    This is my first read by this author (and her original author name) but WILL NOT be my last. This was the perfect short, hot, sexy read that I crave. I do not like comparing authors as they all have their own uniqueness but his story is in league with Alexa Riley, Penny Wylder, Aria Cole and Sylvia Fox! This story had everything that I want in a story. It was short, sweet, hot, complete, steamy, and well written. The story delivers on everything that it promises and more.

    This is the story of Naomi and Dominic. Naomi is a college student home for a break and babysitting for her father’s best friend. She is taking care of little Hannah and finding that she cannot resist Dominic. The story starts out with a bang and doesn’t stop until the very end! I loved the push and pull between the characters and the plot that was developed. It was not just a hot steamy story there was substance and fulfillment.

    I loved the lines in this story so much that my copy is basically one highlighted version. My favorite line (that will be Amazon approved in a review) is: “I don’t regret falling in love with your daughter…She saved me. She took care of Hannah. She has my back. She was there for me, and I’m never going to forget that.” The epilogue was amazing and just what one should be, a glimpse into the couple’s future and a sweet moment that lets the reader know that they are still amazing together. I received an ARC and am leaving a voluntary review and I also bought the book because it was so wonderful. I highly recommend this story and will be reading it time and time again; it is going in my favorites file!

    It was good for a little novella. I liked it. Only 4 stars because I wasn’t expecting the female lead to not be Black. I forget that Black authors write more non Black female leads than white authors write Black ones. It’s a thing I will never understand. Personally, I prefer my Black authors to write Black female leads because there is so few of us represented in the genre (romance). But the story was good, happy little ending for them…yay…

    I'm always down for a short and smutty book, like any other reader!

    I often feel the need to read one because it manages to take me out of a funk or hangover. This, unfortunately, fell a bit short. In every meaning of the word.

    I get that it was supposed to be a short one but 54%? Nah, I kind of feel cheated.

    Anyway, I can't rate it more than 2 stars and I'm thinking I'll stick to the books written by Shanora Williams, because Nora Heat isn't for me.
