    The only thing I would change about this book is the cover. It held me back longer than it should have because this gem should be devoured by all immediately.

    If you’re a fan of dark comedy, this is 100% for you. It’s written well, the characters are fleshed out (and unhinged), the dynamics are… just as unhinged. It doesn’t take itself too seriously (it’s a comedy for goodness sake, and the best never do.) The plot is plotting the entire way through and it even gives us a perfect segue into the characters in the second book, which sounds just as crazy as the first—in the best way.

    The spice be spicin' and it's all a bit ridiculous--but that's what makes it so good.

    Kick up your feet and read it, you freakshow.

    I am not sure what genre to call this story! It has lots of interesting side tracks and side swipes that any story I have read before. It was also dumb, very funny, frustrating and then it made me chuckle constantly. While it is also violent, it is almost like slap-stick funny and odd to say the least. If you, as a potential reader have violence issues, then you may wish to pass on the story. For everyone else...YOU are on your own. I enjoyed it in a very awkward way. Thank you R.     I enjoyed Scotty and Brody's banter and Brody's failed attempts at redrum. Scotty was definitely giving Brody a run for his money and with his lovey dovey talk and Brody's death threats it was absolutely hilarious. However, by the midway point of the book it started feeling repetitive and I found myself a bit bored with the storyline. In all honesty the book was 25-50 pages too long and had it been shorter I probably would have not felt like it was super repetitive and would have really enjoyed the book more to give it at least another star.

After the first chapter, I actually felt sorry for Brody, but as I kept reading, I realized he’s as nuts as Scotty. The pair are a couple of pecan-pistachio-peanut butter sandwiches worth of crazy. So much fun!

    Honestly this is one of the most fun reads I’ve had ever. Also one, if not THE hottest book I’ve ever read. Yes, it’s unhinged. If dark romance is one of your things, this hits a sweet spot of psycho younger man and big bad dark older man. Vague spoilers to the relationship dynamic below, sorry, it’s just impossible not to talk about why I loved this specific book so much.

    It’s so hard to talk about what I love about this book without getting into spoilers. The sudden catastrophic event that makes the tone shift in the middle of the book is really what makes this incredible. As their confusing and difficult relationship builds to the point of no return, each of the different elements that make their relationship seem unrealistic and strange falls perfectly into place. It was like Brody was barreling with unstoppable force towards Scotty with no understanding that he was an immovable object.

    What sets this apart from a lot of dark romance books is that each element of their interactions is examined, understood, and consented to by both men. While it takes Brody a while to understand that the thing they have together is a full on kink, the second he sees it for what it is, he never lets Scott feel like what they do is anything other than something he wants and enjoys. This is one of the rare books where I said “oh my god” out loud. Their power dynamics often shift on a dime in the middle of scenes, and I found myself lost in the chaos, unable to do anything but go along for the ride.

    I feel like this is one of those books that you either get, or you don’t. Landsdale does a fantastic job of showing instead of telling at really key moments in their relationship. It is not an intro book for mm readers, even ones who enjoy kink and BDSM. Are they toxic? Yes. Are they harmless? I would argue also yes. This was a wild read from start to finish, but I loved every second of it. Very much looking forward to the second installment.

    This was total carnage and I loved it 😂 Dark-RomCom-Stalker-Murdering-Insta-love is the trope I never knew existed but now I can't live without!

    Scotty/Baby is bonkers, totally bonkers but the sweetest little psycho-twink you'll ever get to meet. Please don't be fooled by the innocence he has in the first few chapters, that man has a blowtorch and knows how to use a gun!! He's nuts and possibly one of my favourite characters I've read over the last few years.

    Brody/Daddy/Uri is his grumpy stalker/wannabe-murderer hired by Scotty's dad to kill him. So, naturally, Scotty falls in love with him as soon as he lays eyes on him (who wouldn't!) because, after all, murder-daddy is just a game. After a little back & forth and denial (silly daddy) Brody gets on board with the whole game.... then he REALLY gets on board with it all!!

    There is no way you can read this book and not laugh your ar5e off every few pages. It's funny, super-sweet, total carnage, spicy as sin and beautifully crazy all at the same time! The one-liners in this are epic, the comedic prose is flawless and, honestly, I have no idea wtf I just read but I will never EVER forget these 2 ❤️

    FYI - this review probably doesn't make any sense but, at the same time, it makes perfect sense. It just shows how utterly mad this book is!!!

    Book 2 better be on the way, need ALL the Kincaid & Tatum scenes possible!!!

    I’m going to not even try to not post an insane review about this book because THIS BOOK IS PERFECTION. I will not hear a bad word about Brody and Scotty they are my life forever. If there are typos and nothing makes sense then soz but you know what I mean (probably)

    I saw this on someone’s IG a few weeks ago and knew I NEEDED to read it desperately. It’s almost a bit Sem (IYKYK) by Cora Rose a bit Sainted by Jesse H Reign and a bit absolutely insane toxic unhinged insta-love OTT brilliance and I am 💕LOVING💕IT💕 one of my most highlighted books (and it’s like 250 pages so idk why I did that) and made me squeal and cackle and giggle like a fool.

    Scotty has a new boyfriend, and his new boyfriend is called Uri ❤️❤️❤️

    Not really he has a hit on him and Brody is the hire trying to unalive him, but keeps failing because Scotty just wants to kiss and giggle and rub himself all over him. Brody is married and straight 😇 until he’s not (there is no cheating, they are in an open relationship etc etc etc and Fee is one of the best side characters ever and I need more of her)

    Brody is grumpy and so beyond done with this job and doesn’t understand why he keeps failing. It was like reading a comedy sketch and I can so perfectly picture Brody falling over and running away and being so miserable (but he okay we allowed to love his misery) so OF COURSE the solution is to just let Scotty get his own way and he becomes Daddy 💕 a kinda confused and unwilling Daddy, but still Daddy. My fave murder daddy 💕

    These two go on a fab adventure together and are obsessed with each other, they are adorable and I love them. This isn’t a real review sorry (not really)

    I didn’t want this to end and I could read at least 1200 more pages about these two precious freaks. I love them so much. And TATUM???? KINCAID???????? I need that instantly. INSTANTLY.

    Please read this book and please scream about it. One of my tops of the year!
