Love when you least expect it!
WOW! WOW! WOW! This was a great read by Kimberly and Dominique. I really loved the tension and banter between Perrie and Sterling. HOT HOT HOT! Their chemistry jumped off the pages and I felt every gaze, touch and heated glance they shared with one another. Perrie is a force to be reckoned with and she makes no excuses for going after what she wants. She is comfortable in her own skin and the confidence she exudes immediately draws you in. Sterling can be, how shall we say it, a douchecanoe! However, as we get to know him and Perrie chips away at those walls he's built, we find and extremely thoughtful and engaging man. He's a family man, yet alpha to the core. Yes, he was frustrating at times, but by the end he claimed my heart. There is no shortage of emotions in this push and pull romance. Love, drama, angst, happiness, acceptance and forgiveness. I was all over the place and that's what made this journey so great. These two drive each other crazy in one breath and can't get enough of each other in the next. Overall, this is a great read and I look forward to anything these two authors come up with in the future!

    Gah! Angsty books are my favorite and this book was chock full of angst! Sterling and Perrie had an instant connection, wanted to be together, but the Girl Code denied them. He was the ex of her used to be best friend who was now her pretty flakey sort of friend. And the fact that Rachel and Sterling were on and off all the time for the past 8 years should tell her that they would probably get back together again. So why was Perrie so into Sterling? Why did she want him so badly? And after she had him, it was no more just a one time thing, she began to act like an obsessed teenager.

    I loved Perrie and Sterling together. I loved that they became friends and Sterling had never had a girl as a friend before. I hated seeing him with Rachel. I don't understand why he stayed with her for 8 years. She was so shallow and he was so much more. All the ways she manipulated him, it made me want to kick her in her bony little kiester. Perrie was so much more than Rachel, until she started playing her little games. Then I wanted to kick her, too. Even Sterling deserved a kick a couple of times. But that only shows you that the book was so good and I was so into it, that I was feeling them!

    After all the chaos that is their crazy lives gets played out, we get our HEA and then a beautiful epilogue! And Rachel gets everything she deserves! I was happy! This book is great!

    Don't Let Me Be Yours was a good read. I really enjoyed the beginning of the story and I liked both Perrie and Sterling characters, I also enjoyed Blake and Cooper. I didn't care for Rachel at all. I didn't even mind the cheating in the story but what bothered me was when Perrie decided to be Rachel's bridesmaid. They weren't even good friends and even though they were childhood friends, their friendship died a long time ago so I could not understand why she continued to hold on to their so called friendship. Especially, after things had changed between her and Sterling. The other thing that bothered me about Perrie in the story was how weak she became near the end of the book. I wanted her to be that strong woman I thought she was in the beginning. This story was also a little predictable, because there was no way the reader could not figure out what Rachel was doing and what was going to happen. This wasn't a bad story and I did enjoy it, but if I had enjoyed the middle and end of this story as much as I did the beginning, this would have been a 5 star read for me.

    When I read the blurb of Don’t Let Me Be Yours by Kimberly Reese and Dominique Laura I knew I had to read it. Books like this one consume me and I devoured this book. A forbidden romance that should never be, but how do you let go of something that feels so right?

    I loved Esperanza Ayala, Perrie. She was a strong female and loved her attitude. Lawrence Sterling Montgomery III is confident, arrogant and could be a jerk. Rachel is Perrie’s best friend and it seemed destined that she should marry Sterling. But after one of their infamous breakup, Perrie and Sterling found comfort in each other. They know it should not continue, but can they deny their chemistry?

    Sterling was not always the most likable guy, but Perrie gave as well as she got. I literally devoured this book! I loved the banter between the characters and their journey. It was not an easy one and there is cheating, but the story is so worth reading.

    Perrie didn’t mean to fall for the handsome stranger at the bar, but she was feeling great after a few drinks and he was on her radar. When she propositioned him, the twinkle in his blue eyes looked familiar, but she couldn’t place him. Then he uttered a name she was trying to forget, “Rachel”, and she knew who he was; Sterling Montgomery, her best friend Rachel’s boyfriend. He immediately told her they had broken up, but that didn’t matter. She would never hook up with her friends ex-boyfriend, even though her body was telling her to go for it. Maybe one kiss.     Sterling recognized Perrie and her sexy body right away, and he was psyched that she had approached him. She was the exact opposite of Rachel and he would love to get to know her better. He could definitely use a distraction to get the nightmare of Rachel off of his mind, so he decided to play along. He never chases women because they come to him and he is always in control in the bedroom. He wasn’t sure how far Perrie was willing to go but if he struck out tonight, he wouldn’t give up. She was temptation wrapped up in a petite, sexy package and he wanted to explore their connection.

    The sexy and flirtatious banter between Perrie and Sterling is intoxicating and you never know what will happen next. The personalities of the characters jump off of the page and invite you into their fun and crazy world. This is the first collaboration between authors Kimberly Reese and Dominique Laura, and I certainly hope it is not the last.

    As far as books go, anything with cheating usually isn't my taste. But I read this because I absolutely devoured Kimberly Reese's 2 other books so I felt I needed to give it a go.
    I am glad I did. It was fabulously written and while it did focus on a topic that I am not overly comfortable with, I did enjoy the majority of it.
    A strong, fiesty and independent woman falls for the alpha billionaire. Whats not to like?! But this story does go deeper and it explores the guilt, anger and rejection that usually follows an affair.
    Give this book a go. Its worth it.
