When she’s not getting into mischief or scheming with her two girls, she’s busy coming up with crazy scenarios for her characters.

Using coffee and her imagination, Gail writes contemporary romances that blend laughter and true love out of everyday chaos. She writes in a variety of genres including romantic comedy, romantic suspense, and new adult/coming of age romance.

    Are you looking for a quick holiday read that captures both the fun of Halloween and Christmas? Do you also love punny books?! Then this Candy Cane Keys book is just for you!

    When your family lives in one of the most Christmas-like towns, but in one of the hottest states in the US, you’re bound to have a bit of Grinch in you. Add in the irresistibly hunky Greek dude you crushed on for years who turned into a bully being your parents next door neighbor and you’re further falling into the Grinch role.

    Thanasis and Rose have both had chemistry since Rose had been coming to Candy Cane Keys as a little girl. But when Thanasis’ own insecurities get in the way of opening the door up to love with Rose, that lead to a twelve year gap of no communication.

    Rose is determined to just get in and out of Candy Cane Keys with no issues. Fate has other ideas. With persistence Thanasis is able to win Rose back over for them to live there happily ever after.

    Rose used to be enthralled with the small Christmas town in the Florida Keys until she became a teen and the boy that she had a crush on humiliated her and broke her heart. Unfortunately, her parents decided to move to Candy Kane Key permanently when they retired.

    She is only driving back to town now because her parents are going on a well-deserved cruise and need a house sitter, but more importantly, want her to care for their overly spoiled Chihuahuas. As if living in a small town that celebrates Christmas full-time wasn't enough they named their dogs Tiny Tim and Ebenezer.

    She looks at the list of activities and rules for the dogs and rolls her eyes. They have an afternoon playtime every day with the neighbor's dog and they left a gift for her so Tiny Tim and Ebenezer can celebrate Sweetest Day.

    She can't believe her mother set her up because the next-door neighbor is none other than Thanasis. The man who broke her heart.

    I loved this book! It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable. Another wonderful Candy Kane Key story. This book is hilarious and the perfect read right before Halloween.

    I really want to be Rose's friend. She will keep you laughing as she redecorates Thanasis' yard and the yard wars begin. Highly recommend!

    This book will make you laugh with the banter between the main characters. I had so much fun reading this book. I just loved getting back to Candy Cane Keys! These books have been so fun to read by all these great authors.

    Rose is headed to her parents house in Candy Cane Keys to dog sit while her parents take a trip. She really doesn’t want to go back but there isn’t anyone else that can keep her parents babies. She doesn’t know that her mom had plans for her that she really won’t like. Rose left this small town after being bullied by the boy she had a huge crush on. He called he names and his buddies all jumped on the bandwagon with their own twists on his names.

    Thanasis is the Greek boy that Rose crushed on for years until he called her Glow Worm. To him it was a complement but to everyone else it was a slam. His friends started call Rose Glow Stick and other not so nice names. She left town and never saw him again. He just couldn’t forget his Rose.

    This story was fun and sweet and totally a worthwhile read.

    The road to heck (we all know the word is slightly different than heck—we also all know that the reviewers are soft and will refuse a review if they see any swears so it’s heck for now) is paved with good intentions…yadda yadda yadda. So many issues could be resolved if people just communicated clearly, hence the main conflict in the book above.

    Having said all of that, it was very well written story that was pretty short. You were still able to get everything you needed from it. It was actually quite cute. I strongly recommend it and will look for other books by author. This was my first book and she may have a new reader if the others are as good as this was. I loved the dogs and their cute names btw. Totally something I would do lol. Get the book friends!!

    This short story had me cracking up. Thanasis is used to being charming and flirty. It’s helps him be successful at what he does. But when his past, Rose, comes back to town, he’s back to being a nervous and clumsy teenager again. He was both endearing and charming.
    And with him throwing out things like, “I don’t want to be your regret. I want to be your chance for forever,” he has has stolen my heart.
    Rose tries not to be quick to fall back into his charm so she resorts to her own way of revenge that had me almost cackling myself. These two had some fun banter between them. Especially when it came to their Halloween vs Christmas disagreement.

    Definitely a perfect season to read this, I highly recommend you pick it up now.

    This was a very cute holiday themed short story. It was probably one of the shorter books that I have read but you still got the full detail of everything that you needed to know. Than and Roses' second chance at romance was super sweet. Between the fun banter and the pranks you can feel the love that they have for each other. It interesting to see what happens when there is a miscommunication that then turns everything upside down for the pair. Maybe Rose could have heard him out or maybe Than could have told her about the nickname in a more private setting. Instead of seeing how things would have gone for the 2 they had to wait 12 years and for a mother to meddle to get to where they should have been.
