Lilah's about to find out. But Ghost isn't the only one close to Lilah who may well be an enemy. Apparently, the line between friendship and murder, is bloody thin.

How does this series get better and better with every book?! With Kane’s main rival back in the picture and now the biggest murder investigation of Lilah’s career staring her in the face, tensions have never been higher. Neither have the stakes. Even though Lilah and Kane are on the same team, they have to fight separate battles. It’s all hands on deck including some new ones they have no idea they can trust. Yes, Ghost is right in the middle of it. But what role does he play?

L.R. Jones leaves us with another hair raising cliffhanger leaving us chomping at the bit to get our hands on book 10!

In Book #9 Lilah Love is looking for the killer of her boss, she realizes this is getting extremely close to her on a personal level. While investigating the murder Lilah is shocked to find Homeland Security on the scene. With no patience for outsiders Lilah’s instinct is at its highest alert and she starts to reach out to everyone in her circle for them to go into hiding. Knowing that the Society is responsible for this murder she takes no prisoners. She wants the killer found so she can kill them herself.

Meanwhile, Kane is having issues of his own trying to decide how to keep Lilah safe and taking care of his dead father. Feeling like he must make decisions that will change their lives forever.
The intensity of these two death defying characters had me enthralled in the book, lost wondering what was coming next.
While Lilah is deep in trying to find clues, the interim Director calls her to Washington DC for yet another murder. Not knowing who it was or how it happened she was whisked away to speak with the President of the United States; not understanding why the President wanted to speak with her she went and was informed that she could not disclose any intel to anyone. Not trusting the current interim Director and she did not trust the Homeland Security Director; she decided it was time to return to New York City to continue her investigation when “Ghost” approached her the #1 assassin in the world. The man who saved her life once and disappeared thereafter…. He informed her that she had a price on her back and that he knew who the killer was but could not disclose that information. Just as they drew guns he disappeared.
Once Lilah arrives back in NYC, she returns home to Kane who is still burning through his own problems. Lilah is deeply concerned about where his head is.
When Lilah tells Kane she and Ghost had words; he becomes even more angered. Kane, needing to stop his father departs looking for what he believes to be the best solution.

Lisa Renee Jones writes the most amazing murder mystery stories, they are full of suspense. Lilah Love and Kane Mendez are so addicting. Once you start reading you cannot stop. The Chemistry of these two main characters ignites a burn in your soul deep. They are two very broken individuals who come together like a moth to the flame. It is truly intense.
This story is so suspenseful I promise you will be gasping at the end…. Lisa Renee Jones has the best cliffhangers I have ever read. Grap your copy now and let me know what you thought as well of “THE GHOST ASSASSIN.”

The Ghost Assassin is a fantastic read. More bodies are piling up for Lilah as she hunts for her killer and tries to figure out who is Ghost. Kane has his own dealings as he discovers sometimes the dead come back. I love how strong Kane and Lilah's connection has gotten. You are in for a treat when it comes to this one and figuring out who is behind everything. I'm hooked on the Lilah Love series and cannot wait for more to come.

Enjoyed the dialogue particularly Lilah's bloodthirsty thoughts. Kane is her perfect fit for a mate equally bloodthirsty. But their actions are predicated more on stopping evil.
The big question is who can they trust.
Unfortunately it ends in a cliffhanger. Of course calling for the next book.

Kane is in Mexico and he kills Uncle Miguel. He is about to announce Laslo as the new boss. Laslo is killed by Roberto Mendez, Kane’s father who is supposed to be dead.

As Lilah wraps up the Horror Move Killings, she is dragged by Homeland Security to a new crime scene. Her boss at the FBI, Director Murphy, was shot between the eyes in a professional hit. Lilah is upset about two things. One, she won’t get the truth from him about why he was following her mother right before she died in a plane crash. Two, Lilah is worried that they are getting too close to the Society. She is afraid that the Society will go after everyone involved which includes Tic Tac, her cousin Lucas, her brother Andrew, Kane and herself. She requests that Danica Day be assigned as Medical Examiner for this case because she trusts her not to screw up.

Both Lilah and Kane have their hands full with Director Murphy’s murder and Kane’s father Roberto still being alive.

Whew! L R Jones does it again!
Lilah love picks up with the murder of her boss. She's on the case, but something isn't adding up. Now Kane has a secret that could hurt her.
I absolutely love this series! Lilah is amazing and the way she says what's on her mind and gets stuff done is the best. When I read the books I feel like I'm there with them

Lisa Renee Jones really turned up the intrigue factor in Ghost Assassin. If you're looking for things to be tied up neatly with a bow at the end of the book--think again. Ghost Assassin is part of a duet and yes you'll be left hanging. Lilah and Kane are up to their proverbial behinds in an alligator filled swamp, for vastly different reasons. Kane's trip to Mexico proved not only deadly but there was a shocking revelation that changes the entire playing field. It's kind of a "damned if he does or damned if he doesn't " situation. For her part, Lilah gets called in by Homeland Security to work a murder bypassing her FBI higher ups. In effect, DHS is tying her hands by keeping the investigation quiet--no press whatsoever. Secondly, she has to contend with two officials she knows nothing about and therefore does not trust. Especially when they seem to be talking out of both sides of their mouths. A second murder of a high ranking official has her investigation once again handcuffed by a news blackout. The intrigue and mystery only deepen with the minor information Lilah and her team dig up. What a ride!!!

The more we know the deeper the mystery becomes and Lilah doesn’t trust anyone and now Kane has serious problems of his own. From the highest office Lilah is asked to resolve the killings but Ghost also has an agenda. Oh and there is another cliffhanger.

3.0 out of 5 stars Barely a quarter of a story

I've greatly enjoyed the Lilah Love book series. Just recently I discovered the series. So there was just one week I actually had to wait for the next installment.

The ghost assassin feels to me as a strong start, like a quarter of a story, a bit of build up. And then book 9 was finished.

I'll probably check in a few years from now again, so I can enjoy the series more as a whole.
