Brooke Blaine is a USA Today Bestselling Author best known for writing romantic comedy and M/M romance. Her novels lead with humor and heart, but Brooke never shies away from throwing in something extra naughty that will scandalize her conservative Southern family for life (bless their hearts). Ollie noticed Reid Valentine since the very first time he laid eyes on him at the coffee shop him and his work partner frequent on a daily to weekly basis. The very first time Reid notices Ollie, is a moment that solidifies what’s to come. When tragedy strikes and the smoke clears, Reid remembers Ollie, but not much else. Through tragedy, an unexpected yet genuine connection forms between these two.

“I just didn’t realize how empty my life was until you filled it.”

Ollie and Reid are magic on the pages. The push and pull of their relationship had me totally engrossed in their story. Unable to ignore the overwhelming desire for each other, they give in. The fall is something to behold. Sexy and endearing, Ollie and Reid’s story is nothing short of extraordinary. What could have been darkness and loneliness, emerged as love and light. The author’s unquestionable talent is manifested in not only the unique storyline but also how she brilliantly encompasses the deepest vulnerabilities of these two men while telling one of the most epic love stories I’ve read in a really long time. Deep and exquisitely moving, Forget Me Not is a compelling journey of falling in love, learning it’s limitations, while understanding love itself is an endless promise.

“Ollie? Is it always like this?”
    “No…No, it’s never like this.”

But what happens when circumstances change? When love is forced to go against the unthinkable? Without giving too much away…your heart will race throughout this entire book. They were never supposed to happen…but they did. It’s a lesson of love and life. That loving someone is also giving that someone a power that no one else holds. That the past can come back and shatter hearts to pieces. But isn’t love strong enough to withstand that? This is the very reason why I am beyond excited to dive into book two. To say I loved this book would be an understatement. Exhilarating yet heartfelt, THIS book is the recipe for exceptional M/M romance.

I waited to read the second book before writing my review. This is one story told in two parts abs the first time reading this author. When I first read the synopsis I was a bit hesitant because the amnesia trope done 2x in the same story seemed a little unbelievable.

The story starts with our MC Ollie who’s a paramedic and crushing hard on our other MC who he sees daily at the spot they frequent for coffee. They never interact, but one day they finally do and that’s when the accident happens and Ollie is the first on the scene. Because of his feelings for Reid he goes to visit him at the hospital to make sure he’s ok and some coincidences later they are unlikely friends.

This happens while Reid is recovering and has lost about 10 years of memories but he’s building new ones with Ollie. They have a real cute relationship until Reid’s starts having real painful headaches that leads to amnesia #2 covered in the second part of the book. I’ll continue my review there…

What a beautiful heartbreaking read. I knew going into this book that it was going to be hard. But nothing prepared me for how beautiful and loving it would be on top of it all. It was so easy to forget the tragedy when Ollie and Reid were finding themselves in each other. Of course it wasn't easy to forget what had happened.

Ollie never expected to find the guy he was crushing on crashing into his life the way he did. His emotions were all over the place with Reid. After all, how can he love someone who doesn't really know who he is?

Reid is lost. His injury sets him back, but it doesn't stop him from wanting to live life. And he wants to live it with Ollie.

Brooke Blaine is one of my favorite authors, her writing is beautiful and she knows how to add the right amount of sweet, emotion, and humor to her characters. Forget Me Not has more emotion than her other books.

Ollie and Reid come together in a way only two people who are meant to be can. But things aren't easy. Not when Reid struggles to discover who he is and who he once was, and Ollie struggles with bringing him closer when Reid isn't sure of himself.

I knew this ending was going to be killer, after all there are two books. But what I didn't expect was for it to be that. After everything the two of them went through Brooke Blaine had to make their heartbreak that must more difficult. I probably would have been able to handle everything with more grace than I did this ending. I was a mess.

Remember Me When is going to kill me.

Brooke Blaine told a beautiful love story of two people who find each other through tragedy. How their story ends is going to be an emotional roller coaster that I am so ready for.

    My Review:

OMG, the tears...*sob*. I am sitting here with book #2 only inches away from my hand, but I'm being good and writing this review before I pick it up...and after you read these books you will realize what a sacrifice that was on my part. Because the ending of this book was soul-shredding. OMG!!

BUT this book is so good. And I'd been warned that I needed to have book #2 ready to go. Thank goodness, I waited to read this until they were both out and in my hands.

So, this book...gah, it was so sweet and romantic. Ollie and Reid have been seeing one another in their local convenience store most mornings for the last 4 months. Ollie (who has the POV during the entire book) has a definite crush on the guy, but they don't actually introduce themselves until that final morning.

Then Ollie and his paramedic partner, Mike, take off in their ambulance and come across Reid's car crushed under a truck.

From there the story and very slow romance and build-up develop. And OMG, it's so good. I loved these two guys together. So sweet and romantic, but so many questions...

And that is all I'm going to say because #nospoilers, but also because #OMGIneedtoknowwhathappensnextNOW...

So, I am off to devour book #2 in this duet.

These 2 books are a must read. They are beautifully written with understanding of the varying emotions of someone who has gone through a head injury or memory loss. Also just the story in itself is emotionally driven and is written over the 2 books so read them in order.

Forget Me Not: Book one of a two book series, started with a bang and continued it’s emotional roller coaster ride to the last emotion filled page.

I loved this story, and I’m not a fan of cliff hangers, but I don’t mind this time around because the anxiety is ramping along with the anticipation of what I know will be an epic heartbreaking, angst filled HEA. So much has happened in this first part, Oliver’s emotions have been tossed around like a ship adrift in angry seas, and Reid has had the opportunity to be who he wants to be, have his fresh start when clearly he was just doing as expected.

Ollie and Reid, are two men who are very perfect for each other. Together their life couldn’t better, except for the chaos of a traumatic brain injury that had Reid losing memories and forgetting important people in his life. Ollie is amazing, and I get the feeling he’s going to need to be the strongest version of himself so that he and his Bluebird can be reunited,

Brooke Blaine is an amazing talent and this series is no exception. I love her writing and I loved this story. I cannot wait for part two, and I’m very glad it’s only a short fortnight away until the much awaited happy ending comes for our two amazing men. I got emotional when everything turned on a dime, but I didn’t cry only because my anxiety was too high to let tears fall. I know with the next book I’m going to need Kleenex.

    Highly recommended, 6 Stars.

4.0 out of 5 stars Une histoire émouvante et bien écrite
Reviewed in France on January 2, 2019

This beautiful heartbreaking part one in the Unforgettable Duet is just another masterpiece by Brooke Blaine.

Right from the first chapter I fell in love with Ollie and Reid. And right from that first chapter you knew their story would be unique and lovely and heartbreaking...and you also know this is a train wreck coming. But you can’t stop reading. You have to see how they will find their way.

This is just another typical Brooke Blaine...make you fall in love with her characters and the story. I love the brilliant writing, the witty dialogues, the interesting secondary characters, the love, the teasing, the heartwarming and heartbreaking parts. I recommend tissues and wine with this one. And I definitely recommend reading it!

Do you know that kind of book that leaves you speechless the same time it’s heart warming, it brings tears to your eyes?

So, that is the type of love-story you will read about the adorable couple Ollie and Reid.

They simply complement each other, as they are partners, they are friends, lovers and they are their own grounds.

It was, maybe, one of the sweetest and prettiest books I’ve ever read.

The writing is absolutely immaculate, it’s vast, but simple, it’s straightforward but full of details. The characters are very well developed and extremely well built in a perfect balance of depth and delicate nuances. All scenes, even the steamy hot ones were constructed with flawless care and love. You can see the author’s deep feelings for this plot in each paragraph she created.

    Amazing. Really, amazing.

    Just gave 5 ⭐️ because I could not give 6 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
