Perfect Cowboy: A cowboy enemies to lovers romance (Game Changer Book 3) Kindle Edition

4.3 4.3 out of 5 stars 114 ratings

A girl who is down on her luck. A cowboy who no longer believes in love. Hate has never felt so good.

Ashley

A decade ago, I ran away from the small town where Gavin is king.

He was my first love. My first time. My first everything. After losing my fiancé, job and all my money, I’m forced back home.

The teenager whose heart I broke is all man with rock-hard abs, a mouth-watering bulge, and beyond grumpy personality. But underneath the smug smile, the boy I loved is still there.

And I’ve never wanted him more.

Gavin

I hate Ashley almost as much as I want her.

We get snowed in at her dad’s cabin, and it doesn’t take long before she convinces me to sleep with the enemy. And that’s when I learn the line between love and hate is very thin.

Underneath the rivalry, our undeniable connection is still there. I want nothing to do with her, but she's quickly becoming the one woman I can’t live without.

Maybe I don’t hate Ashley after all.

Perfect Cowboy is a spicy second chance, enemies to lovers, forced proximity romance where ex-lovers are trapped in a secluded cabin with only one bed. There’s page turning suspense, small town feels, and an ultra protective alpha hero. It can be read as a standalone, but offers glimpses of other couples in the series.

Perfect Cowboy, book three in the Game Changer series by Olivia Peters, is a suspenseful second chance/hate to love, cowboy romance.Olivia Peters definitely kept the best for last in this series. Don't get me wrong, books one and two were great, but The Perfect Cowboy is excellent.Gavin is the perfect book boyfriend, he is a hot cowboy who is very open about his emotions & feelings, protective, possessive, and caring. The way his feelings for Ashley evolved, from hating her to loving her again, was beautiful. I loved that he didn't care what others said about Ashley. He wouldn't get what they thought about her affecting him or his decisions, he only listened to his heart.Ashley is the definition of strong. Going back to a town where you know everyone hates you is only what a strong woman can do. I loved that Ashely owned her mistakes towards Gavin, and she apologized and fought to make things right.I think this is Olivia Peters's hottest book to date. There is plenty of steam, and all scenes are well described.I loved seeing the couples from the other books and getting to know Gavin and Bobby's parents better. After three books, they feel like family. This story had me on the edge of my seat and has a twist I didn't see coming, but there was a perfect balance between the suspense, angst, steam, and many sweet moments.Olivia Peters has a very realistic writing style, it makes you feel like you are living the story with the characters, who feel like real people.Perfect Cowboy was an addictive read, I couldn't put it down. If you love a suspenseful second chance romance with plenty of steam and sweetness, then this is a book you can't miss.I received an ARC from the author but am voluntarily leaving my honest review.

This book is very well written and I loved Perfect Player but this book exceeded that one which was unexpected for me. I’ve only read these two Bobby and Gavin and as much as I loved Bobby I love Gavin this book more.
I’m definitely going to finish the series such great writing

This is a second chance love story, where Ashley left town after a family scandal and would not respond to her boyfriend Gavin’s texts or calls. Ten years later, she shows up back in town and no one in town is happy to see her but Gavin won’t let people attack her and protects her multiple times. She decides maybe they could have a second chance if Gavin let’s her explain why she ghosted him. Gavin was a good guy and was a gentleman to Ashley considering what happened. Ashley’s character didn’t resonate with me as much, she expected she should get a second chance and felt her, and her father’s actions were justified even if what her dad did was illegal. It seems like she never grew up and was self-centered and didn't seem to care how others were impacted by what her father did and how she hurt Gavin by ghosting him. There was a mystery surrounding who was trying to get revenge which kept me interested throughout the book. Gavin and his extended family are great, and they accepted Ashley after a bit if she was what Gavin wanted. Other than Ashley's character, the story kept me engaged.

Quite the story, how things were to how things are and the love hate that follows. I read straight through and thought it was great. You should read for yourself.

Loved the suspense in this story because it kept me turning pages. I loved the characters and the love story between them too.

This is Gavin's story; we know him as the twin brother of Bobby from the book Perfect Player. I can't wait to get to know this character better. The book's blurb has a few hints about what this book might contain, but I'm sure I'll be surprised by the actual story. This book didn't disappoint; it is a small town second chance romance with some appalling surprises and some swoony interactions. The book is steamy and filled with strife, but I loved how this story ended. Gavin is a true gentleman and cowboy, and he is very protective of his family, friends, and one true love. Ashley has trouble knocking at her front door as she goes home to this small town and finds herself and what she wants. The two characters were amazingly written, but the dramatic events may slightly turn your stomach. Still, I did enjoy the reprieve in the story from the action. I didn't love this book as much as I loved Perfect Player. I think maybe the type of drama in it was a bit too much for me. This book will need an author warning for the not overly described but unsettling scenes with animals.

This book begins with Gavin in his home in his small town in Montana; it is a chilly November with a crazy amount of snow expected. Gavin is grumpy, single, and happy with his life. He loved and lost before and didn't want to again; she burned him bad. Who is Ashley? I want to know what history he has with her?

The books jump to her pov, so I guess we get to learn more about this mysterious girl. We get a hint, but this story is certainly intriguing. There is a lot of animosity between this small town and her, including Gavin. I have no idea why but I can't wait to find out. So I really love that Gavin has a big heart. Despite the past, his morals don't change; instead, he reacts precisely like I would expect this character and further ingrains that cowboy respect.

With this amount of chemistry and history, I'm not surprised this book gets steamy as the characters explore the adult versions of each other. The truth of the past comes out, and it isn't much better than the thoughts on what happened, but can they move forward?

I didn't expect that arrangement, but I love that this cowboy thinks with his brain. This book gets very steamy. This book is tragic, and this couple has some major decisions. I love the ultimate choices they make and follow thru on, and I love the epilogue of this story the most oh my goodness, swoon, and it was the perfect ending to this story.

Ashley and Gavin
Gavin is twin to Bobby in Perfect Player, and is so swoony! Ashley ghosted him 10 years ago when her Dad went to jail for a Ponzi Scheme. Now she's back in town after her ex dumped her and left her penniless. Is there a second chance for this couple?

Ashley moved away from her small town when her father stole money from nearly everyone in a Ponze type scheme. She is back only because she is broke and the cabin in the mountains is hers. She is attacked in the supermarket whilst picking up supplies and Gavin comes to her rescue. he hates her for what she did but he wont see her harmed after all he did love her before. She isnt prepared for how bad the cabin is and luck has it because Gavin comes to her rescue. No one is happy when he brings her to his ranch. The first part of the story was quite good but it got overtaken by all the sex scenes as though the writer didnt know what to do with the story.
