I was finally able to read Dark Shadow, of course I 1st had to reread Mixed Blessing. Let me tell you I almost went back to reread the whole Kindred series, since Nicola mentioned this series would be 6.5 and 6.75 in the Kindred world (my favorite world). I'm totally in love with Samson, Dark Shadow and Black Dog. I don't want to spoil anything for anyone who hasn't had a chance to read it, so I'll just say I LOVE Dark Shadow and can't wait for the next one. 20 stars out of 5

Dark Shadow begins with Georgia having to pay back a dept she owes to a Farie. It is not all fun and games though. That's not the only thing she is dealing with now though, she also has to deal with her cop friend bringing her in on a case, her Dark Shadow, and the men in her life. But when she finally starts to get things right, it may end up going all wrong.

I have waited for this book forever it seems like. I was so happy to get to read it, and it was awesome. Although, I probably should have re-read the first one before this one, but that's okay. It was really good, and I loved the heroine. I also loved what happened between her and the hero. However, I was a bit frustrated and happy with the end, although it ends on a cliffhanger, I'm upset and excited for more now. I can't wait!!

I really enjoyed following Georgia as she learns more about her vampire within and how to live and work together with her to benefit both of them. She learns more about her Nosferitin half and how to meld it with her vampire half as she experiences other supernatural disasters in her life. Great book, highly recommend it.

A solid second installment. I really enjoy this world that Ms. Claire has created, and I certainly give her props for creativity. The concept feels original and fresh, which I always appreciate. I like Georgia as a character, and I was happy with the romantic developments in this story. I was definitely invested from page 1 of the story and couldn't put the book down. Looking forward to #3!

There are many reason why I loved this book; Gigi is a strong, no nonsense heroine with sharp wit and great determination in the face of so much adversity; the secondary characters are so well thought out and described that they appear as imposing and important as the main characters, and finally, it gave me a further KINDRED fix.
I can't wait for the next book in this series. I find myself rooting for Gigi so much.

She’s awesome and so is Nicola how she can ensnare you from the first chapter to the last, getting lost in the description of her fair city and New Zealand. I’m off to re-read the whole Kindred set as I’be been flung well and truly back into this world.
