About the author

Rachael Boucker doesn't know how she got on this planet, and she sure as celibate, shelved Seans doesn't know how to get off it.
She's settled in the Forest of Dean UK, a hub for peculiar beings, with her human Richard (enslaved in a long term relationship) and three hybrid semi-sentient miniatures.
With a tentative connection to the hive mind, Rachael listens in on strange stories spanning multiple dimensions, and passes these eavesdroppings off as fiction, mostly horror and fantasy. Sci-fi can be triggering, dredging up memories of the spacebound life she left behind, but she does occasionally indulge in this genre. Look out for her Night Order dark fantasy series, being published by Eerie River Publishing.

- Reviewed in the United States on March 14, 2020Format: KindleBook two was even better than the first. Twists and turns as the plot thickens and mutations keep happening. Surprises in every chapter, the end of humanity but maybe the beginnings of something also. The scientists are madder than ever and the bad guys just get worse. Can’t wait to start the next book as I need to know what happens next.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Strong Follow Up
Format: KindleVerified PurchaseThe second in the Decaying Days trilogy moves on smoothly and seamlessly from the first book.
Starting out you're given a deeper understanding of the circumstances which created the world before being dropped back into the current timeline. Like the first book, the chapters being short create a fast paced read.
Following the story of the protagonists from the first book with some new faces thrown in keep it fresh. Tension gets built, the storyline develops quickly and not always in a way you're expecting.
Looking forward to the final book.
