The Dragon of Sedona (The Treasure of Paragon Book 4) Kindle Edition
Some memories are magic.
Darkness he can't forget.Exiled dragon prince Alexander never recovered from the murder of his mate Maiara, an indigenous healer he met over three centuries ago. Every waking breath is a painful reminder of what he lost, his grief compounded by the constant presence of her immortal red-tailed hawk, bound to him since her death.
Light he's afraid to remember. When three of his siblings arrive with news that he may be in grave danger, he secretly welcomes the possibility of a violent end to his torment. But as the four reminisce about how they came to know Maiara in the New World, they begin to see her life and death from a new perspective.
Magic that could change everything. For the first time, the source of Maiara's power is revealed and inspires a new but precarious hope. There may be a way for Alexander to be with her again, but his second chance for a happily ever after is risky at best, and at worst, could cost him the only thing he has left.

- Reviewed in the United States on June 8, 2020Started reading this series when she was practically giving away the first book. Awesome writer. She just jumped into Serious author with this book: adding her to a special few who elevate the genre into Literature. Jack manages to blend Native American lore, Sci Fi (dragons from an alternate planet/dimension), Greek mythology and serious romance (actually needed Kleenex for this one!) into one of the best books I've read.
If you are looking for a summer read - start here. Jack's just gone to pre-order status and I suspect, she'll quickly reach the level of Kresley Cole, KM Moning, Shelly Laurenston and maybe even Anne McCaffrey.
She's THAT good! Enuf said.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 22, 2021I enjoyed this book and it keeps getting better and better with each book! I am so glad that Alexander was able to get past his depression related to his lost love, Maiara. There is a lot of action in this book and I can't wait to read the next book in the series! I do recommend this book and I am sure others will enjoy it!
- Reviewed in the United States on January 23, 2025This was a really good story. It had lots of background information on what had happened to all of the people in the book which it hasn’t done before given a little bit, but this was way better. So I really enjoyed it, and I was surprised when it seemed to end so fast.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 29, 2022Alexander and Maiara are the fourth couple in the Treasures of Paragon series, although they were the first couple to find - and lose - each other. Their story is heartbreaking, but thanks to the reunited Treasures, there is hope. The way Genevieve wove the past and present together kept me flipping pages well into the early hours of the morning! I just couldn’t put this one down! There was tragedy, love found, love lost, treachery, love reborn, more about the Treasures’ past and present, and the happy ending you were hoping for all along! Another masterpiece in this amazing series! Loved it!
- Reviewed in the United States on March 29, 2020I don't usually write reviews..but for "The Dragon of Sedona" I had too. The storyline was well done. Jumping back and forth 300 years..was will done. The story arch was well.thought out and easy to keep track of times, characters and the story line. Ms. Jack also did well with continuing storylines from previous books. Can't wait to see the path of characters that came more to the front as the book cane to an end. Curious how she is going to weave them into the next one.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 8, 2022The first book got me into the series. She is a good Arthur, but uses the "f: word to much I have marked them out of most of the books and replace with another word.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 28, 2021This series is blowing my mind! I love how the stories are both an individual tale of the main characters and a continuation of all that has come before. Many authors seem to get overwhelmed by the addition of new characters as the books grow in number and start leaving people out of the story... not so in these books! The story picks right up where it left off, everyone is involved, and it flows so beautifully that you simply cannot put it down! It’s fantastic world-building meets amazing writing skills! I’m going to devour everything she writes once I finish these books.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 20, 2020I don't know why every time I open one of Genevieve Jack's books, I devour it in a day.
I met Genevieve Jack at a literacy event in NYC. I had no idea who she was prior to this event and I am incredibly happy I not only stopped to talk to her but also bought the first book in this series The Dragon of New Orleans.
In the fourth installment of The Treasure of Paragon Series, readers meet Alexander. He lost the love of his life centuries ago and thought he was going to die a lonely dragon. 400 years after losing his mate, he gets a surprise visit from his siblings and their significant others. His sister (the protagonist of the third book) asks him to tell the one of the hardest stories of his life, the story of how he lost his mate Maiara. In the process of ripping his wound back open he learns something that brings hope to Alexander.
The story was a rollercoaster in regards to my emotions not only do we learn more about Alexander and Maiara but we also are learning more of what happened in Paragon. Check out this series and join me in patiently waiting for the next installment.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fast Paced and Fun
Another great read from G.J. I have read all her books, so far and love them. Her writing is gritty, up to date and well researched. It is also adult themed, but not in a crude way. This one is no exception. Although a stand-alone, I would advise to start at Book 1, The Dragon of New Orleans. It adds to the whole thing to start at the beginning. This way, as well, allows you to binge read and not to have to wait a month or two for the next one. Trust me and try it. You'll see. A thoroughly good, fun and exciting read. As a totally red blooded male and normally a fan of SciFi and Military Space books, I totally recommend you give this and all Gen's books a go. You will not be disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Bloody brilliant
Another amazing addition to the series.
I devoured Alexander and Maiara’s story.
Mated so long ago, Alexander still can’t live without his mate.
Maiara was killed three hundred years ago. A healer amongst her people she was killed for her magical abilities.
Our much loved characters are on a quest to reunite with Alexander. They have to convince him to come with them.
A fairy is on their trail and will do anything to hand them over.
Such a fantastic addition. Pure genius

5.0 out of 5 stars Interesting read.
This was interesting with plenty of twists to keep it going. I liked seeing how the American based siblings had forged their way with help.
