Gandhi - A Biography in Rhyme: The perfect snuggle time read so little readers everywhere can dream big! (A Wonderful World Book Series) Kindle Edition

4.9 out of 5 stars 52 ratings

Gandhi was a shy young man with a long, unusual name. Apparently, he was so nervous during his first court case that he fled the courtroom! However, he grew to become one of the most eloquent leaders of the world. At a time when India was fighting for Independence leading to umimaginable acts of violence, this simply dressed, khadhi-clad, mild-mannered man shocked everyone by suggesting 'non-violence' and 'civil disobedience' as the best means of protest.

She has all the hobbies of a maiden Victorian aunt – reading, writing, painting, crocheting, knitting and sewing, and the temperament of one. When she’s not guilt-tripping her two daughters into good behaviour, she can be found devouring books, crafting poems and puns, and chuckling at her own witticisms. I found this book very colourful and simple for students to understand. I read it for my kindergarten class to learn about Gandhi being hero. I like how the words are broken into syllables to make the harder words easier to pronounce when reading to the children. I like how it ended with one of Gandhi’s famous quotes as well to make the children think. I would recommend this book.

Sehr informativ mit freundlichen Illustrationen, die auch für die ganz Kleinen geeignet sind als Gute Nacht Geschichte. Das Buch liefert alle wichtigen Charaktereigenschaften über M. Ghandi und besonders gut hat mir der Hinweis gefallen, der das Selbstbewusstsein der Kinder stark macht: Das kannst du auch! Absolut empfehlenswert und pädagogisch wertvoll.
