    What a Christmas romance!! These characters were so endearing and so perfect for each other right from the start. I loved Josh and Sadie and their journey to forever. After meeting in the local diner, Josh comes up with an arrangement to help Sadie love Christmas which will help her work, and she will be his fake girlfriend, to help with his family. Overall his family was actually pretty great except for some bad apples that like drama, but I can see why he wanted a pretend relationship. Although pretend doesn’t really last very long thankfully because this couple was fantastic.

    There were so many sweet and funny moments in this book. I loved Josh’s personality and sense of humor. I also loved how he instantly knew what his girl needed and did his best to deliver for her. A little drama caused by OW but not an ex or anything like that, just family members who think they poop roses. A great build up to steamy scenes, a culmination of lies and consequences, which lead to a perfect ending. Definitely recommend reading this for Christmas or if you are in the mood for a wonderful fake relationship romance any time of the year.

    Safe. No ow/om drama. H’s past isn’t really mentioned and the h is a virgin. The H’s cousin in law tries to cause drama but it is settled pretty quickly. No abuse or cheating.

    Fake Christmas Girlfriend is the fifth book in the Fake to Real series and it is a sweet and cuddly story. Sadie Sheppard has not had a great Christmas since her parents died and she went to live with her two bachelor uncle. They begrudgingly took her in and she always felt like a burden to them. So this holiday she is planning on just working as she takes pictures that people use in an app as backdrops. Josh Cutler is in need of a girlfriend/fiancee to take to his family's Christmas celebration weekend or his mother will once again try to set him up with someone she thinks is appropriate. Josh and his older brother Dylan grew up mainly with their live-wire grandmother in Holly Valley, as his parents were always flying off somewhere in the world. The family is very wealth and he lived the playboy lifestyle for years but has changed over the last few years to wanting something more meaningful and deep, both in a relationship and in life. Sadie and Josh meet one night at a diner when she asks if she can take a pictures of his hands. He agrees and they get to talking. It seems that they might be able to help each other out and a fake engagement plan is agreed upon. But with the twinkling lights and Christmas cheer Santa may just grant them both what their hearts desires.....or it may take a boot up the backside from Josh's grandmother to finally get things right.
    I loved this story. It was a great read with a mix of emotions flying, but not a huge heartstrings puller. I really loved the grandmother and I can't wait to see what happens with Dylan's story.

    Fake Christmas Girlfriend is a short and steamy instalove, OTT, Christmas themed, age-gap, girl gets her hunk romance. Sadie is an orphan and young photographer who takes seasonal pictures for a productivity app. Josh is a hunky, older computer programmer. When she approaches him in a diner to take his picture, the two are attracted to each other. As they are talking, Josh mentions going home for Christmas and ends up asking her to be his fake girlfriend for the holidays, and she agrees. But it's clear that neither wants the relationship to be fake. The chemistry was hot. There is a little drama, and then we get a great HEA. I loved how Josh just wanted to take care of Sadie and be her person. This was a really enjoyable Christmas romance. I'm excited Dylan is getting a book, too!!.

    I loved reading this holiday novella! Haley Travis does an amazing job getting Sadie and Josh to meet. It was the most unusual meet cute but for the book it worked so well! Sadie basically grew up with very little affection. Josh’s family almost overdoes holidays because they live in a holiday town. Trying to get his family off his back about settling down, Josh decides in a matter of moments to get a a fake girlfriend to take with him. When he asks Sadie to accompany him to his hometown for the holidays, she decides to take a chance and go with him.
    This book was funny and heartfelt. I found this author quite by accident and I am so glad that I did!.
