Rapunzel in Rosewood Bay
Freed was as fantastic as #1 and #2.... Carly Phillips has really showcased how you can regain a life after your childhood ripped away, I have really enjoyed the Rosewood Bay series and Freed was no exception. Juliette the misplaced sister has been used, manipulated and lied to by her father all of her life so when she discovers that she's actually not an only child and finds the strength to leave the smothering, lonely life in the city it's great watching her flourish and stand on her own two feet. When he learns that she is going to visit her sisters who she doesn't even know he hires a private detective to watch over her... Unbeknownst though does he realize that he was going to fall for her. Afraid to admit the truth he puts his relationship at risk especially since she has trust issues. though how will the girl he's possibly falling for react when she finds out why he approached her in the first place. It is enchanting to watch this story unfold and powerful to watch them work through the deception. I am so intrigued and looking forward to #4

Freed was another great addition to the Rosewood Bay Series by Carly Phillips. I was totally intrigued with this story and I read it in one day…actually a couple of hours.

This is a fairly quick read but in no means is it rushed or missing anything. I thought the storyline was captivating and the characters were easy to fall in love with. This book had it’s emotional side as well. There are some topics that have a heavy feel but nothing that will bring the reader down. It just might hit close to home for some people.

I was truly excited to read this story after reading Fearless (Book 1) and Breathe (Book2) and this book didn’t disappoint at all. I was looking forward to reading about the long lost sister to Halley and Phoebe. I was a little nervous that I wouldn’t like Juliette just because she comes from wealth and I was afraid she would be snotty. Thankfully I was completely wrong and absolutely loved her character. I thought she was a strong heroine and I loved how she came into herself once she took her life back for herself.

Freed is the third book in the Rosewood Bay Series. It is a interconnected standalone novel told in Dual POV in the third person. As I recommend with all interconnected novels, I would suggest reading these books in order, that way you can get the whole story about these siblings. I thought the pace and flow of this story worked perfectly. Some might consider this story an insta love story, yes things move rather quickly for Juliette and Braden but it worked for this couple. I loved how she jumps right into the story without adding in all the extra filler.

In Freed we follow Braden and Juliette. Juliette is the long lost sister of Halley and Phoebe. Her dad took her away when she was young and kept her in New York, sheltering her from the world and her family. (Sisters) That is until she comes across some information that her dad was hiding. Upset, she confronts her dad and decides she is heading to Rosewood Bay to finally meet her sisters, against his wishes. Her dad not happy with her decision, hires Braden to keep an eye on her. Braden is a local PI who runs his own business. When he is hired by Juliette’s dad all he can think about how that money will help with his dad. Little did he know Juliette was a game changer. Can these two find their HEA?? What happens when secrets are revealed?? Can Juliette forgive and forget??? Read this book to find out.

I would definitely recommend this book to everyone. If you are a fan of Carly Phillips you don’t want to miss this gem of a book.!!!

**I voluntarily read an early copy of this title in exchange for an honest review**

Freed is the third installment of Carly Phillips Rosewood Bay series and it's another great addition to the series.

Juliette Collins has grown up as an only child with her father as her only parental figure. Even though Juliette is fully grown at twenty-six, she has stayed with her father to help him out after he had some heart issues. She manages his calendar and attends events with him when needed. When she needs a gift for her father's upcoming birthday, she goes to find his wine list in his safe, but stumbles upon a private investigators report that not only shows she has two half-sisters, but also that her mother has been alive her entire life after being told she died when Juliette was a baby. Knowing she's been lied to for years and needing to take control of her life, Juliette sets her sights on leaving New York and heading to Rosewood Bay in search of her sisters.

Braden Clark is in the protection business in Rosewood Bay. He and his partner have an active business and so when Braden is contacted about keeping tabs on a city girl who will be spending the summer in Rosewood Bay, he thinks it will be an easy assignment. What is it they say about easier said than done?! Braden quickly learns how sheltered Juliette has been, but he also learns what a wonderful person she is and he's drawn to her. As the two begin to spend more time together, he realizes he likes this girl for who she is and the fact that she is his "job" is going to likely cause big trouble in the end.

Braden and Juliette continue to get to know one another and lean on one another quite a bit. Both have things going on in their respective lives and the support they receive from one another is invaluable. I loved how patient both Braden and Juliette were. They are going through different things, but they both have reason to be patient and they both have it in spades. The question becomes will the things they are both dealing with independently going to threaten the blossoming relationship between the two?

As always, Carly Phillips tells a fantastic story and you get lost in the wonderful small towns she creates. She is always a one-click author for me and this book is no different. I definitely recommend picking this one up!

In my opinion the story felt forced, sometimes rushed and other times stilted. Maybe I expected to much. But even for light reading this was not really enjoyable.
