- Reviewed in the United States on December 26, 2012I read Leverage Point many years ago in hardback, then again a few years later and now I read it again on my Kindle. It is the story of Mark Jeppson who becomes involved in the world of international politics when he is hired to be the go between between a charismatic arms dealer and Saudi Arabian princes. Mark's two years as a missionary in the Middle East and his fascination with the Arabic culture make his perfect for the job. However, he becomes so fascinated with the job that he begins to neglect his child and new girlfriend. He has problems as well because the Israelies do not want an arms deal of this size to go through and they send a group to stop it. The problems escalate when his boss has a heart attack...caused on purpose.
I love the ending. Gerald Lund is the best!
- Reviewed in the United States on December 3, 2012Once again Gerald Lund has written a book I will read again and again. Interesting. I really like everything he writes. The middle east is an interesting place and the history and ways of life there are fun to learn about.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 16, 2020I usually don’t care for books about intrigue and mystery. Since I’ve loved Lund’s other books I read it twice! Both times I got so caught up I read through the night. I’m confident everyone will love it!
- Reviewed in the United States on May 15, 2017Dynamic story.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 29, 2013Decent book, though not as good as The Alliance or The Freedom Factor. three stars because i enjoyed it some what but don't have any desire to read it over again.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 12, 2014A great read!
- Reviewed in the United States on February 23, 2013I really love most of Gerald Lund's books, they are easy to read and understand. The last few are so good, my husband with Parkinson's can really enjoy them as well.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 28, 2016When I first read Leverage Point I was a young entrepreneur starting businesses with the naivete that the protagonist in Leverage Point seemed to have. I knew my business, but not the twists and turns of competitors and their devious machinations. I learned about morality and ethics in business from Lund's book that I really needed, and for that I am grateful. I am one of a limited number of people, I think, that sees the value of fiction in improving our mindset. I still treasure my original copy of this book.
