Falling For Holly (Angel's Lake Book 6) Kindle Edition
In an effort to prove she hasn't fallen into a rut, Holly Schwartz makes a list of five adventurous things she'll do this holiday season. First on the list? A tattoo.
Tattoo artist, Cash Jones is proud of his shop on the outskirts of Angel's Lake. As someone who grew up fighting for every victory, he's a bit of a loner. When Holly walks into his shop, both of them are caught off guard by the immediate, and powerful attraction.
She's looking for someone to help make her life more complete. He's wary of letting anyone in. The more time they spend together, the more they realize that falling in love isn't always a choice.
The question is, what are they going to do about it?

- Reviewed in the United States on December 22, 2022Jody Guilford has blended a genuinely sweet love story with enough mutual growth in the characters to make a story that is realistic and makes the reader embrace the whole package! A fun uplifting read!
- Reviewed in the United States on November 13, 2020I really enjoyed this story. Holly makes a list of things to do in order to be less boring. The first thing on her list: get a tattoo. Little does she know that her life will be forever changed when she meets Cash.
Cash is a tattoo artist who doesn’t open himself up to being hurt. A night of fun is all he offers. When Holly gets a tattoo he can tell she isn’t in her comfort zone but can’t deny that he is attracted or that there is chemistry.
This was an instant attraction story but both characters had rough backgrounds. Cash opening up to her was great, as well as him letting his wall lower. I was frustrated that she held a very important part of herself from him and when it came to light she didn’t react well.
The interactions between Cash and Holly were wonderful. You could feel the sparks through the pages. The grand gesture could have been a little grander in my opinion. Overall, this was a wonderful Christmas holiday book.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest, voluntary review.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 19, 2020Holly stopped by a tattoo shop that Cash ran, looking to cross off the first of five things she wanted to dare herself to do so she would not be boring, as her ex had stated once. The meaningful tattoo he added to her wrist was the start of something so strong that it breaks through both their barriers and bad histories. The two characters are strong and have survived so much, but both feel not worthy of happiness and companionship. They start daring each other to do things, like going to a Christmas tree lighting in town center and to each others business Christmas parties. Tension and miscommunication builds when her dad shows up one night, drunk as usual, and she is so embarrassed to have Cash see him and know her family secrets. The ending is so strong and terrific in every way.

- Reviewed in the United States on November 12, 2020I received an ARC from the author thru Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving my review. Holly and Cash have a sweet love story full of emotion. A simple list starts off a world of change for these two. The moment they see each other, there is amazing attraction. They make the cutest couple that complete each other very well. This was well written short story and I did not want to put it down.

- Reviewed in the United States on November 13, 2020I stumbled upon this book by searching for "clean holiday romance" in the search bar. This book popped up and I was a bit perplexed. The cover indicated that this would have explicit details of the 2 main characters hooking up. Yet, it did not. So, judging this particular book by its cover would be wrong. (Of course, the male model chosen to represent Cash is really, really hot.)
I really enjoyed this story. I loved Holly's determination to get out of her comfort zone. I thought Cash's character was a paradox. He had this tough exterior, but as their story progresses, he finds himself feeling things that once would have been pushed to the abyss.
Just an FYI - while there are no explicit and details of their hooking up, there are curse words throughout the book. There aren't many, but they are in the book.

Reading the blurb and then seeing the the cover I knew I needed to read this one. I loved it was set during Christmas. That was a huge draw for me too. I can't tell you how much I loved Holly and Cash. They are so adorable together. Holly softens Cash's hard edges. One of my favorite parts of the book was how Holly brought the love of the holiday back to Cash. Cash's backstory is one that hits you in the heart, but to see the man he became is a testament to his true character. This book just made me happy. It's a perfect example of the magic of the holiday season. I would so recommend this one. It's a fast read, but one that is oh so enjoyable.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 13, 2020A small town love story.
Holly who believes she is boring makes a list and on that list she decides to be adventurous and get a tattoo. Holly meets Cash Jones. Cash is a incredibly hot tattoo shop owner who is a loner. He helps her and in return falls in love and gets into the holiday spirit.
Jody writes these amazing stories that Hallmark should base movies about. Her words play out like movies.
I highly recommend all her books and Falling for Holly is the perfect Christmas book with some folks from Angel’s Lake.
