens next in Dark Princess. “And just like that, the angel hands herself over to the devil himself.” Overall, this rating is charming characters, intriguing plot, and spicy enemies to lovers vibes. For an all-consuming experience, I recommend starting the series before, or with the prequel. It’s a must! This was an instant go-to for me, and I can’t wait to find out what happens next! I reviewed an early copy voluntarily, and look forward to future novels by the author.

    Who knew Batman was like this!! Batman is my new fave book boyfriend in Knight's Ridge Empire. He is the most vicious guy of them all, stays away from being in the group so much, and we never knew much about him.

    Dark Knight has opened our eyes to more about Batman; yes, he is the one to call when things go south but who knew he had this other side that makes him feel like he is lesser than everyone else?

    Batman secretly craves the 'Mafia Princess' Callista; they have been around each other since they were six. However, he has been steadfast in keeping this secret to himself until Halloween night, when he could no longer hide it.

    Callista is tired of everyone treating her like a precious princess, being overbearingly protective and hiding things from her. She wants to play on the other side, and for some reason, her body calls for Batman to do all the playing.

    Can Batman and Callista - the supposed reject and the mafia princess get what they both want and allow everyone to see? This trilogy is going to be smoking!!!

    Catch that cliffhanger at the end...hmmm!!! Cant wait for book 2.

    I have been on pins and needles anxiously awaiting Calli's turn in the series after I read the prequel, Dark Halloween Knight, which chronologically falls at the end of Wicked Princess. Yes! I guessed the masked mystery Batman guy was Daemon even back then due to his side eyes and one liners in the other books in the series.

    The first book in Calli and Daemon's trilogy, Dark Knight, starts around the retribution time against the Italians after Jodie and Joanne were abducted.

    Callista Cirillo, Mafia Princess, little sister to Nico, tired of being a pawn and ladder to others who wish to gain access to her powerful family. With the war escalating between her family and the Italians, her hidden relationship with Ant comes further into light.

    Nikolas Daemon Deimos, obsessed and addicted to his ultimate weakness, Calli, since they were six years old. Watching her grow and blossom, forever tortured. His darkness stirs unease in the others of The Knight's Ridge Empire, yet his sweet disposition is solely for Calli.

    How do you deal with the Devil?

    Daemon's life and thoughts tore my soul and ripped it out through my heart for the lonely boy always demeaned, belittled and left on the sidelines.

    Calli has been in her ivory tower all her life and has been kept in the dark on everything that her family was a part of. That was until she met and spent time with Stella and Emmie. These two gave her so much push to truly get out and learn. The thing is, Calli has very high expectations from her parents on her that have her feeling like she is weighed down. So, when Batman approaches her, she feels all the excitement of feeling in control. When she learns who Batman is, well the smile only gets bigger. She is done being in the dark and ready for the light.

    Batman has wanted Calli for as long as he can remember, but he knows that he will never be enough for her. So, he takes little moments to enjoy his angel. Is he ready for his light to bring happiness to the darkness that he has always caried? I need so much more right now please and thank you!

    Watching all of the characters from the start, it seems that the parents of the girls make the biggest mistake. By not being up front and honest with them about their family history and the type of danger they could be in due to the family they belong to, they handicap them from being prepared and able to honestly see what is happening around them.

    Watching Calli start to come into her own despite her controlling parents and older brother has been awesome. The fact that no one has realized that leaving her in the dark makes her the weak link in their group.

    Seeing Daemon begin to reach for what he really wants. He also keeps Calli at arms length, but mostly because he's in his head instead of really hearing what she's saying.

    Hopefully, they'll all realize their errors in time by the end of the next installment.

    I knew Callie story was gonna be my favorite I could tell.... I'm not disappointed at all who Batman ended up being, I kinda has two people in mind and I'm happy it turned out to be him.... I don't want to spoil who it is because I want you to go in surprise
    if you haven't figured it out.... Calli story was by far the best for me, there was no groveling, not one of them did the other wrong.... And Calli, damn she gave it just as much as she got it, the girl has a backbone and know how to used it, which shocked me, I thought she was gonna be a pushover but she had fire in her....

    Wow just wow!! We first met Batman back on Halloween night and waited in suspense to find out who he was. When we finally found out in Bully God we were all on the edge of our seats.

    Batman is the best man to bring Calli out of the light and embrace her inner darkness with her Devil! She has the bat cave and all!

    Gah, the origami bats ❤️

    We've only ever saw little bits of Batman in the previous books and never fully understood why he's not incl by the others so much. Reading this we get to know his psych and background a bit more.

    And forget all the other Knights, Batman is the best and deserves/needs our love the most!

    We ended on a pretty big cliffy and I just hope she had on some of that special jewelery!

    This book is absolutely in my top 5 favourite books! I just came across this author but did she ever get me hooked on her words. holy there’s fire on almost every page 🔥 the characters are enjoyable, the storyline is enjoyable, just ughhhh everything is enjoyable!! Batman is such a bruised sole, but his angel never gives up on him and sees the good in him. I’m halfway through the 2nd book and I can’t wait to dive into the 3rd book and read the rest of their story. It’s not often a book is able to pull me in and make me sit for hours non stop reading but this is one that has! 10/10 worth it.
