The Dragon's Aide (Charmed Away Temp Agency Book 2) Kindle Edition
Isaac went against his family when he refused to join the military. He had dreams and he wasn’t going to cave to family pressure to give them up. So when his boss offers him an opportunity to get some real experience in the job he’s working toward, he leaps at the chance. The only problem is that his new boss is a grumpy dragon with a short fuse known to terrorize the office. But that wasn’t anything Isaac couldn’t handle. Right?
Maverick always had a temper. Most dragons did. It wasn’t something that affected his work. Until it did. Overworked, consistently dealing with incompetence, Maverick was at his wit’s end and in a last bid to keep his temper in check, he agreed with a recommendation to hire a temporary assistant to help him. But when the stubborn pink haired mage shows up, his dragon takes notice and suddenly, Maverick’s limited control has gone up in smoke. Now his career is on the line, and the only person willing to help him was the one who drove him over the edge. Things couldn’t get any worse. Right?

About the author

Amy is an introverted squish who loves Happily Ever Afters, Magic, and True Love. While she doesn't stick with one specific subgenre, her favorite tends to be fluffy paranormal romance. In between writing books (like several. At one time. Because squirrel.) Amy likes to read and play relaxing video games. Her kindle is stuffed with romance and she hoards trophy books on her shelves. You can find her most nights pretending to be fancy with a glass of sparkling cider and a good book.
Send her a message. She might be an introvert, but she won't resist being adopted by an extrovert.

- Reviewed in the United States on April 2, 2025I’m a sucker for a grump. I read both books in this series in just 1 day. I couldn’t put them down for the life of me. These books pulled me in and had me giggling and kicking my feet. I love how strong and stubborn Isaac is. He’s the perfect match for someone as hot headed and grumpy as Maverick. I’m so sad I finished these books as fast as I did. I will absolutely be reading this again. 100% recommend
- Reviewed in the United States on May 1, 2025This was a very cute book. I've always loved a good grump and then watching him melt for his person. That is the epitome of this book. Isaac's sass and Maverick's grumpiness were the highlights of this story. I enjoyed seeing these two get tangled up in each other.
This book would have benefited from more relationship development. I feel like most of the book was fairly slow in development and then 70% of the way through it hit light speed and didn't fully track. The ending also fizzled out in a very disappointing way. Despite these things, I did enjoy this world and the romance and magic. There were fun elements mixed in with some disappointing lack of development. Overall this was a fun book and I look forward to more books in this series.

A great book by Amy Padilla. Highly Recommended
- Reviewed in the United States on March 22, 2025These two are so beautifully volatile it’s adorable. The sass is hilarious and teaching a dragon manners is beyond brave…sometimes even reckless. I still think Alder had it coming and should have gotten it!
- Reviewed in the United States on February 9, 2025This is a new author for me and now one of my favorites! Dragons tend to be on my "read now" list so I tried this one. And it was great! I read straight through, only stopping for more coffee and loved it! And to top that off, the grammar is perfect! A winner! I immediately grabbed book one (didn't bother me to read them out of order) and I see that the author intends to write more stories in this series. I certainly hope that she writes fast! In the meantime, I am planning to try some of her other stories. I highly recommend this book.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 13, 2025Isaac is a great match for Maverick. I love when the smaller person is just as ready to throw hands, and has the power to back it up. Looking forward to the third book dropping soon!
Spice: 4/5

- Reviewed in the United States on February 5, 2025This was a funny, sweet and fun story. I liked how both characters were strong and smart. They both had some challenges, but neither was looking for someone else to "fix" them. The story was fun, lots of cute banter and great details. Also I work in an office and it's super realistic lol
- Reviewed in the United States on February 5, 2025If you’re looking for a Romance with magic, dare I say office intrigue? And a sexy dragon lawyer who meets his match in a powerful sorcerer who’s the new temp then look no further.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Best Bickering!
Oh, I giggled my way through this! I love how much they needle each other until they expose the deeper thoughts and emotions behind all the delicious snark. I was instantly smitten with the mage's brother, too, so I really want to hear that he gets the help he needs cause he deserves to be happy. But you know who doesn't? That dastardly professor! Pretty please write an epilogue of him publicly getting his comeuppance! I can't wait for the next one!

5.0 out of 5 stars Isaac & Maverick
Isaac is a mage that works for a temp agency while studying to be a lawyer. He starts working at Spellbound as Maverick’s assistant. Maverick is a dragon shifter that is overworked and grumpy. They slowly get to know each other and fall in love.
I love this story, that had a grumpy dragon and possessive mage.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Dragon’s Aide
I absofreakinglutely loved it. This is one of the best paranormal series I’ve read since LM’s CSG, DEA, and DIL book series.
Can be read as a stand-alone but I definitely recommend reading book one first.
I am eagerly waiting for the next book and the others after that.
Highly recommend.
I received a free copy of this book from the author and am voluntarily leaving a review. I also bought a forever copy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Definitely a book with heat
Another great read, following on from the first book. I found it really easy to immerse myself in the story, there were tears and there was laughter.
