Every time I read a book by Molly it never disappoints. Dare I say I believe Callum and Lea may be one of my favorite couples so far. I love how strong headed and feisty Lea is and how Callum loves her just the way she is!

I read a lot of books and this fast paced read kept me up late with excellent plotting. I needed to know how it ended. The author set it up perfectly for the second book without leaving the reader frustrated by a cliff hanger. The writing was technically very good and the editing is top notch.

This was a fabulous story. How Callum and Lea met was cute. Callum being hired to protect a son, then find the son's killer. For Callum to find out it was Lea, and then his need to protect her, before they even formed any kind of relationship, was beautiful. Now Lea needs him to help her save her brother Leo's girl. I can't wait to find out what happens.

Talk about a tough main female character! Lea Bonifacio is a travel nurse to her family and friends, but to a select few she is known as the Ferryman - the assassin persona held by her and her twin brother Leo. But her neat and tidy world begin to unravel when she meets Callum MacLachlan, founder of Caledonia Security. I loved the interplay between Lea and Callum, there were so many different types of tension - intrigue, chemistry, and action. This plot was filled with action and the I loved that the humor relief came from more than just the side characters, Lea is a wealth of one-liners and zingers.
Highly recommend this book! All the books written in the same universe, so you have the chance to see the characters you love again and again - cannot wait to read all of the books in Briar-verse.
The plot line does carry into the next book, Exposing Adonis, and cannot be read as a standalone.

I enjoyed this. It was interesting and had a good storyline. I loved getting to know the characters, even the side characters that didn't make many appearances in the story were interesting, and all of them made me want to know more about them.
An incredibly slow burn, which I appreciate. I don't always like a slow burn, but it happened exactly at the speed it should have, in line with the story. Rushing it would have honestly ruined the whole book. The spice, once it did happen, was wonderful.
It was descriptive without it feeling like too much time was wasted on describing the surroundings.
I was able to feel the emotions the characters felt, their guilt, responsibility, love, all of it. I can't wait to read the rest of the series.

This was my first time reading Molly's work and it was great! the story was well developed and it had a great mixture of suspense, humor, and spice. Both the MMC and the FMC had excellent development and pulled and pushed each other magically.

My only wish is that some of the spicy had been more spread out through the book. The characters had more of a slow burn courtship but I felt considering how great Molly does the spice that the slow burned could have edged us all a little more. overall a wonderful read! I can't wait for Gordie.

After reading Iron Rose, there's not a doubt in my mind, I'll be along for the ride, to anything written by this author.

    Now, let's unpack.
I did give this 5 stars, although it didn't quite reach its potential, so overall on the story, it's 4,5 for me, spice was good, but I had no clue what to expect considering Lea's an assassin, so will she, won't she?
The sibling banter was adorable, their obvious differences left me hungry for Leo's book, I have to know how he's so... You know, chill?
Brett had me laughing, I'm sorry what? Poor Lea, having to suffer his presence, those scenes were absolute entertainment.
However, I wanted more b!oodshed, and probably a bit more on Callum's character development, something felt too familiar.

Mind you, if you read Iron Rose before this, it takes place before those events.

Ooh this is good. An assassin (and her twin brother), an alpha and a fast paced story that is very hard to put down.
Lea is one tough, seriously good assassin, paid to kill a man Callum is paid to keep alive. It's one a cute meet.
Love these two and ready to jump into the next book to find out what the tough Californian and the Scottish lord get up to.
