My name is Sandra Smith : Director of Learning. Also a Maths teacher, with over 29 years of experience in teaching. My passion and experience in the classroom, has led me to create Focus Lane Books for children : English, Maths and Science. They are simply exercise books, for children to fill each book, with their Own written work as they study. They have a content page and numbered pages with encouraging motivational quotes throughout. Children can record their work and find it straight away: for help with classwork, homework or revision. Imagine their sense of pride and achievements. It's a forever book for learners, age 8 to 16.

Focus Lane Books were visualised from a real situation in the classroom, in May 2015. My students needed the opportunity to take charge of their learning. I decided to act on my ideas in November 2019. The books were released in March 2021.

It's been tough times for parents, carers and families. I want children to learn, enjoy and achieve.
