What can I say about me? I have two boys who keep me on my toes and a cat who adopted us. She walked in one day and hasn’t left. We might be getting a dog too. Who knows?

I love to read about men in love. Flawed, but strong men, who need some TLC and find their happy ending. I love to write about those same type of men too, sometimes with added kink! I also love to read horrors, thrillers and crime novels.

When I’m not trying to keep my boys in line, or writing about hot sexy men, I like to work on my allotment. I also like to read, to take walks in the countryside, and visit historical places. Recently, we went to Stonehenge and Avebury. It was an amazing experience.

    I have read a lot of daddy/boy romances. This one has a solid story and no insta love. Nothing wrong with insta love just like something more involved sometimes. Characters are well developed and you buy them falling in love. Enough organic for telling of the next story or future couples to get you wanting to read the next book. Did not over explain the bdsm but gave just as much as was needed for the story. Good story teller. What was most unexpected to me was that she has a lot of books out in genres that I read and yet she had never shown up in my amazon search before. Not sure why but it was good and I look forward to reading the next in the series.

    I think this book could be a decent introduction to age play. It wasn’t bad, it was just kind of slow for my tastes considering the length of the book. It took Day a long time to be comfortable with the idea of finally being a boy and while I applaud the author in showing how not everyone is ready to just jump into an age play relationship, it took longer than I felt it necessary since Day already knew it was something he wanted.

    While the ‘misunderstanding’ at about 80% was not unheard of, I thought Zach’s reaction was juvenile and at the same time it reminds us that just because he’s a Dom doesn’t mean he’s perfect.

    This was a good little first book in what will clearly be minimally as D/s and likely a DD/lb series. I will say if you like hot club scenes and voyeurism, read the book. Honestly though I don’t really feel like I know the characters or their motivations beyond that Zach didn’t feel like he could fulfill his previous partners expectations. His reaction in a pivotal scene that leads to the main “conflict” of the story is just immature. Frankly, he and his business partners in BDSM club—all of whom are Doms and Daddy Doms—are childish and immature. They don’t feel like fully realized characters. There’s a lot of set up for future stories in this short read, which make us miss out of really seeing Day and Zach develop in their relationship. Also content warning: there is some aspects of the narrative that are pretty closely tied with victim blaming that seems to just be thrown off as normative and are pretty toxic. While I’ve shared these concerns, I’ll still likely read the next books because I do want to know how those threads that were laid here are woven into the next books. I’m hoping these Doms grow up.

    Daddy/boy is one of my favorite reads. This is a good story that follows a boy new to the scene and a Daddy that help him discover his little side. I enjoyed getting to know Day and Zach and all their friends. I do look forward to more books in this series.

    My only criticism is there were a number of proofing errors that took me out of the story and I had to reread parts to make sure I was following correctly.

    I love how patient Zach is. I definitely think he should have told Day the rules from the start and they wouldn't have ended up split for a few days. Dayton is an interesting boy. I hope his friends find what they are looking for.

    Dieses Buch war zwar nicht schlecht, ich hatte aber, da ich die Salutem-Serie der Autorin sehr liebe, irgendwie mehr erwartet. Grade auch weil mich die potentielle Geschichte sehr angesprochen hat und ich Age Play-Bücher sehr gern lese. Vielleicht waren meine Erwartungen einfach zu hoch. Werde aber auf jeden Fall den zweiten Teil der Reihe auch lesen, sobald er rauskommt. Vielleicht war es einfach ein schwieriger Anfang, an sich hat das Ganze nämlich durchaus Potential.

    I’m not a huge fan of age play, and diapers are a hard pass, but this had some cute moments. I was looking forward to the next book, but TG the author mentioned that Gabriel is into diapering so - nope.
    This book helped clarify that I enjoy Daddy/brat dynamics with little to no age play, and more focus on a sassy brat/ sub , who knows how to tease his Dom, and a dominant/ Alpha type , who lives to give his sub what he needs most.
    Good to know.
    I enjoyed the club atmosphere, and the relationship of the men who run it.
    The writing was alright and I finished it without too much much skimming.
    It has good bones, but I would have enjoyed seeing a little more insight to the thoughts and a bit more physical description.
    Book was not riddled with typos and had a character driven plot. I would have enjoyed seeing the ex experience a bit of surprise, and perhaps a tinge of jealousy at how happy Zach and Day are - it would have been satisfying after Zach being so hurt, despite Zach’s unselfish and altruistic behaviour, in helping him find Lake. But that is just an opinion.

    This was a really sweet low angst Daddy Dom story. Day is new to the BDSM scene, but Zach is only too happy to help him learn.
    Saying that Day might be new to the scene, but he’s mostly comfortable in his skin, not someone looking for aDom to control his every mood.
