Godsword: A Deckbuilding LitRPG (Goblin Summoner Book 3) Kindle Edition
Whisked away from Earth and dropped into a world filled with magic and wonder, Wildermount was the closest thing Gareth had to a home. Now it’s been destroyed, torn apart by twisted nightmares lashing out at the world around them.
Fleeing to the arcane tower he discovered with friends and refugees alike in tow, Gareth finds himself involved in new peril. Something dark is corrupting the rainforest around the tower and stopping it will involve travelling half the world away to a place unlike any he has come across yet. A land where the dead walk the streets as smokestacks blot out the sky.
Gareth will need all the levels and experience points he can if he’s going to survive in this new land. New enemies await him, and new cards lay waiting to be discovered, along with an ancient and powerful secret. One that might just give Gareth the edge in his quest to topple the gods.

- Reviewed in the United States on December 1, 2021I gotta say This is a very good volume of this theory so far it flushed out the characters a little bit Had a lot of action You kind of reminded me of the of the are Yu-Gi-Oh but a lot better I had to say that ain't really like about this It was on some of the dialog of Of the philosophy Of the existence of the universe that was a little bit long winded Beside that everything else was pretty good I highly recommend this to those who were you geo monger fans or even anime they might like this
- Reviewed in the United States on November 28, 2021First off two minor typos. In chapter 21 it has who instead of how. And later in that same chapter it has son instead of sun. The plot of the series continues to evolve. The character development is good for all characters. I really enjoy the unique deck building aspects of this series. There are a lot of heavy philosophical questions in these books. But the author handles them with respect while still adding in enough comedy that the story is still enjoyable. I look forward to the next book in this series.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 1, 2022Weird inconsistencies... Did the rules change during real life battles? An example that's bugging me (which shouldn't have spoilers) is mc is fighting something outside of a duel and draws three goblins and a banner. He plays only 1 goblin when he knows the creature he is fighting is stronger and tougher. What happened to playing cards as fast as you can select them during a real fight? There are other things like this that are either annoying or confusing as to why but it's still fun to read
- Reviewed in the United States on November 25, 2021So, I'm going to give this book and series both five stars.
I found the first book in this series ages ago and didn't pay it much thought, read it on a whim, and promptly wished I'd read it sooner. The series as a whole takes the oft-tread "Reincarnated to another world as a Warrior" trope and puts a pretty original spin on it (I certainly haven't seen anyone else coming up with a pretty compelling card based magic that both allows for turn-based and pitched battle mechanics), as well as creating genuinely likeable characters and a story I'm chomping at the bit for more of. Even the minor characters are compelling (although one or two are only compelling in that I'm compelled to plant a boot up their backside if given the opportunity *coughanynoblenottheDukecough*) and I'd like to find out their ultimate fates.
Down to nitty-gritty, the only downside to this book is there are a few typos: A few dropped words, or places where the order of two words are backwards, one instance of Gareth rendered as Garth, this like that. It can be mildly jarring, but it's not enough to jerk me completely out of the story, and so not enough to deduct from the five stars. I'm very much looking forward to book 4.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 24, 2022Corrupted Mana is threatening the Tower, it is come from the leyline connected to one of the Teleporters. Our intrepid party of Duelists travel through the transporter to find out and correct the source of the problem, which turns out to be in the city of Thot-Ankor, where most of the manual labor is done by Necrotic Fungus infused Zombies! Duels, fights, narrow escapes through the sewers, being chased by the Secret Police, and a whole lot more! Get it, read it, you won't be sorry!!
- Reviewed in the United States on November 25, 2021Though the hero has had lofty goals this book introduced the most important mechanic to any card card. A win condition. The road may be long but solid writing and well developed characters will see us though. I can’t wait to see what the next book brings.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 4, 2022The 'story' is 80% just long meandering conversations and musings where nothing is done. Read if you enjoy reading about people talking. Writing quality is not bad though.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 25, 2022Definitely enjoying the series but every book suffers from more than a few typo/grammar mistakes bringing it down in score.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not as good as book 1. But still worth it
The problems with this book began in book 2.
Long chapters about characters that don’t matter,
And really overly long bits about earth.
Nobody’s cares about how a dollar store works. Yet the author will take some time explaining it.
The world building is also getting far too much.
Characters haven’t improved much.
They are making minuscule changes.
The story is still interesting, but like a long Netflix series where they spend hours on boring bits, you can skim through the book on fast forward with no loss.
Other pluses no harem
And no sjw.
I’ll continue reading, but hope the boring interludes will be minimized in next book

3.0 out of 5 stars Well written, but needs better quality control
An interesting and fun read, but this series needs better quality control.
It's mostly typos here and there, but it adds up. That's why it's only 3 stars.

3.0 out of 5 stars Would be 4 stars if not for the grammar
I liked the book and the way it develops the plotline. However, the grammatical mistakes seriously took away from my enjoyment of it. Both this book and series stand out as having particularly terrible grammatical mistakes, even within the notoriously amateur Progression Fantasy genre. In desperate need of editing.

4.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant series
Absolutely love this series of books. Great characters, story building & magic system. The only downside is there are a few sentences where the grammar is out of place etc.
I also didn't like how the main characters just left someone behind who had helped them just like a meh too bad kind of attitude and it totally goes against the MC's personality as a wannabe hero?.
