About the Author

Sarah Fae lives in a chapel near Hadrian's Wall in rural Northumberland, England. She spends her time walking in the woods, writing poems, stories and articles on spiritual and social issues. After ten years in education she left to pursue her writing career and now creates courses for secondary teachers on personal, social, health education. Kathryn Holeman is an illustrator and book designer based on the east coast of the US. A New England native, she studied fine arts in college before beginning her publishing career at Random House in New York City. Kathryn's art can be found in colouring books such as 'Colouring History: The Tudors' and in the Fodor's Travel 'Inside Guides'. She is thrilled to debut as a children's book illustrator with 'Ghost the Christmas Stag'.

When Kathryn Holeman was five years old, she declared she would be a children's book illustrator when she grew up. A few decades later, and with lots of love and encouragement from her family and friends, she has now made this dream into a reality. She hopes Hector's journey inspires others to listen to their hearts and stay true to themselves, and she looks forward to following in his footsteps as she seeks other magical stories to bring to life on the page. The illustrations in this book were rendered in charcoal and Photoshop.
