Second chance..
Book four in the Dark Horse MC series. Spencer is clink little sister and she’s off limits. At sixteen she gave Drew her v card. He acted like it was nothing so she left. Heartbroken and started a new life. Years later she gets a call from her brother that he got looked up. So she moves back home. Drew knew she was the one. The one that got away. He wanted her to spread her wing. Not be stuck here. She was meant for more. So he let her go. Now she’s back. Nothing or nobody will take her ways. Drew is ready to claim his girl.

The “one that got away” is back, and though not for the best of reasons, it’s time for her to be back for good. Spencer arrives in town ready to hate Brew and all of the MC for what they allowed to happen to her own blood brother, but quickly she realizes so much has changed, but some things never do. She and Brew have a connection that is fire in every way, not only with passion, but in that comforting way a sitting around fire pit brings warmth to the parts of yourself that can be cold. They fit and no enemy, no matter who they are, will prevent them from being together. Another great addition to the Dark Horse MC, readers will love this book and couple, and this reviewer in particular cannot wait for the next book to come along!

    One of my favorite types of series to read are interconnected standalones that have a continuing story running in the background. Hayley Faiman does that so well in this series. While each couple has their own separate story with plenty of drama, it adds an extra layer of interest to the plot when you've been following along from book one. This particular story follows Spencer and Brew (Evan) and has some of my favorite tropes. Age-gap, second chance, brother's MC brother. I enjoyed the touch of ex-drama and how expertly that story line played out. And we once again get an alpha possessive MMC that will do anything for his FMC. I was thoroughly entertained and can't wait to find out what else is in story for the Dark Horse MC and their women. I do have high hopes that we get a Clink story sometime before the series ends.

    I was looking forward to this story, but disappointed in hell lacking it was in details and character development. The list is endless. Overall, the series is solid. This book is the exception almost as if it was rushed. It is not a portrayal of her talent or her past publications. I will read the next in the series and hope that it has better development detail, and some of the uumph it’s missing.

    There are chapters that I love Evan and then others where I don’t. Male egos and dominance urghhhh!

    It’s a good story and Spencer came in guns blazing - I do wish she’d made him crawl after her all the way to Austin though.

    Ophelia is such a great character and I love Bren too. Thanks Hayley for another good one but I can’t wait for Clink’s book next. Only a couple more days.
