Good Bad Witch: A Cozy Witchy Mystery (Good Bad Magic Book 1) Kindle Edition
I'm a witch. Not a powerful witch, mind, but as Grandma liked to say, it’s all in the kindness, not the power. Grandma is gone now, but her dream of having a witch shop lives with me. So, when the opportunity to run my own shop presents itself, I move across the country to take it, no questions asked.
But maybe I should have.
The sexy local bounty hunter shifter thinks I’m up to no good, my clients keep asking me to use forbidden dark magic, and someone’s trying to sabotage my shop. Probably the same someone who reported me to the Witch Council and left a dead body in my bathtub.
Hah! Joke’s on them. As Grandma also used to say, it’s nothing a positive attitude, excellent cleaning supplies, and the complete annihilation of whoever has in it for me can’t fix.
Paraphrasing.
Join Hope in her quest to save her shop in the Urban Fantasy world of Good Bad Magic, featuring witches, shifters, demons, one sexy bounty hunter, and all kinds of magical creatures. Full of humor, banter, plenty of heart, and a slow-burn romance.
Perfect for fans of K.M. Shea, Annabel Chase, and Annette Marie.

- Reviewed in the United States on January 11, 2025I enjoyed this story. It is well written, and funny. The main female character is like-able, and endears herself to you as the story goes along. While I did figure out the bad guy early on, the story was so good, you wanted to see how it ended. I am looking forward to book two! Well worth a try!
- Reviewed in the United States on October 23, 2023The action and plot twists kept me reading. Hope's innocence and goodness won me over. Her inner honesty, humor, and hard work to keep her spirits high and succeed kept me rooting for her. Believable romantic interest. Great ending.
I gave this light read 4 stars because I enjoy stories considerably more when multiple characters are well-developed.

- Reviewed in the United States on August 9, 2024If you’re looking for a quick and fun read, this might be up your alley! With witches, paranormal galore, and a murder mystery, this was definitely a page turner. Although the true villain was easy to pick out, it was still a lot of fun to read. A great refresher of a book or even a good pick me up if you’re in a slump!
- Reviewed in the United States on June 14, 2024The story was fun with enough mystery to make it interesting to turn the pages. It got only four stars because it left a cliffhanger.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 30, 2024The story was good and I liked the MC but at times I wanted to shake her! No one can be that ditzy, but I am going to read the second book and see how it goes.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 3, 2024The Witch, Werewolf, & Shifter Thriller is surprisingly superb. Hope is a weak witch who has been allowed to run a magical supply store in the guise of a tea shop. When a corpse shows up in her tub, she resolves to find the culprit and fight to keep her shop.
The main character is a paradox of possibilities. Hope grew up learning how to use magic, but she knows almost nothing about the magical community. Fortunately, her grandmother taught her to be law-abiding and morally outstanding. After the culprit is revealed, Hope must rely on help from others to survive. The end is pleasing.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 29, 2024I really enjoyed this book. The main character is new to town and doesn’t have much experience with magic, so she comes across as naive but she isn’t stupid. I like how she stays positive while dealing with problems and makes friends despite almost everyone seeming unwilling to give her a chance.

5.0 out of 5 stars What an incredible book!
Isa Medina is one of my new favourite authors ❤️
In this series, the main Character is Hope, a relatively mediocre witch who moves across the country when she’s given the opportunity to run a Witch’s shop after the last owners passing. Unbeknownst to Hope, this cosy little town has more in store for her than just keeping the shop afloat and making a good name for herself amongst the townsfolk.
From Mages seeking dark magic, mysterious bodies in bath tubs, to a certain sexy bounty hunter, Hope’s first foray into being a business owner is fraught with danger, mysteries and literally fighting for her life and her livelihood.
It all culminates in the type of cosy urban fantasy that hits all the right spots - a brilliant and interesting cast of characters, a plot that just keeps giving, and a world that is both comforting and a little terrifying in pieces.
Isa does a fantastic job with introducing us to the Good Bad Magic world, with a voice that is the perfect balance of witty, snarky, and genuinely optimistic. One of my favourite parts of the book, and Hope’s character, is her connection to her Grandma and her positive affirmations 💕 I might need to work some into my own vocab!
All in all, I’m hanging for November 30th when 🔮Right Wrong Shifter🔮 comes out!

4.0 out of 5 stars Light easy read
The heroine is very sweet but more than a bit dim, but it's a nice light story of eternal optimism.
