End Game (Kings of Campus) Kindle Edition
In this fun, sexy college romance, a transfer student finds herself living in a house full of football players—and falling for the one she knows she shouldn’t want.
Everleigh
Transferring to UC Santa Mira is supposed to be my ultimate college experience—until housing falls through at the last minute. So when I overhear a group of guys complaining they need another roommate, I jump at the opportunity.
They’re just football players. Even if one of them makes me weak in the knees, it doesn’t mean anything unless I let it. And I won’t.
We want different things. Wanting each other doesn’t change that.
Nico
It’s my senior year and final season with the Santa Mira Dolphins. The last thing I need is a distraction, but that’s exactly what this girl is. Ever is too leggy, too gorgeous, too thoughtful—and a whole lot of too much that gets under my skin.
I guess I get under hers too. I can’t help myself.
We live together. That alone makes it a bad idea…but I never could resist a little trouble.

- Reviewed in the United States on September 17, 2024This was a great start for a new series. I really liked ever and felt so bad for her not having an apartment last minute and all the other issues that happen. It was refreshing that she was brave to ask the guys about the apartment. Nico is a player. But he starts to have the real feeling for ever his roommate. I really love their chemistry. The plot was good and I really enjoyed it. I really like all the guys and can’t wait to get to read their stories like frank, cooper, sienna and Gavin. I can’t decide which one I am hoping is next. Monica Murphy is such a great author.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 17, 2024This is the first book in the Kings of Campus series by Monica Murphy and my first book by this author. Sports Romance and New Adult romance are my jam, so the blurb totally caught my attention and I would like to say that I was pleasantly surprised. Just a little FYI - if specific genres are your jam this also hits Forced Proximity, Roommates to Lovers, Opposites Attract, and specifically Football Romance.
Everleigh is a transfer student that found herself unexpectedly homeless after her housing fell through at her new university. While trying to rally and find herself a new place to stay, she overhears three guys talking about a room becoming available for rent and she approaches them in order to rent the room. (And this is the only part of the book where I was like....hmmmm, no college student I know would do this because she follows them home to ask about the room with no clue who they are or where they are going. I work on for a university and this goes against everything these ladies learn and are constantly told! SAFETY but I digress.)
Little does she know how much her life will change. Due to the agreement she made with the three guys, she quickly integrates into their lives, and she fits in pretty well. The relationship between Ever and Nico develops like a lot of real-life relationships - meaning the swoony romance some people expect in a romance novel seems a little played down. It felt more realistic with the attraction between the characters being the primary focus and Ever not wanting to settle for what all the other girls have had before her.
I like the roommate dynamic. I enjoyed that this was an engaging, quick read (an afternoon is all you need!) and I will be looking for the next book in the series. (Gotta see what happens to the roomies! Especially Frank - I hope he finds everything his heart desires.)
- Reviewed in the United States on October 2, 2024Great narration, but sadly that was the only great thing in this book.
The book all in all is good. Good characters, both main and supporting.
But the depth and emotion cone across as sophomoric. There are so many opportunities for this book to be great, but it's bogged down with repetative internal dialog that doesn't build much within the story.
I recommend as a mindless audio book for your daily commute.

- Reviewed in the United States on October 14, 20243.5 stars. I have loved this author for years and eagerly wait for each new release of hers. I'm sad this one didn't live up to the standard she's set with her previous books. This book is not bad; it just didn't feel like HER writing. I realize this is the first book of a new series and her first book with a new publisher. I hope the new publisher isn't stifling the author's creativity, but I have to wonder. And if they are stifling or limiting her, they need to stop. They're messing with greatness.
The premise of the book held a lot of potential --- college football romance, found family, roommates to lovers, reformed playboy. But everything felt surface level. The author usually has fleshed out characters who I feel like I know by the end of the book. She usually makes me desperately root for the couple to overcome their obstacles and earn their HEA. She usually delivers on a decent amount of steam/spice. I don't feel like I really know either of the main characters. I did want them together, but that's because it's a romance novel, not because I felt like the 2 characters were each other's soul mates. This story was much more slow burn than Monica's normal books. We don't get a kiss until after 50%. There are 2 spicy scenes (73% and 97%).
This book would be a great palate cleanser --- not too much drama, not too angsty, not too spicy. I just wasn't looking for a palate cleanser. I wanted to burn for these characters. So I'm sad I didn't. I am interested in the secondary characters that were introduced. So I'm hoping that whatever held Monica back with this book is obliterated before she writes the next one.
Don't judge this author's abilities based on this book, or you'll think she's a run of the mill romance author, when I promise she's so much more. Read her previous works. The stuff she's self published is phenomenal.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 23, 2024This is my first book by this author and I am definitely hooked. I really enjoyed reading Everleigh and Nico's story.
Everleigh really needs to find a place to stay before the semester at school starts and when she overhears some guys talking about a soare room she jumps at ir. Little did she know that it was with football players.
Nico is really focused on football and not looking for anything but is really hard with Ever being there. They both want to deny their attraction but you can tell there's chemistry between them. Will Ever and Nico be able to overcome everything that is holding them back? Need to read this to find out.
This is a slow burn book but I really enjoyed that. Also really enjoyed all the side characters and can't wait for more.

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved it
Nico melted my heart!! I love stories that get going straight away and this one was no different. Everleigh is in need of a room after she is let down and happens to overhear the boys needing to find a roommate. Nico is the ultimate playboy never wanting to settle down and not sure what to make of Everleigh but you see him melting as time goes on and there friendship builds. I loved Cooper, Dallas & Gav as the boys group who all brought something to this story. The friendship Everleigh builds with Sienna is so special and i loved it. This story had me and didn't want to let go and i can't wait to see what else this series is going to bring.

5.0 out of 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I love a good football romance and this had all the great elements. Sexy football players that are sweet too. A fun heroine who I'd like to befriend. Sports fun. This had it all and I hope we get more of this world.

4.0 out of 5 stars Cute, endearing characters!
“I want the one I can’t have. The one I shouldn’t touch. I’ve always been tempted by the forbidden.”
The End Game was a cute story about Ever and Nico.
We meet the king of the Campus- Nico, Dollar, Coop and Gav.
Ever moves to Santa Mira for a fresh start, after breaking up with her boyfriend. She wants more and prove that she can manage on her own.
She ends by renting a room in a house with the 3 kings of the campus- Nico, Coop and Dollar. She needs to stick to one rule only- she can’t fool around with one of her roommates!
However, when she finds herself near Nico… sparks…attraction.
Nico is the star of the campus and of his football team.
Nico can get any woman with his panty melting smile hit Ever… he can’t commit, wants to have fun but Ever is different…
I love Nico and his relationship with the guys , especially with Coop. I need to know more about Coop as he’s an intriguing character.
Dollar… I really felt for him and he deserves his HEA!!
What about Sienna?
I wish Ever had made up her mind sooner about Nico as I was annoyed with Will she? Won’t she?
Overall , an enjoyable read with fabulous new characters that deserve their stories!

3.0 out of 5 stars Lacklustre
I usually love Monica’s books, but compared to others in this genre this one was lacking. Her characters just didn’t have any oomph or character.
Loads of potential for a book in this college genre, this one didn’t come close to others this time.

3.0 out of 5 stars good but wouldn’t read again.
Definitely slow burn and a lot of miscommunication that could have easily avoided. It’s a good book but I wouldn’t read it again. It’s very dragged out and the ending whilst sweet wasn’t enough. It would have been nice to have done an epilogue that doesn’t need to include marriage or babies but how did the rest of their senior year go? Did they win the championship? Did he go pro? Lots of unanswered questions.
