I was swept away by the lovely characters in this story and the coastal setting as well. Tess Gilmore is a single mother with a lot on her plate. She has a job that is unfulfilling and her boss has no respect for her. Her children sure do keep her on her feet and pull her in many directions. But, then Tess hears from her aunt Kit who lives on the coast of Maine, where Tess had spent her summers years ago. Kit tells Tess of an employment opportunity and suggests a perfect place to live. How can she resist? They say goodbye to Connecticut and head to Seahaven, Maine. This sets the scene for lots of adventure, drama, heartache, but also joy and maybe even romance. Jump into the novel and I believe you will will be enchanted with the town and all the fun, quirky characters who live there. I truly enjoyed this story and am happy to know that there is another book on the horizon.

I highly recommend this book! I devoured it in two days, mostly on my deck in the beautiful weather. It was such a feel good story. I adore the characters and am so happy this is going to be a series because I want MORE!!! The relationships between the characters got so ingrained on my heart. I wanted to be in the story with them. At their get-togethers. In their conversations. Their personalities are ones you think about long after the story is over. Anne Marie has a way with her language that's so memorable. The references in the story (Anne of Green Gables, Gilmore Girls, Nancy Drew, Emily Dickinson quote, Nina Simone song, etc.) are so relatable. I just can't say enough wonderful things about this book. I LOVED that storyline a lot. I want to move to Maine now. LOL. READ. THIS. BOOK.
