Feral (The Wrong Alpha Book 2) Kindle Edition
Jules is an ordinary nineteen-year-old omega from a perfectly respectable family. He’s not the most beautiful, or the smartest, or the strongest of the four Blake siblings. And he’s fine with it, really. He isn’t ugly or anything, but by omega standards, he’s nothing special. “Nothing special” describes Jules’s whole life. It’s utterly boring.
So when strange things start happening in their house, it piques Jules’s curiosity. There’s a beast in the Blake family mansion; Jules is sure of it. He sometimes hears growls and screams coming from the basement, and the men guarding the door look positively terrified. What could terrify grown alphas? Jules will have to investigate!
But his investigation comes with surprises…like the Beast’s overwhelming effect on Jules’s omega nature. It doesn’t mean anything. Of course it doesn’t. Jules is just curious; that’s all.
Curiosity can change a life, but when you’re attracted to a feral alpha whose real face you haven’t even seen…will it change for the better? What if the Beast is no Prince Charming but a cold-hearted, cynical bastard? A bastard Jules shouldn’t want—but does. A bastard Jules should stay away from—but can’t.
Please note: while mpreg exists in this world, it is only mentioned and does not appear on-page. This book can be read on its own or as part of the series The Wrong Alpha.

"Baby… Sweetheart… I want to live inside your skin."
I loved this. I couldn't put it down, and I'm already up for a reread. This is probably the only author that can make me read omegaverse, and enjoy it this much.
I adore Jules. Jules is a wallflower sweetheart with a wild side and he must be protected at all costs. Devlin is a handsome cynical bastard that keeps saying he doesn't care about stuff but he does, in fact, care about stuff. Cue me swooning.
This is very high heat, and there are a bunch of steamy scenes that I can't get out of my head, but the romance is epic. It's funny, it has a certain cuteness to it, and the emotional aspect is remarkable. It has the trademark Hazard passionate connection, lust and pure obssessive neediness that keeps you invested at all times, and great relationship development. The prose is gorgeous, the conflict is excellent, the plot keeps you on your toes, and the ending is just so satisfying. The secondary characters are so well-developed. I loved Jules's brothers, I hope they both get their stories.
I completely, wholeheartedly recommend this, even if omegaverse isn't your thing.

✔️ Fantasy romance omegaverse
✔️ Tropes: Secret identity, brother’s boyfriend
This book is perfect for fans of traditional regency historical romances who want to dip into the omegaverse. Alessandra Hazard skillfully explains the structure of the universe while not making it feel like a world-building dump every time.
My only complaint was that the “epilogue” was a real part of this book. It couldn’t have been skipped without wrapping up this storyline. Just make it a regular chapter!

Oh how I love Feral! Total hit for me! What a beauty of a story. 😍
I just love the first title Unnatural, too. If there's a difference in story types to remark upon I'd say that in Feral the amount of content related to the politics is much less as in Unnatural with the emphasis even more strongly on the romance in this new one in comparison. I never considered there being too much of that political plot content in Unnatural either; I love all that and it's all very interesting and thrilling that sucks one in and certainly not lacking in the romance or Hot Stuff dept. But in Feral, the empasis of the story type in my opinion might be on the Romance to a greater extent. I don't know how is it even possible 😍 And that's very very romantic! I like both so much that I couldn't say to like either one more. The writing's typical great writing by this author. Read at one sitting type of writing. Except you reread right after reading ... Soooo Good! I cannot come up with anything to change etc. - except for wanting the next story, stat! 😄
I can't wait for the next set of main characters (I think we met one already in Feral) and the plot thickening. Nor to read more about these we already know. I got impatiently curious about certain angles and the sample of the next book made me even more so. I feel so lucky to have found authors like this whose each book is a hit for me. Recommended if you like the author's writing / this type of tropes in the genre.

The sex scenes were amazing as usual. I think one reason why I love Alessandra Hazard's sex scenes, is that even if the two people love each other, there's still a sense of excitement, tension, and danger, even if it's not real danger. The sex scenes never feel boring and overly peaceful. (I know not everyone likes the same things, but I prefer to see more emotional suspense and tension in sex scenes.)
Feral actually reminds me of That Irresistible Poison (Seyn and Ksar) from Alessandra Hazard's Calluvia Royalties series. Both have rather high angst but not to a melodramatic extent, and both involve some sort of enemies-to-lovers. Both are very exciting to read. That Irresistible Poison was my favorite of Alessandra Hazard's books. But Feral is comparable to it. I still haven't decided whether I love Feral more or That Irresistible Poison more!
I love this author's books so much, looking forward to the next ones
Jules and Devlin were a great couple, I loved them both. I wasn't that in tune with Devlin in the previous book (I sort of had gay-best-friends vibes from him) but he seemed different in this one and I much preferred how he turned out. The steamy scenes were amazing as usual. I absolutely love the ABO-meets-period setting and want a billion more books in that please.
My only gripe was I would have loved a bit more of them in the end. (spoilers ahead) I would have loved the big reveal to have had more drama around it, and their telekinetic connection being a big deal.
