About the authors
When not writing fiction, Bernard McGhee works on the editing desk of a busy newsroom, which provides a constant source of inspiration for horror and other stories of unusual mayhem. His work has appeared in “Apparition Literary Magazine,” “Cosmic Horror Monthly” and the anthology “Nightmare Sky: Stories of Astronomical Horror.” He was raised in the New Orleans area but has lived all around the country. He currently lives in the Atlanta area and spends too much time watching horror movies and listening to death metal. You can follow him on X at @BMcGhee13.
Tamika is author of THE CURSE OF HESTER GARDENS (Erewhon/Kensington, 2026) and Next Generation Indie Book Awards Horror Winner, UNSHOD, CACKLING, and NAKED, which Publishers Weekly calls "powerful," "unsettling," and "terrifying," as well as author of SALAMANDER JUSTICE, and fiction editor for Foreword INDIES Award-winning anthology, GRAFFITI. Her work has appeared in several speculative fiction anthologies as well as in Interzone, Prairie Schooner, The New York Times, and Los Angeles Review of Books, among others. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Columbia University and a Master of Arts in Journalism from the University of Southern California. She lives in the San Francisco Bay Area, where she hosts her own blog and newsletter, Tamika Talks Terror.
Curtis A. Deeter is an author of fantasy, science fiction, and horror. He lives in Ohio with his beautiful wife, Danielle, and his insanely, mad-scientist-level genius son, Theodore. When he is not writing, he can be found reading, discovering new music, and taste-testing craft beer at local breweries.

Phrique /frēk/ noun.
1. An exhibition, a strange deviation from nature. Adorable, Evil.
2. An extremely new and extremely YOUNG splatterpunk/extreme horror author with stories to tell. They’re kinda scary, kinda graphic, kinda campy, kinda stupid, kinda random. Kinda like him.
3. Phrique is a Pisces who enjoys crying and taking baths. His hobbies include angering the townspeople and outliving his enemies. His favorite color is purple & his favorite state is "your mom." Everything frightens him. Who are you people and who let you in here? Unhand me.
He can be found escaping his responsibilities here:

Zaq Cass is a rabid consumer of all things horror, spending his nights haunting an old factory and his days under the watchful eyes of several chickens. Alongside his wife, he lives in Indiana keeping four children content in the chaos they create. In what little free time he has, Zaq has started a small horror press and occasionally writes his own stories.
Jyl Glenn, the Curator of Chaos, is a writer, editor, formatter, anthologist, poet, and a medical-legal writer and consultant. Her lifelong love affair with horror began at a very early age when she was left unattended on the weekend Poltergeist debuted on HBO. And then she figured out she could read any horror book she liked as long as she hung out at the public library, even if the librarian deemed it not to be age appropriate. Jyl was born and raised in New York and now lives in Tulsa with her dog. She loves creepy art, dark poetry, and pink dinosaurs. When she isn’t dabbling in the macabre—she’s most likely asleep.

Elizabeth Devecchi spent her formative years in Rhode Island before setting out to gather degrees and experiences. She writes in a variety of genres and styles, but horror holds a special place in her heart.

Wicked House Publishing released Elizabeth’s debut horror novel, A WHISPER IN THE DARK, in October 2024.
Upcoming releases will include: short horror story “Open House,” to appear in a Running Wild Press anthology in 2025; and thriller/suspense novel, A TWIST OF THE LENS, to be published by Wicked House Publishing in mid-2025.
Elizabeth is a member of the Horror Writer’s Association, Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers, and Italian American Writers Association. She currently resides in Colorado with her family, which includes an ever-changing menagerie of pets and “guest creatures.”
Lindsey Goddard is an author of dark fiction, poetry, and true crime, living in Missouri, whose short stories have been published in e-zines such as Gamut Magazine and Carnage House, as well as in anthologies such as Error Code (Riverfolk Books).
