Aspirant: An Isekai LitRPG Adventure (Ends of Magic Book 5) Kindle Edition
The Ascendant Academy has fallen, but Nathan's journey is just beginning.
He has a mission – to journey across Davrar to find Sarya Pamaris, a friendly Questor who can begin to answer his questions. Hopefully she will reveal to him the secrets of the Endings, and how to stop them.
On the way, Nathan and his friends must contend with the remnants of Giantsrest, the catspaws of Questors and above all the terrifying dangers of Davrar itself. They have risen to the level of the elites, and that means those threats have noticed them. Because on Davrar, Nathan is sure of one thing.
There's always another danger over the horizon.

About the author

Alexander Olson first knew he wanted to be a scientist when his dad taught him how to capture hydrogen gas with foil, batteries, and water. He grew up in Colorado, got his bachelors in chemistry and biology from a small engineering school in Southern California and his PhD in biochemistry from a larger school in Boston. Now he works full-time in science, the closest thing to magic he can achieve in this world.
His love of magic came from escaping into fantastical stories as a child, where he could explore worlds that stretch to the limits of imagination. He first delved into creating his own stories by running multiple tabletop roleplaying games. Eventually he decided to write the story he wanted to read.

- Reviewed in the United States on February 11, 2025If I could somehow discover my spirit animal was a grizzly bear, then find a way to make a transformation of reality to become that ferocious beast, I would...If only to start hibernating now and wake only when next book is released!
And maybe catch a fresh salmon or two....
- Reviewed in the United States on February 12, 2025The saga continues with the same level of quality I've come to expect from this author. A well paced journey with enjoyable characters and fun action pieces that never get the point of over indulgence. Thanks for the great read!
- Reviewed in the United States on February 1, 2025Honestly, I think this series just keeps getting better.
Love that some of the hints we've gotten about Davrar finally got answers, and we got some satisfying progression and new lands.
Will definitely be reading the next book.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 30, 2025I absolutely loved this latest book, it gets into some of why the political forces operate, and shows exactly how big the future problems the heros will face. Absolutely recommend this series
- Reviewed in the United States on January 30, 2025Another excellent installment of the series! The premise is unique, with great world building to support it.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 29, 2025Most LitRPGs are somewhere between "meh" and mediocre. This one is truly amazing. It's in my top 3 for sure. Great job, author! Please keep the books coming.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 28, 2025Amazing as the rest of this series and looking forward to book 6. This series is truly one of its kind and scratches an itch no other can
- Reviewed in the United States on February 19, 2025As the title says. The story is mostly hindered by Nathans morals and ideals. For example, around nuclear energy. It's tiresome to read and it's repeated every book. Also, he never seems to question some important things. If he is an antimage and not even wizardry works around him, how does he fly? What's beyond wizardry? I also don't like his group. He way out levels and powers them yet he stays with them. Why?
I stopped r adong around 30%. It's not a bad story. I just can't take Nathan anymore.

5.0 out of 5 stars Continued excellence
Every single one of these books, I'm absolutely drawn in and struggle to put it down. The knowledge and experience all weaved throughout the story makes it even more gripping, with great, consistent character growth in an incredibly interesting world that it seems is only just getting started.
One of my favourite series to date.

5.0 out of 5 stars Escalating Storyline … Interesting
Been enjoying this series for awhile, loving the escalating storyline as it seems this book is ending one arc and beginning another. Looking forward to the next book.
