For Fox Sake (Fetish Alley Book 1) Kindle Edition
Former SAS soldier, Clay Mortimer, the M in M&W Investigations, had thought he'd seen it all. But when his ex calls and asks for a favour Clay is intrigued, and then a bit surprised. He and his partner, Tate Williams, have a robust and imaginative sex life, but the things they see and learn in Fetish Alley take their understanding of human behaviour to the next level. Tate's take is part kid in a candy store fascination, part shocked. At the end of the day, all good detective work requires an open mind and the skill to ferret out the truth. Still, the layers of deceit and avarice they encounter are more than par for the course, particularly from people who are not keen about outsiders to the world of Fetish Alley.

- Reviewed in the United States on February 5, 2019Suspense, mystery, unique investigation, steamy communication and so much more create the awesome beginning of a new series. The writing was beautiful and the story-line kept me reading. The supporting characters were really well done and added so much depth to the story. I love the idea of this series being based on M&W Investigations agency and all the possibilities that could bring. I am hooked on Fetish Alley!
I loved the creation of Fetish Alley and all the amazing shops that were located there. The details of the different eatery's and specialty shops had my complete interest. The dynamic between the retired soldier Clay and the retired DEA undercover agent Tate are intense and compelling. Neither man is perfect and both have their issues, but together they are amazing. i am excited that Tate and Clay are back!
Two of the supporting characters Aurelio and Tomas have intrigued me and i am hoping for more of their story in the future. i also really enjoyed appearances from some of the other Men of London MC’s, that really gave the story depth and connection for me. I am a fan of this author and am so happy to see this new series.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 13, 2021Fetish Alley. A setting just exactly what the name implies. Clay and Tate are very settled in to their forever together, boldly exploring new and interesting ways to have fun while investigating a possible murder of a man in a fox suit.
A light who-dun-it. The story didn’t take itself to seriously and the additional characters (from another series) that showed up were very likable. Lots of steamy time between Clay and Tate ratcheted up the heat level considerably.
I liked the combination of the men putting their skills to use and keeping their relationship on the front burner. Entertaining and witty.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 22, 2019This is my first book by this author, and I think to really enjoy it, I should have read "The Men of London" series first, or at least the ones related to some of the secondary characters in this story who seem to be from books 1, 2, and 7. Even the MCs, Tate and Clay, appear to have their "getting together" story told in book 4 of Men of London. The books in this series seem to be about Tate and Clay and some of the investigative cases their company M&W takes on. But characters from the other series periodically pop in so I think it would have meant more to already know who they are.
The story is good, with only a few proofreading issues, but there is some jumping around in time that seems odd. They don't seem to be in a big hurry to solve this "favor" for Clay's ex, but they enjoy a lot of sexy times while doing it. I probably will go back and read some of The Men of London, especially book 4, so I understand what happened to Tate.

When I heard Susan MacNicol was writing a spin off from her long running Men of London series….I was thrilled. What reader who has read her over ten book series, wouldn’t want to return and see how 'Our Men ‘ are doing.
Clay Mortimer and Tate Williams became a loving duo in Book 4…. I think in Feet of Clay. They have formed an investigation company called what else M&W Investigations using their military talents and strong and fearsome friends. They are helping people and companies who are targets of cyber or other needs. It was a coming home of sorts for me with these two and their friends who are like family to me.
This newest introduces us to Clay’s ex owning a fetish club in London. He reaches out to Clay to check on a death of a friend and member of his club who was found in an empty theater he owned in a fox suit.
The Furry Fetish is part of the scenario, yet not delved in too deeply for the sensitive. Lol….Yet to me this particular investigation was not my primary focus as I enjoyed the jealousy Tate carried about Clay’s ex, finding Tate was doing better with his PTSD and seeing some of the other people they had dinner with and checked in with that I caught up with.
New characters and investigations will be coming and I cannot wait for more…Those who have not been in the Men of London fan club will want to go back and immerse themselves in this series. I am ready to continue the voyage…Great start…
- Reviewed in the United States on July 2, 2019Love the cover, blurb and title of the book. I had big problem with consentrate and focuse reading the story, I skipped some pages but couldn’t finish the book.

- Reviewed in the United States on February 13, 2021This is the first book in a new series and I enjoyed the premise quite well. There is something for everyone to enjoy with this book from mystery, romance, humor and more. Clay and Tate are intriguing characters that were previously introduced in Mac Nicol’s Men of London series. In my honest opinion, readers need to read Clay and Tate’s book from that series before reading this book. I did and still thought I was dropped in the middle of a story. I will be interested to see where the author takes these characters and what sort of cases they will see.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great offshoot series
This is a book written that involves Clay and Tate from the Men of London series. It has them having further adventures together in and around Fetish Alley. They meet more people from this place and discover that they are interested in some of the kinks that they learn about. This combined with their ongoing detective work combine to make a book that is much like Men of London so if you like that series you will probably enjoy this one. Warning lots of kinky mm sex.

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved this Book
I am fairly new to Susan Mac Nicol books but enjoyed the previous two so much that I decided to download this series and I’m so glad I did. I absolutely love the relationship between Clay and Tate, as partners in love they are hot🔥and as partners in the detective agency they work well together and I enjoyed finding out more about the others working with them. Clay and Tate have both had their fair share of problems, mental as well as physical with Clay being ex SAS and Tate a retired undercover cop but they love each other regardless and are always there for each other. I can’t wait to read book 2 in this series.

4.0 out of 5 stars The boys are back with a mystery to solve.
A great story read which included some of the Men of London series. A mystery to solve that gets Clay's spidery senses going. Lol poor Clay has a thing about turning 40 which doesn't help when Tate banters with him. I'll look forward to reading more of these guys in future books. Tomas was a dark horse with having fire for someone in this story.
A case comes up for Clay and Tate's Investigations involving a red fox aka Dixon. Aurelio asked for their help in a mystery death of his friend.
Clay and Tate own their Investigations Company known as M &W, they used their various previous work experiences. Having Tomas on their team made his hacking talents a nice bonus.

4.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant read
Great book brilliant story loved the characters but I think I would be best if you red the boys of London series first as it felt like I was missing a whole story about the main characters and other characters in the book. Definitely recommend this book enjoyed it

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun and Murder?
I am really enjoying Clay and Tate's journey. Lots of smiles in this one and the enjoyment Clay gets from Tate's awakening in Fetish Alley is lovely to read. Tate is recovering well but when their lates case is a direct call for help from Clay's ex lover, insecurities return. The fact that the ex is a gorgeous Italian footballer has nothing to do with the reason Tate wants to punch his lights out. A good read.
