Sing with Me (Fellside Mountain Rescue Book 2) Kindle Edition

4.2 4.2 out of 5 stars 47 ratings

Phil
What do you do when your natural instincts tell you to run when the woman of your dreams approaches you? Sometimes I loathe being an introvert, especially around women. Christina is sassy and exciting, the complete opposite of me. Strangely, that's what draws me to her. If only I could stop myself from fleeing and instead take a chance.

Christina
Phil, or as I affectionately call him, Bambi, is driving me crazy. Deep down, I'm convinced we're meant for each other, but he freezes up whenever I so much as smile in his direction. Little does he know, I've glimpsed another side of him, and I'm certain he's the man a woman wants in her life. The question is, how can I convince him to give us a chance?

Sing with Me is a small town, opposites attract romance.

This steamy romance is part of a series set in a shared world, but you don’t need to have read the others to enjoy it. Each story stands alone, though you might spot a few familiar faces along the way!

It contains adult content, please read the content warnings. The book is set in the north of England and written in British English.

Phil and Christina’s love story is a sweet, quick read. I loved that they bonded through music and that while Phil is a shy introvert, Christina is an outgoing extrovert and they balance each other out. This book does have spicy scenes and some language for those who might be sensitive to either.

This second novella in the Fellside Mountain Rescue series follows Christina and Phil. In this opposites attract, small town romance, Phil is the incredibly shy one while Christina is outgoing.

I love that it’s the MMC that is shy in this novella, and the FMC is outgoing. It’s a nice change of pace from the usual. And the first date. Hells bells. Christina was a lot nicer than I would have been.

I do think the drama between to two characters was a little forced and over-reactive but that’s hard to avoid in short stories so I can’t hold it against the author. If you’re looking for a short, sweet read with a teeny bit of spice, pick this one up!

I never read books where the female lead is the more forward one in the relationship and the male lead is shy but I was enjoying this story until Christina suddenly freaks out that Phil won’t do something for her that he literally said he couldn’t do before agreeing to help just her. Then there’s no real talking or making up just a run together and apology from both. He shouldn’t have even needed to apologize for saying no to something he said he couldn’t do from the beginning.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is the second book in this series, and this is Phil and Christina’s story. Phil is a shy introvert, while Christina is brash, bubbly, loud, and determined. These two may be total opposites, but they complement each other perfectly. This is a well written fast paced, quick read, with family, friendships, challenges, humor, emotions, and love, which leads to an entertaining page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

I know that technically you can read these all as stand alones, but I think they work so much better as a series. I loved seeing each member of the FMR find their one true match. This one was another one that was only 82 pages long but man you wouldn't realize it as you read. It's over far to fast. But it's another wonderful romance full of story and thought and spice. I had a blast reading it.

Sing With Me is book 2 in the Fellside Mountain Rescue series. We were introduced to the main characters in the first book - Christina, Emma’s bestie and Phil, Alex’s best buddy. This can be read as a stand alone however, I think it’s better after reading the first one. I loved the addition of Grampy, Phil’s grandfather.

These two are complete opposites. Christina is an extrovert. Phil is an introvert. Christina is confident. Phil prefers to hide behind the scenes. But, I think together they are perfect. They balance each other out. However, the path to get there was complicated.

Between Phil almost blowing it on the first date and then their argument, I thought all hope was lost for this couple. Good thing Phil came through and made things right.

This is a quick paced story and not many spice scenes. The actual story more than made up for that.

Phil is most comfortable when he doesn’t draw attention to himself, so he is nervous when Christina makes her feelings for him clear. He is attracted to her, but it is only when he sees the softer side of her that he gives in to his feelings, even if he isn’t certain she will be able to accept him as he is.

Although Christina enjoys being the center of attention, she is drawn to Phil in a way she never expected. The chemistry between them is undeniable but when she asks him a favor he is uncomfortable granting will they be able to work through it or will they have to walk away?

I enjoyed seeing Phil and Christina work through their differences and realize that what really matters is each other.

"I had to leave. Your beauty literally took my breath away. I had to get out of the shop as I felt I couldn't breathe as long as I was near you."

Sing with me is the second book in the Fellside Mountain Series and wow I am loving this series. Phil is quiet and reserved, doesn't like attention on himself. Christina is loud and outspoken. As we saw in the first book she likes Phil and tried to go after him. In Sing With Me we see how Phil slowly gets over his anxiety with Christina and gives her a chance. I love Grampy, his personality was perfect and made me relate to the relationship Phil has with his grandpa. I really liked this story, I wish it was longer because I wanted more of Phil and Christina.

I'm excited to read the next book in the series.

Shy guy Phil has never been one for the spotlight, and when outgoing Christina sets her sights on him, it's more than he can bear. But she is patient and they give each other a chance. Phil might be shy on the street but the man turns up the heat in the sheets.
