Once I ruled the skies. My scales hardened against any weapons that mortals could bring to bear. Empires bowed to my might, and a single fiery breath from my tooth-filled maw could destroy armies. I was a god… but even divinity gets boring after a while, and so I went to sleep.

I awoke in a human form. Soft, squishy, and way too round for my own comfort. Gone were my scales and breath, and the magic that once fed my existence was now a trickle. I had become that over which I once ruled… a human. But at least it wasn't boring.

Now I put that final vestige of my once majestic nature to work creating stories for other humans to enjoy. To feed their imaginations and let them experience the glory I once lived.

    The first book was good and well paced but the MC is boring. Mild spoilers ahead:

    The MC has a alias as a bard but no charisma, doesn't use playing to gather more information, he will play one song then be done in a bar. Another MC that has to have a meaningful connection but has that connection in two days.

    Overall this is a junk read with tired tropes.

    Much as with the first book, I enjoyed the pacing, characters, setting, and evolving/expanding storyline of this one. At no time to me has the MC felt wildly OP, which I continue to enjoy, nothing is an automatic win, everything really needs to be fought and worked for.

    The steamy stuff takes up a little more of the book than I prefer, but that is as close to a complaint as I can muster.

    Really looking forward to book 3!

    Man this adventure just keeps getting better and better hopefully Crowe gets a sweet new guitar added to his collection or maybe one that has a way to transform into all the ones he had with different perks depending on the dungeon like summoning a band of kobolds or a swarm of spiders but I really want to see him get a second class next to his warlock skill set till then we wait for the third book to see what happens

    Well there is hardly any progression, author is skipping in any explanations, there is also the illogical part about princess falling for MC without any interactions or reason. I mean I get it that you need to have some spicy scenes but don't make them on the fly without a proper buildup, as good as first book was, this one is hardly worth the time invested. Deserves 2 stars but I am Not giving it less than 4 stars otherwise amazon gets too hard on authors.

    The only little points of critique K have with it are that some of the girls fall into the mc's lap a bit to fast/easily, and that the essence gain situation ks really not all that well or consintently explained.
