Anarchist: An Isekai LitRPG Adventure (Ends of Magic Book 4) Kindle Edition

4.7 4.7 out of 5 stars 414 ratings

The Empire of Giantsrest must fall.

With an army marching on the liberated city of Halsmet, Nathan and his allies are prepared to fight to the death. Giantsrest may have overwhelming magical might, helmed by the nearly immortal archmage Badud – but Nathan has a few tricks of his own.

To win the war that will follow, Nathan must risk it all. With his skills as an antimage and assassin, he will disguise himself behind enemy lines, attacking where Giantsrest least expects it , in the capital – the political heart of their power, where mages jockey for status. But one wrong move would spell failure and place Gemore in the crosshairs. Striking from the shadows, he must defeat his targets and uncover the secrets of the Academy before his time runs out.

Even if he fails, Nathan is sure of one thing.

His enemies will learn to fear the antimage.

Ends of Magic is a best-rated serialized novel on Royal Road with thousands of followers and over a million views. Now professionally edited and available on Amazon and Audible narrated by Phil Thron.

Nathan is summoned to Davrar for his valuable Insights pertaining to science and engineering.

He's a stem cell biology PhD student, but his understanding is as far-reaching as his insatiable thirst for knowledge. Math. Physics. Biology. Chemistry. Nathan could teach college classes on all of them.

In a world where Insights unlock very real power, Nathan soon realizes his esoteric knowledge for the weapon it is. He can leverage it to both teach new forms of magic and recreate Earth technology.

But Nathan won't be content with using what he already knows from Earth. Davrar is a broken world with a forgotten past. Another world hangs above it, always visible, its continents and oceans shifting behind the blue of the sky. It's a world decimated by apocalyptic Endings that usher in calamity and stomp out civilization, cyclically resetting progress. The many races on Davrar all struggle to advance as far as they can to withstand the inclement destruction... but all have failed.

Nathan intends to understand it all.

Endings be damned.

Alexander Olson first knew he wanted to be a scientist when his dad taught him how to capture hydrogen gas with foil, batteries, and water. He grew up in Colorado, got his bachelors in chemistry and biology from a small engineering school in Southern California and his PhD in biochemistry from a larger school in Boston. Now he works full-time in science, the closest thing to magic he can achieve in this world.

His love of magic came from escaping into fantastical stories as a child, where he could explore worlds that stretch to the limits of imagination. He first delved into creating his own stories by running multiple tabletop roleplaying games. Eventually he decided to write the story he wanted to read.

This part of the Ends of Magic saga is an incredibly cathartic payoff of many threads from books 1-3. The series continues to be fantastically written with a clever and engaging magic system, and everyone who enjoys fantasy in the slightest should read books 1-3 and then absolutely devour Anarchist.

There will never be anything quite like this book series. I will always remember this author and hope they continue to write books like this. The character development was outstanding. They had their morals pushed to the limits and they either had to change or stand true to them. 10 out of 10

Love this series overall, this book was fantastic too. Thankfully this book didn't make the same mistake as the third one and end just before the climax otherwise I'd have dropped the series for incredibly poor writing choices. This book however was done well, characters were awesome, plot, everything. Worth reading this series
