BL Maxwell grew up in a small town listening to her grandfather spin tales about his childhood. Later she became an avid reader and after a certain vampire series she became obsessed with fanfiction. She soon discovered Slash fanfiction and later discovered the MM genre and was hooked.
Many years later, she decided to take the plunge and write down some of the stories that seem to run through her head late at night when she's trying to sleep.

    I really loved this set of stories about three couples in a universe where the shifter population is afflicted with an inexplicable deadly disease. In the first story, Marrok, focused on researching and finding a cure for the disease, learns that his best friend Grady from another Pack is dying from the disease and offers to help Zander, the Alpha of Grady’s pack, try to find a solution. The second story follows Grady’s story which involves Max from a third and troubled pack. And the third story is about Luca and Diesel from Zander’s pack as they fight to protect Zander and the shifter population. All three stories are filled with great storylines, wonderful characters, mystery, action, and of course fantastic chemistry and heat between the main characters. I couldn’t put it down and highly recommend it!

    This is a great series, focusing on packs of wolf shifters facing a terrible, deadly disease (appropriately named The Slow Death) which forces uncontrolled, painful shifts and eventually death. The only help is blood transfusions from a perfect matching donor. Adding to the rarity of perfect donors is fighting and treachery between the packs that limits access to information and donors. Against this backdrop, several individuals fight to share information that may save lives and help eradicate TSD. Along the way, three couples find their mates and true love. Great reading (or listening to the audiobooks).

    Four packs of wolf shifters, who each have their own territories, all are affected by a rare blood disorder. There is no cure but the ones affected can live a normal life with blood transfusions by shifters who are compatible with the ones who are ill. They end up where they have to go to each others territories to get compatible donors. A long the way they find love and friendships and how to trust each other's packs. They also find someone in one of the packs want to take over all the territories. I really enjoyed this series.

    I enjoyed each one of this story’s individually and they are very good. The story was enjoyable and the characters entertaining. It was easy to follow the storylines and love the characters. I also enjoyed this in audio and they were wonderfully narrated.

    I really enjoyed this series. I was so excited that all of these books are now together. This was such a great series. The world building was so good and the characters were so wonderful. I absolutely loved reading all of these.

    I love these books.
    ---The Slow Death---Alexander Kingston soon to be alpha of the East territory. Not something that he wanted. A deadly blood disorder called the slow death. It is affecting his friend and he is mad at his father's stubbornness not to get help from the West territory. Marrok Blain is from the North territory and has extensive knowledge on the disease and is their to help his friend. Can Zander and Marrok beat the clock and save their friend? Will they find love with one another that could save one of them?
    ---The Ultimate Sacrifice---Grady Summerville has the slow death and has accept he may die. Until his friend Marrok finds a donor named Max Steele in the West territory. Grady owes Max everything. Max and Grady didn't imagine they'd fall for each other. Tensions rise between the East and West territories. Max is torn between his loyalty to his pack and Grady. Will Max choose to make the ultimate sacrifice?
    ---The Final Salvation---Luca Bassani is a IT guru and also the blood donor for the pack alpha Zander Kingston . The threat the West Territory poses to the East Territory is great. Diesel Jones is a enforcer and is assigned to protect Luca. Luca and Diesel fight the attraction they have for each other. They are fated mates. When Luca is taken will Diesel and the East Territory be able to get him back before its to late?

    I was fortunate to read these individually and I'm so excited to see it all together for a seamless read.
    This was a great shifter series with a backdrop of a horrific disease decimating the packs.
    Throughout searching for a cure we find shifters racing the clock for a cure, finding their mates, the issues that stem from that and of course the political intrigue and drama of pack life.
